it should be fine. the most you'll see on a season with 4-5 spirits is about 30+. 50+ seems justified when there's only 2 spirits with less content available.

that's the whole point. it takes for ever to finish any season entirely, regardless. if they lower the prices, they'll have to add more content to account for the extra days/weeks left.

Getting yeeted out of bounds is heartbreaking. That bug has existed for a while in a specific form: if you fly through the loading screen between the butterfly fields and the caves in Prairie, if you don't connect quick enough, you will fly and fall through the floor and be sent back to the start

Hmm i think this might be the point they’re trying to make though, the final stint of eden shouldn’t be easy to traverse alone, you’d need the help of others to make it through the storm for a chance to gain those 15AC. I think it does incentivise players to seek connection when in harsher environments. The counter argument would probably be: Instead of making it harder for solo players i think they should just make it easier for group players and keep the level of intensity that eden is in live, I’m in two minds about it because i like the aspect of working together to reach a goal

i do like the idea of working together to achieve a goal, it's a good aspect as the whole point of sky is to be social. however even as a solo player a lot of the time, it's incredibly frustrating. granted this season introduces a way to earn AC without having to go to eden, so it's not like you'll always have a reason to go now, but on the other hand, i like being able to collect all candles myself without the help of others.

Sky's alpha would probably be internal testing. You can't really grasp something in a confined testing space with only as many people as the company in it

in terms of game development, alpha is a preview build used only by certain testers, usually just the developers themselves and a select few people they choose to test it. it's mostly internal. beta on the other hand, is more public. not used just internally, but externally.

its the new seasonal idea/theme out of the traditions, so i suppose they dont have many ideas for the quests atm, but the more we contribute, the more interesting it will get. This season might take longer to test anyways, i somehow feel it

Bloom had a lovely wisteria tree in Forest with Lightseeker spirits
Nature brought sunset and the turtle

I seriously hope they don't make those extreme changes in Eden. Originally, I loved doing Eden and would do it multiple times a week to help friends get Ascension candles. Not being able to recharge someone by honking, though, makes doing group runs useless.

As someone who started beta in 2019 before release, I have seen how TGC has gone from listening to us and responding to feedback to basically ignoring problems that are reported and not fixing them before updating live.

I sure hope so. Something I mentioned in my feedback to them is feeling like they don't listen to us like they used to back in the early days. When I joined beta in 2019 before release, they would listen and would fix stuff before updating live. Now they don't do that, and also go ahead with changes that everyone I know voted against.

There are two spirits one is the embodiment of light and the other of darkness, the new area imo looks like it will “expand” and become more detailed the more quests we complete. This season is completely different from the previous ones and it’s kinda refreshing imo

I mean there are many different elder hairs and most are expensive. If they balanced it to not be a permanent shield, it would be interesting.

Plus Elder Hairs are always available to grind for, so every player has the opportunity to get one. So it won't be exclusive/unfair

I don’t think theres a problem with giving elder hairs protective qualities, it provides better justification for their expense which is actually a lot. Maybe if you unlock all elder hairs your sky kid earns that protection and can wear whatever they want?

You may be glad it's a bug, but many others like me would be interested to see it implemented to the game in a more balanced way. If you don't enjoy the mechanic, you can always choose not to wear it and allow others to enjoy it. Different fun for different people. I enjoy both protection, and the challenges sometimes. I think offering a choice isn't bad

ermm, the most concerning spirit that i have seen people struggle with is the pleaful parent, but i will still upvote for elder hairs, since they might just focus on that one spirit instead of completing the constellations and elders in general

I remember getting my first Elder Hair as a Moth and i was so excited. Imagine a Moth getting an Elder Hair with a tangible blessing or gift from the Elder other than style. How exciting would it be for them them!

because its not an easy job getting the elder hairs, thats why i think the protection is rewarding to those who completed it, its normal as you gain more the more you make efforts, i see it as an inevitable outcome when you progress in the game. I wont think of it as a disadvantage to moffs or advantages to vets, since it serves as motivation for game progress imo

I get the point about players eventually developing with time, but, with all of the other stuff going on in sky all the time, it would take MONTHS for a beginner player to finish a constellation without sacrificing events and ts.
that's a huge period time to go from being vulnerable to krills to essentially immortal, not everyone will like it

if you guys need a more "legitimate" shortcut for eden, it doesnt go all the way up to pnr but if you take a left after the tube leading to the krill you can fly up to the ledge on the main vertical pipe and wait out the patrolling krill before flying into the tube leading into it. you still havw to hike the rest of the way up but it is a few moments of assured krill protection

This is the first build of the season. It has bugs. There is no way to fix that. They are working on it. Some things have to wait until the bugs are fixed. Rushing TGC or complaining that something isn’t in the game yet or that it’s repetitive when the season just started, is not helpful. Wait until they can improve it.

As for the crabs though, I do think a lot of it comes down to the scarcity of players in beta. If a group of players, even just two or three try to do the quest together it makes saving each other and burning the plants much nicer as a challenge than being tedious I find.

Well, I once mentioned each shard clearing quest we do is probably meant to have some cutscene since we're supposed to SEE some memory somehow from them. (And Ash replied with " WAFO")

So I think the other big thing from this is that we're meant to have this lore drops from memory cutscenes. Maybe even allow us to do things within the memory cutscene itself

Also, remember this is literally the first build, everything is rough and unfinished, we literally have new mechanics added right on top of that. Plus, Days of Rainbow too.

And who knows, the more bigger stuff may be coming in later quests. We know the first and second ones are usually the most simplest

I think the issue with the "challenge" of that season is that moths can stuble on it randomly and have a hard time completing it, while for Prophecy you had to go to the cave and the trials got harder as you progressed :o00

I wouldn’t know to comment about the candles, but if you find someone who has items you think they should not have then the safe bet is to report them. The chance of running into a genuine item compared to a hacker would be extremely low and the report would be checked too so it’s safe to do so.

There are gameplay videos out there that shows how they're obtained. (DO NOTE THAT THIS MAY CHANGE)

You pretty much go to the QG, and teleport to the area like with Performance. You'll be sent to the dark room (like when you die), but then you'll see two structures. Ancient Memories of Light and Ancient Memories of Dark. These will be your "spirits", where you can get the Seasonal items.

You can get the ultimate as usual, with the QG!

There aren't, in the usual sense. These pseudo-spirits have no emotes or even character designs (though they do appear alongside large statues), and they don't show up in the constellation table.

As seasonal spirits are absent from this season, they are the ones to offer the cosmetics instead. And as Xehrebec said, they dont have a character design so i wouldnt say they are seasonal spirits too.

there's a lot of questions we don't have answers for yet, and how this season will impact the traveling spirit system is one of the most decisive ones tbh. other things I wanna know asap is things like; how many candles/ascended candles the darkness shard quests will rewards us with, if they can be done multiple times per day for equal reward, if they give reward proportional to the amount of darkness burned or if it is how many shards you collect, etc.

Guys i just discovered something. I was in valley dealing with the darkness and I got low on light. So went to a memory candle and as I expected some kind person was doing long calls to give light. But here is where i made a discovery. The crabs, which were pretty much ingnoring me started to chase the memory doing long calls. All 3 of them!. It was harlious and enlightening to see. Long short, dont make a sound and dont get too close and you will have a good chancenof being ignored by the crabs.

`So after a bit of thinking, I finally have a thing to add. I really enjoy this new tone of Sky, being much darker and all of that, but I see how the people that came to this game to relax are being stressed out, especially if the event continues past the season so I have a proposition.

I think the guide figure should remain in one of the realms (perhaps the Eden hub?) to be talked to so we could replay the quests if we need to.
Or perhaps have it be a toggling option? It would work both for the people who are fine with it, and the ones who are too scared.

I think the post-season event should be optional and be able to be toggled.`

Yes but no realms have any seasonal candles. So right now you get the daily candle from the shrine and the 4 from the quests. Totalling 5 candles. A person without a seasonal pass gets at most gets 5 candles per day. So right now we are playing as though we don't have the pass even though we do because the realms have no additional candles to collect.

I dont see how that is possible. Yes the quest giver can be in eden. That makes sense. But the whole optional darkness would be incredibly difficult to implement. It think it would be better to focus on the bright lights that overwhelme the screen. As it has been meantion it tell you which realm it will be in and you can simply fly over without having to burn anything. Like gyser, i can ignore it or participate, this version with the darkness is simply darker and more of a risk. I am more worried about the brightness and flashing lights than having a social light event optional.

Well there's only 2 "spirits" that sell them and technically the amount total is how much a season usually cost. But it could change tho as currently it's been only a few days since testing began

Umm in beta each realm typically has 8 candles (minus dawn) to collect wax from. 2 candles give 1 full seasonal candle. 4×5+5= 25 seasonal candles per day. We currently dont have the candles in each realm. So as of now, we can only get 5.

Different quest. The one in Live is about the rainbow with candles, which is in the Citadel. The one in Beta is about admiring the rainbow, which in the Hermit Valley.

Except the geyser event is restricted to just one spot. People are afraid of the new mechanic because it is all over the realms and can easily startle everyone and scare them off. The worry isn't just about the camera shaking and flashing lights… yes, this is an issue, but people do not want to be scared and wary of world events that are dangerous in a game like Sky.

Ktjn said it before, but to reiterate, yes—the team is discussing how these items would be made available again. But right now, we're at the very start of testing this season—the soonest these items could conceivably come back is next year.

So our priority and focus for this testing cycle is the current season with its current items, and that's the main feedback we're looking for. Specifics on something that won't happen until next year aren't in the focus of testing right now.

Yes that's true, but it is indicated which realm it will be each day before entering the realms. It isnt random. I like that it isnt random and you can see you're entering a realm where it is located. Cause then i know what to expect rather than being thrown off guard. The lights can trigger more than just seizures. For me it can trigger my ptsd but because I have that indication, i know what to expect and i am not caught off guard. It does more for a person than is being given credit for.

Seizures and triggering ptsd are a risk with these lights. I am interested in how they approach this issue. I figure they can approach it like they do with sound and have a way to adjust the intensity in settings.
I dont know about seizures but I do know about ptsd since I have that. The indication on the door to the realm is helpful for that since i can prepare myself and I know what I am walking into but I doubt it can do much for seizures.

Suggestions come from a good place, but a lot of times the suggestions we get aren't possible to implement for any number of reasons (tech constraints are a big one). It's incredibly helpful simply saying how you felt about something and, if possible, why.

i think our best bet for the flashing lights problem is a toggle in settings that lets you tone down the flashing, what i would do is look away from the screen or cover it but I'm not sure if you have a more serious problem with it, please tell me if this wouldn't work and i can delete
