boneyard and 8-player puzzle are the only two spots that i know of. if you’re having issues with the key changing on you, then turn bgm off once you calibrate your instrument to Db. it’ll prevent that from happening

Herokuapp and sky music nightly are similar sites, yet they are not the same. On Herokuapp you can only two intruments at a time (“layers”) but on nightly you can have 3 instruments

Sky music nightly has 3 layers where you can play 3 instruments at the same time, it's one of the best sky composer apps out there

it has the most useful and relevant functions, and isn't as limiting as the other composers are

things like the 3rd layer, the play-in-several-tabs-at-once toggle (bc i often use more than just 3 instruments for covers), etc. etc. are all things that only sky music nightly has. they're not very necessary, but certainly make transcribing much easier.

100%! the drawback is that with the many layers, it's very easy to create songs that aren't playable in-game. in a scenario where you wanted to make songs that you can actually play, i'd recommend the other composers (sky studio, sky scores, etc.)

Due to the limitations of sky instruments it is impossible to do a chromatic scale.
However you can go up a regular major scale of any key; but this depends on where you are.

the latter two are “web-apps”, meaning they’re websites you can add to your home-screen as makeshift “apps”. here’s how to do that: go to the site (a simple google search will get you there) on safari > click the box button in the bottom middle with the arrow sticking out of it > “add to home-screen”

Compared to making this with Sky Studio, playing it here makes it sound way less chaotic and just that much more smooth (Sky Studio has a layering system, but they will always be the same instrument which can cause pieces like this to sound weird and amalgamated). I did miss a few notes I noticed while I was polishing the song (since some notes for the second layer were cut out and they were with the notes on the first layer). This doesn’t change much but the polishing makes it sound a lot cleaner. Thank you

If you want to transcribe something, you can use a piano tutorial or a music sheet for reference. If there's none you'll use the song itself which is hard

And oh, use tunebat (search it on Google) to check what BPM and key your songs in

then you multiply the base BPM by 2 (if melody is simple) or 4 (if melody is complex)

What ends up happening is it saves, but most of the song is removed with fragments left behind (I call this being “Fragmented”). Godspeed, (the song which you replied to), still had some notes from the original, but most of them were gone like they were never placed.

This has also happened with other songs like Type: Electric, An extended version of Nth, a part of Deadlocked, and a few more. This even happened with Blue Megalovania (luckily I had recorded a video prior so I was able to recreate it easily).

Sadly, while these songs were recorded, Type: Electric never saw the light of day as it was not recorded prior to the bug. This also applied to the Extended Nth, but the original version was recorded.

so the blue notes are the upcoming notes that you need to press

the red ones are the ones that you have to press-

so once you press the red button, the blue button will turn red, and another blue button will appear

now I don't really know if this is already added but, you could also add a timed practice mode,
just like when you're trying to practice on the original Sky music sheets and the rings approach the edge of the button.
this was just in case if there are some skykids who want to perfect their timing with each tempos of the notes

Well, my songs from back then didn’t require tempo changers. It was entirely based on BPM. But now with Tempo changers, I can alter when a note appears while still keeping within the 4/4 (or 3/4) scale and it won’t just be a wild guess of where to place which note. It makes it more cleaner and quicker that way. Plus, doubling the tempo does not necessarily mean it will have the same speed without the tempo changers.
