You can get the 5 through either collecting the white event wax that is spread all over the event area or reading the lanterns to get a larger cluster, or a combination of both. I find it quicker to just go through each of the 12 lanterns until I get my five, it is quicker.

yes, the second chevron did not go out because it was not entirely depleted . so you got 9 (~1000 wax). if you got 10 , 2 chevrons would have disappeared.

You can get 5 tickets (outside of the 15 ones in the area) either by viewing friends' riddles, replying to friends' riddles or just by being in the area (wax will spawn, but it is longer to collect)

Exactly 1000 wax each for granny and geyser, but geyser half as slow as granny, so needs more visits to reach the max.
Turtle's trail is connected to granny, the clams aren't and they are random amount and place every day. The darkness on turtle's back and beach clam are 151 wax always.

That has been changed and there's now a candle cake for 50 wax now.
You can go to granny to get much wax for few work in little time and usually any event has a passive wax source (e.g. current moonlight event spawns buns)
Aside from that, the game has an afk timer so if you do nothing for 10 min then wax won't be collected anymore

We get a hint on the Fridays *before *the week of their visit

When you attend red shards, you'll have the option to tp to the memory with the wl using the blue crystal the wl is in there and is manually collected, so you can avoid it easily by not interacting with the crystal most of them require flight to reach anyway so you're safe

The number of statues you can give your winged lights to is what determines the number of AC earned. There are 63 statues in Eden, each worth .25 ascended candles.

Maybe do a speed test on your wifi connection just to make 100% sure it isn't that? http://speedtest.net/ is a good one to use to check. You'd want ping to be lower than 35, and a download speed higher than 35.

Sky is a very demanding game as far as connection goes, so even though Discord or other things might be running fine, it is still possible that Sky may not be because of that.

Although the two of you asking about the same thing at the same time may suggest it may be on the server's end, still good to be sure

Maintenances are typically announced by TGC on some social media, and I'm not seeing one. They also usually do them much earlier in the day (it's 9pm for their main office currently).

It's alright, but it is a little slow... however, if you're having constant server errors, it may be due to something else.

If you close the game for a minute or so, and reopen, does it still continue as persistent as it is currently? Try not to touch the constellation buttons immediately; I believe there is a small bug around interacting with it too quickly after loading in, that may also be the cause if it isn't your connection.

It's hard to give a definite answer as each situation varies. Even if you were to compare it to previous issues with gifting, none can say for sure, as it all relies on specific coding. It could be as simple as something typo-ed, but in a different spot than where the issue was created, which may make it more difficult to find and fix. Like Bekah said, best to just watch for updates from the staff themselves
