The main difference between glockenspiels (what we have in-game) and xylophones is that glockenspiels have metal bars and xylophones have wooden bars. They sound vastly different too (glockenspiel has a sort of tinkling sound like a bell, whereas xylophone is more like a pitched “bonk” for lack of better term)

I think a lot of people use "xylophone" because it's the only word they have to refer that percussion family.

If testers can try to break it to see if there are bugs, even today xD. Sky music has a +-200k userbase so if I were to release it now and something is wrong, I'd get a lot of issues All at once and wouldn't be able to fix everything in time

And with it I'm also creating a more advanced format, but old apps like sky music and sky studio won't be supported, I might make an option to export songs with the old "legacy" format but it's not guaranteed, the new format will be recognisable by the file name:

i was talking about the composing apps . you can store sheet music inside the apps, and you can practice inside the apps because they have keypads similar to the one you find in-game. it is not possible to upload sheet music into the game itself. people who play music here are fantastic at what they do bc of the effort they put into learning/creating songs, and it is unkind to assume otherwise. please respect our efforts

it depends on you.
sky studio is imo p good for beginners, it's not too difficult to understand and it's easy to keep track of your songs.
sky music is much better than sky studio, having much more functions like the temp changes (the colored-bars), the different instruments for the different layers, and being able to practice sheets from the sky music library directly.
sky scores is great for practicing music, but its composer is a bit confusing. you also can't upload your own sheets to that site to practice without using the sky scores composer, which is a huge downside imo

My friend told me it was lazy and really annoying when they get praised even though they didn’t work hard and memorize it like her-

I'd say there is nothing wrong with being lazy, thats just one of millions of possible personality traits and you have to accept that of some people, and in saying that, if they choose to learn that way, thats fine. the only problem I have with using the app is that there's a way you can just screen record someone else's work (one of the pre-made sheets) and call it your own, which is absolutely disrespectful to the owner that made that for us to learn from. you shouldn't take credit for others work when you've done nothing but record it and post it. and yes it's possible to take credit, not that I've done it, but you can just crop the video and others won't be able to see if you've pressed one of the pre-made recordings

I've found out that background drum-beat track is incredibly helpful in transcription by ear and when you making songs. I've already shared these drums. But now drum is a second instrument. The thing is, if drum would be a first instrument, the second would present only 8 keys. And green notes (half notes) been removed, so there are plenty room for the fast melodies now
