I think they are using the new version of Sky Studio. The format files between .txt from Sky Studio and .json from Music Nightly are different [For format files in Sky Studio, they just straight write it, like; [{[33,6,86,961,1,8]}]. For Music Nightly, they write it more complex, like; [[[8,"1"]]],[2],[1,],[3,[[9,"1"]]] etc ]

But I can transcribe the Sky Studio .txt file format to readable in Music Nightly for you.

SkyMusicNightly uses column system. maybe its hard to read this as a text:[[[8,"1"]]],[2],[1,],[3,[[9,"1"]]]. but i read this with indent4. it help me to understand. i dont know skyStudio sheet system becouse I've never used it before.

Actually txt, json, skysheet, genshinsheet are all json based files. Reading it as indent4 makes it more understandable.

Start off playing your chosen piece really slowly until you memorize it then you can build up to the normal speed

Practice practice practice really works. I keep playing until I can play all the way through without making mistakes. If you make a a mistake, stop and start over immediately. It will help you remember where to fix the mistake. Also believe in yourself! ✨

i think ideally you start by learning how to comfortably "hold your instrument" and by that i mean get familiar with the controls. practice playing a scale from the lowest note all the way to the highest and back down to the lowest. also, watch the notes on screen to build that hand eye coordination. from there, its all about finding a simple but melodic song that works with sky's instrument note limitations. some good ones are merry go round of life, happy birthday song, or even the USA national anthem and also, the best piece of music advice i ever recieved

C Major is a key used by default in Sky and can be changed by switching areas or opening ingame music sheets (C-lt of the Lamb is mostly written in A Major, which is what you hear in my video). Kindred’s theme is also written in C Major, except Sky instruments do not have sharps or flats while playing in the key of C Major.

To further add insult to injury, there are only 15 notes that you can play at one time in game, which renders a lot of arpeggios in both bass and treble of the piece to not work. A possible solution is to, of course, have two instruments - the piano and the cello, to play treble and bass respectively in unison, as it is in the original piece.

the only issue ive found with placing it into sky music via a composer app/site is that there is no way (that i know of) to denote something as a triplet??? and everything is in 4/4 and u dont get a choice to change so the notation may get messy

if someone knows how to do this please let me know, i use sky music nightly

Have you tried to play around with rests and bpm strategically? Just curious. I am going to try a song eventually that has a lot of triplets. I thought part of the app is more for planning and practice and you could probably make a mental note if the time should be 3/4 in your head

Played flute so it was always like "what's the beat? I'll just do whatever the rest of the band is doing." Now I am as rhythm deaf as I am tone deaf. 😅

for the sake of my sanity and not multiplying the bpm by 3, i accepted that the four ish notes were going to be wrong and synced up the rest of the timing

at that point i was a few hours in and had changed the bpm multiple times

and only belatedly realized they were triplets

Hmm... wonder if you could do some ratio to convert your bpm to 3/4? Like multiply your intended bpm by 3 and divide by 4? And I see

3/4 works fine, just that the notation that sky nightly uses to show your breaks in bars will be incorrect

however it splits 4 bars into groups of 4 by colour and THAT you can change to be groups of 3

which means youd have 3 4-note bars or you could have 4 3-note bars in your head :)

Try to YouTube "easy piano" tutorials for songs? Easy songs tend to be all of the white keys which correspond to the default c major scale of the Sky instruments. Pop songs are going to have a lot of that such as Smooth Criminal.

I think this might be what you're looking for,(?) I managed to make a triplet by using the tempo changers at the bottom right in the app.
I used 1/2 ones, and placed two of them in each so I'm splitting one of the four notes into two quick ones. The orange circles are a metronome. I wish I knew music theory to properly explain this lol, but hopefully it's understandable.

You’re really learning to name the intervals on the keypad (the distance between notes). They are named according to their distances apart in the scale such as minor second, major second, fifth, major seventh, etc. This knowledge is used to build harmonies (chords) and melodies, plus you can train your ear to hear those distances in music so you can reproduce them on an instrument. Many can do this already with their voices when singing a favorite song, so it’s often a matter of learning the intervals on the keypad. I have some ideas for Sky specific videos on this too if anyone is interested in learning ear training. 🎧🎹❤️

Can I ask something really quickly?

I have a lot of trouble when I’m trying to learn songs in sky.
I can’t find many guides that list out the buttons I need to push. I cannot figure it out just by watching someone play the song.

I also cannot read music. It is because of something I cannot control, and regardless of how much I practice, I cannot change this fact.

No one seems to make music sheets with the note letters though.

I think I might just be missing something. Do any of you know any resources I can use? A place to find music sheets with the note letters instead of music notes?

if you have a skysheet file, you can import it into sky-music.specy.app and you can practice with guides through the player section of the site. itll highlight exactly which note/swuare/button to play when you play the song using the practice button
on this site you can also change the visual keyboard that shows up from musical note names, to keybinds, to a1 b2 etc. im unsure if this site works on anything besides PC though TwT

i have young and beautiful, rises the moon, tale as old as time, and some more! they arent the full songs, but they're close!

i am also a pc player myself so i feel the struggle but a tip is just sitting somewhere with an instrument and using the sky music sheet app to write down the right notes. (you can use google docs to write down the notes, then paste them somewhere to copy on your phone then transfer it to your notes app, then boom!)

its practically the same on pc vs mobile, it's just the offest of the keys. i usualy play on mobile but my skills transfer to pc pretty well. i'd say the hardest part of both is getting your hands to twist and press the chords correctly =w= (and also, yk, remembering the sheets)

There are third party sky music apps and websites that shows you the notes! Though you can only practice them there, and then play them in game of what you've memorised xD
