Hi there! This is might be an issue with your keyboard. There is such a thing called "key ghosting" where pressing specific combinations of keys at once makes them partially or completely fail to register. Apparently it can occur for many reasons, but it's likely that your keyboard doesn't have anti-ghosting if it's a cheaper one

Can you expand the number of keys in the game from 15 to 36? Because there are no half-tones between the whole tones, the music played lacks flavor and can't restore the song. I hope that the keys can be changed into three groups, every 7 tones as a group, divided into alto and treble and bass. There are half-tone keys between each full tone, which can be referred to the instrument buttons ui in Chinese games "5th Personality" and "Egg Party"👀 😫

yea i just explained one of the possible solutions. Obviously there's more. You can search the internet, but I just mentioned that one in particular since a lot of keyboards have issues with ghosting from their design

I had the same issue with my old cheap keyboard until I switched to a mechanical one that had anti-ghosting, and it fixed itself. I naturally leaned towards that solution, since you appear to have the same problem. If it ain't for you, you can try the other solutions, provided you've made sure that your keyboard model really doesn't have key ghosting

I've heard of https://coyotemidi.com/ that you can probably just use to directly map the MIDI input to keyboard keys, your keyboard is already a perfect fit. Though in my case, I just quickly made my own input mapper with the ability to "smartly" compress the current notes being played on an entire 88-key piano to fit into just two octaves.

They warn you to proceed with caution, but don't directly forbid you from such use. I understand the concern, and any consequences (like malwares) from such use is the responsibility of the user.

This concern would apply to most people just downloading off the internet, but I'm pretty sure that my own software that I made only for myself (I do not distribute it anywhere) would be pretty safe for my own personal use.

Hey fellow composer people, how do you guys get around octave issues? I’ve tried jumping back to the higher octave, but it just makes it sound wrong. (It’s meant to kinda trail down the keyboard)

It depends on the context but sometimes it will sound better to play a harmony rather than jump the octave. For me the best answer is to play with what works for that piece

I just usually don’t change octave at all. Many songs work without if you find the right key combination. Other then that if youre talking about the game changing the key‘s sound to one octave higher or smth like that, then just completely deactivate in-game music to fix it.

The two main apps I see people use is either Nightly (you can search up “Sky music nightly” and it should pop up) or download “Sky Studio” from the App Store on a mobile device. I recommend using nightly for PC, and Sky Studio if you’re on mobile.

if you play on PC, OBS studio is a free software that lets you record game footage. it's often used for streaming as well. if you play on playstation or nintendo switch, the same software should be compatible if you use a capture card. i'm not sure about the options available to mobile players, though.

You don't, that's a limitation we have with the game's instrument system.
You have to stick with the flat notes of your current music key.

If anything, you "can" play sharp notes if your current music key is set to anything but C. Altho you're only stuck to just what the music key provides

Despite the electric guitar only being available for a limited time I still ended up getting the cello first because it has a much warmer richer sound and the sustain is a lot more noticeable. Electric guitar sounds amazing too but I think as an overall instrument cello is the best

I did end up getting the guitar in time too, but only with a few days remaining and going grey almost daily if I didn't think it was possible I for sure would've gotten the guitar first, but I knew it was so I caved and got the instrument I really wanted first

it's not actually a player who honks in the middle. the performance guide and frantic stagehand have a scripted routine with expressions that will take them up to the alcove on the second floor with a jam station, as well as another area where you can actually do a jam session with them to play a different music sheet past the mellow musician

part of their routine is to honk at each other. and that's very early into the routine, so you're likely to hear it if you run into Harmony Hall and go straight to the daily music challenge.

they will also mimic the last call heard on your device, which will be the default one if none was used.

So like, any tips on how I should adjust my fingers? I use 2 fingers (I switch between my thumb and pointer, or pointer and middle) for both hands. When I play sheets, there's like 3 or more notes that need to be pressed what do I do? 😅
