True, a crimson interior maybe with small blue strikings on the cape would be cool, the collar I'm not bothered ab really, but I agree with the whole red thing... Then again TGC are probably likely to make some sort of changes to it so it looks as best as it can be.

As and when needed by tgc, the recent one happened to fix a candle bug that had been an issue for a little while, we probably won't get another currency reset anytime soon unless there's another bug

Yeye last time i brought it up i had also brought yp the point that the current cosmetic prices might very much scare off free 2 play players as well wich makes it rly seem like this season is only rly catering to vets (no qualms with vets its just an observation) and had also thought maybe if they rly insist on having such high prices to instead up the amount of SC? It seems even in beta with 20+ sc a day takes a while to even get some of the cosmetics so maybe 10 candles a day could work?

By tester calculations, if the season is intended to run for the same length of time as usual then f2p will again only get like a one day skip too, which sucks and with the length of time it'll take to save for cosmetics, I imagine the motivation might dwindle and burnout is likely to happen faster for a lot of people
the season quests aren't particularly fulfilling at the moment and the shard events will become repetitive

for a little while there was a balance between cr for season cosmetics and doing quests in between when they were due, but I think when you're also running for ts and the prices are hiked for friendship alongside everything else it's becoming a big ol' chore day in and day out

tbh most of the things that make this season different from other seasons dont feel like theyre adding anything. we have no emotes, calls, or stances.. but the cosmetics dont feel like theyre making up for that. we only have two "spirits" that arent actually spirits, and they dont feel like they add anything to the season or the story and feel like they only exist as an excuse to have more expensive nodes. theres not going to be cutscenes, but theres no good alternative ways of storytelling to make up for it. the season adds shard events, but other than being dangerous they dont feel any different from other events like grandmas or geyser

the lack of cutscenes confuses me, like don't get me wrong there's some cutscenes I want gone (valley boats I'm looking at y'all) but actual season quests with lore threaded into them? they seem super important and to not have them in a season that has so much potential to tell us more about sky lore and eden lore in particular I'm just ???
I like the change from spirits to memories, but without the story telling aspect it doesn't currently make sense why there was a change

The cost per tree is higher because the spirit tree, which used to be 4 or more, has been reduced to 2. The solution is to double the number of rewards you can earn by increasing the number of trees or lengthening the trees. I want more rewards😆

I'm a little lost too 😖 So far I like the thrill of the shard events as I'm a fan of Wasteland and Eden. But we've been promised a new game play. Rescuing grey kids and burning plants while dodging crabs is not new.

I'd say, Prophecy brings more revolutionary gameplay. And as far as I remember, they didn't advertise it as "a season like no other" either.

So the creature scenes in the void are ambient but they don't build into a bigger story or provide different views on an event in time like the markings did in prophecy.

Take the new-ish quests for example back in whatever update, all they added was relieving specific spirits most of them being carry spirits and making quest completion more time consuming

And now they make losing light more annoying, regenerating light while in this state also more annoying and 2 spirits instead of 4 just because. Making prices per node more expensive which will make getting new cosmetics take more time
Seriusly they could perfectly make a jelly spirit, baby manta spirit, krill spirit and flower spirit

@worldly cipher concerning the picture you posted; that is a visual bug of sorts that appears from time to time when you try to burn plants with very low wedges/don't have many wl. you can burn darkness plants even while capeless. however, it is significantly slower so they likely are related somehow. that text would also appear during some of the seasonal quests for flight as well - also something that was unintentional

That said, I have a theory I need others to help verify. While the crystal is flashing, put your app in the background -don't close it, maybe don't even really switch away- for maybe 10-15 seconds, then go back in. Obviously you need to do this in a relatively safe place. But I think this may force the server to resync, stopping the flash and making things burnable. at least for you. It seems to have happened to me twice so far (once on accident, once on purpose) and I'd be interested to see if the same thing happens to anyone else.

I found that 20 mins from the sky first changing colour is when the event switches to another stage where the rocks stop flashing and you can finally burn plants. I do want to try what you say but it usually resets the game for me to tab out.

I think the server is somehow "resetting" the shards very rapidly, both causing the flash and maxing out the plants so they can't be burned. I suspect that it's some kind of synchronization error: the server doesn't think its perspective matches that of the players, so it tries to force them back into line with something it can be sure works, and that happens to be the initial state just after the shard lands. But if I'm right, then if you can convince the server that you agree, the constant resets should stop. That's what the forced resync is for.

I noticed that others are also burning plants that I can’t see, and that the meditation portion didn’t trigger until I had burned the last I was seeing. Sometimes burning all of them wasn’t necessary so I suppose specific ones are needed. Since it was with strangers I wasn’t sure if some had already triggered the circle for themselves, but they were able to turn up in the same light catching segment with me.

Basically it seems like things aren’t totally synched up.

Wow this shard was a complete pain to do. Me and the other like 4-5 players that were there spent like 10mins trying to burn singular plants all together and they never did. They would just reset after awhile. The flashing rock as well was very annoying. Eventually the shard just disappeared and we were able to meditate to collect the frags.

It's not that I don't like the shards either, it's a cool idea and it's always really fun seeing eden explode and watching the shards fall from the sky in different areas, but idk, it just takes up a lot of time for 1 ac, eden all around just seems like the better option because it's just one trip and then you're back.

So if I understand this correctly, you get one AC per shard event... And only one realm has those happening per day... For the player who can't devote a lot of time to sky, that is a huge blow after being able to do a singular eden run with up to 16ac earned per week.

As much as I like the idea of being able to get ac outside of eden, this is not a good execution of that. It's too time consuming. And with the flashiness of both eden and these shard events, this is more harmful to photosensitive players.

I think the shards are very cool indeed, I'm excited for what it means for the game and for the lore. My first experience in eden as a moth had already felt harrowing, and it made me feel cool when I finally got all the statues. I don't know why making it more difficult to do eden and more expensive to advance friendship trees seems to be their recent priority. If they just swapped around the placements of the statues every week that would be a more interesting challenge than literally KOing you in the storm.

Make sure you link your account to something (apple, google, game center, nintendo, etc) before uninstalling to save your progress. uninstalling doesn't hurt your position in the tester group unless you take extra steps to leave the beta program in addition to uninstalling.

if you're android, i'd also clear cache/data on top of the uninstallation process to make sure there isn't some fragmented data corruption lingering on your device.

Technically the spirits haven't moved. The problem is that the guide's Teleport function is taking you to the wrong place (a random Ancient Memory instead of the Void), and there's no other way to get to the right place.

In its current form, when the quest for debris begins, we cannot see the eruptions of these areas until the debris falls to the ground, so we do not know if it will fall there.

My understanding is that the shard events happen every 30 minutes in beta for testing reasons. They used to happen on the dot at the half hour mark, but now Eden first starts erupting and then about 8-10 mins after the shard event happens.

The tip i got a few days ago is tap on the quest you want at home via the quest guide just before entering the realm and before doing the event each time. Its worked for me so far, i just completed 4th quest that way.

As I recently posted on the feedback channel, I thought that players who are not interested in the world of Sky and the mysteries of its legends would find the Season of Shattering very boring.
Because this season has very few "seasons and spirits story elements" compared to previous seasons.
Even if the bugs are fixed in the future, I feel that the content does not attract the general public.

I would still like to see the testing period extended.
I would like to see you add movies and statements referring to the history and destruction of the kingdom in the season openings and endings, as well as when quests are received and completed.
For example, something about the creatures of light and dark, about the Elder Spirits, about the origins of the Skykids, or the lore of the King who supposedly was in the Kingdom of Sky.

That's the typical length of a season. Even regular seasons get boring after the constellation is comoleted. Shattering doesnt even have a constellation to complete. Just shards for every quest atm. Cleanse and go, wash rinse repeat.

Here are my thoughts

As I said earlier, beta is currently failing at representing the scale of these events in the live version. The new injury systems and the new shard events are supposed to complement each other. Since the new injury mechanic is meant to drive people to interact with each other, it could be better if the danger the shards posed increased.

I just came back from a full server doing the event, and found it to be much more entertaining. But none of us received any harm and we did not get to see the new injury mechanics in action

Any shard location works (has to have meditation afterwards,) you’ll just have to pray it actually gets it completed

You might not be able to complete it tomorrow with Forest since those reward regular wax, unless we get a different rotation

Meditation spots only open for large shards, the ones that won't produce circles are the enterance to Forest and gws broken temple shards
I've tried already that's why I know. If there's no crabs spawned by the shards, there's no quest available

Not in the slightest. I’ve already put in my feedback but I am extremely disappointed with the shard memories, live players will have to wait weeks in between these quests to essentially unlock a snap shot of a memory? The memories feel empty and disjointed, there feels like there is no story behind them. It can be likened to the little princes “special” area. Just a barren void with nothing that makes you come back for more. There needs to be something in the memories that is more interactive. Being able to bounce on the jellyfish, the crab memory filled with moving crabs that don’t attack you. The manta memory filled with continuous flying manta. The lightning and red rocks crashing and flickering in the krill memory. Just something that makes it seem more worth while. 4th memory in and still unsure of what message we’re being told through the shard

Seems they could have done a tad more with the seasonal quests completion.. some sort of animation.. or anything at all. Seems kinda bland as it is. Particularly since there are no new spirits to unlock, new emotes, etc.

I agree , we need something more to quests and/or memories to make the season inspiring in the early stages.
Imagine if you could not only interact but one of the horde of crabs/manta/jellyfish follows you around if you find them in the crowd?

Or they move to take you to more hidden memories in the void about their life/their ending?

Would that sort of thing make it feel more special to be in the void?

They set a high bar after the season that was in the Dessert (vault).. gave us a taste of good storytelling.. so.. now here we are.. story-less.

It’s a nice enough season, but considering it is about Eden.. it is not.. up to par. Just burn dark plants and compete task.. meh!!

I only hope the finale will reveal it in live...and beta is just testing gameplay aspects

I'd also have to see the other memories as well as some of my other theories to put into words what I mean exactly. I'm trying to figure out using context, it's related to Eden, something has shattered and it affected many of the creatures that was in there. Perhaps those creatures were escaping the explosion? It's why they're now stones?

The other creatures seems made of stone or petrified. The krills seemed alive instead. It made me think the red crystals created them or gave them life. This was a well rounded story. The stones/statues I'm not getting.

The only thing that makes sense of the mantas one is it could be refering to all the killed mantas due to power stone creations.... And that the jellies became less and less... The crabs one makes zero sense to me besides looking cool. Krill one could represent the rise of Darkness and the fall of Wasteland

Hey everyone! Could someone help me here?
I’ve been trying to complete the second quest for days now, i was always sent into oob as soon as i finished burning all the darkness. so i waited some days, now i got back and wanted to check the quests again but suddenly i have all 4 quests completed now??
