does anyone have resources on making layouts for user music sheets? i ask because once the PC version of the game is public, we should anticipate a larger portion of the player population lacking touch screens. they will be using mouse/keyboard or controllers like console players.

an entire aspect of the game's community may be unavailable to them simply because music sheets are only available in the 3x5 grid. as is the experience for play station and switch players already. i find the first button layout on switch most intuitive, but can't play many chords (it doesn't like simultaneous up/down button input, and my hands are playing twister ) and i can't play as fast referencing 3x5 sheets

please don't skip over this message, even if you can only react with a shrug. this question is only going to be asked to more as time goes on and we approach PC release, so having an answer early on would be of huge help

Id suggest getting sky studio or just experimenting with the notes till you can get it to sound as similar as possible. You might have to cut parts out or just make it sound slightly off on parts. But you can do it with some creativity

unfortunately sky doesnt have half notes (tgc simplified the keys cuz they said it would be difficult for non-musician players to play on a traditional keyboard layout) although you can change the key of your instrument depending on your location in sky!

but if you want flat notes in a sky music sheet you have to use two layers with different keys in order to access that other half note

but i reached max layer count so im here just 🧍‍♂️
