I went to eden after I had the quests completed. So I don't think so, however, I believe that you have to have at least 1 eden trip under your belt before even starting the season. The message in the game yesturday said so. But if you have been to eden before this season arrived you should be okay!!!

I finnished both seasonal quests yesturday. Today I don't have the circle saying I can go see the memory and I think it is because I don't have any new memories to see. The area just went back to normal....
I do wish we can still sit in the circle to review the memories. And that we can sort of see them all at once. Like I saw the first memory and thought the second would combine with the first but it was like an entirely new space. I would like to see all the memories eventually in preferable one room rather than these one hit wonders. What do you guys think??

Trying to view them again from the Void does give me a dialog asking if I want to view the memories again, but clicking Yes does nothing at all. I thought the cutscenes just weren't in place yet; are you saying that it really is possible to watch them?

To be fair, it's Beta. Things are only very minimally tested before they get to us (and, in fact, it was delayed because the first builds didn't pass the internal testing). We're supposed to be the ones finding and reporting bugs. That's the deal. This isn't early access: it's a job. And they make us work.

You couldn't touch the ground in the Home space, or the intro cutscene would try to run, only it was buggy and the game would crash. You had to start flying the moment you got into the game, then fly into a realm without touching the ground, or else you couldn't play at all. We called it the Floor Is Lava bug.

Tbh the struggle was more like getting the game to work lol it’s mostly cause of the bugs and stuff and not the quest itself being challenging… You just burn the thing and collect the shards, usual game play, the rain doesn’t even bother you cause butterflies come to recharge you every now and then (as of now… maybe if krills gets involved it will be another story)

Sorry for the late-ish ping, but I wanted to clarify, Isle does get affected by the Eden eruption (I think that’s what you were asking about?). You can’t see Eden itself until you pass the temple, but the environment does very much change even when you can’t see the mountain. I really do like how the Eden Mountain explodes darkness crystals. It gives my lore-induced goblin brain some ideas on how the kingdom fell to ruin + all the citizens died and how nature managed to rebuild itself through light.

That doesn't mean darkness is completely gone, though! Since darkness plants are still plentiful, especially in Wasteland. I think the Eden mountain exploding is like a volcano situation — it happened a long time ago and hasn't happened in a while until now.

My guess is that they do intend for there to be an effect for some purpose, but it's not supposed to be on the elder hair. They attached it to the elder hair to test the effect, but then they forgot to take it off before releasing the build.

The actual shield animation, if I remember correctly, is actually very old, dating back to some videos I saw of Light Awaits. The entire mechanic behind it was scrapped, but they must have kept the animation around in case they wanted to use it for something else.

My guess is that it was an old, OLD thing in the OLD Eden where when you got hit you lost emotes instead. However if you purchased a buff it seems it would protect your emotes from a hit, which explains the shield animation being sliced and also a shield animation when equipping elder hairs.

Hi guys. I read some shields as you talking. More or less its an old feature of sky in which i managed to play with. The old system was that you level up spirit up to maximum level by fortifying them going to eden. So once you return to the world and lets say you attacked by krill, in some point the krills will just kicked you unharmed until the shields protecting the certain spirits didnt yet consumed. You can view some eden journey of the old sky light awaits to compare it from todays appearance. If someone had it these days, its hacked items or sky files undeleted that causes some bugs to appear

I mean, in my opinion, the Elder hairs should grant different effects when worn. And in order to make them balanced, all will protect you from losing your light ONCE, until you enter a new area at least. For example, Valley is about racing right? Make there be a speed boost when wearing it, and so on. Golden Wasteland elder hair is probably going to be the most OP because all I can think of it on top of its regular protection is an extra layer of protection before the shield cracks.

Burning the darkness is important, but it's not the whole quest. When you finish burning the plants, a circle should appear that you can use to meditate, and that will take you to the next part of the quest.

The new death animation in Eden doesn't sit well with me. The old animation looked like you were still trying to go forward even in your last moments, while the new animation looks like you just break emotionally at the end. It sets up a very different feeling, and I don't think I like it.

Well in response to challenge. Newer player + other types of players have probably never done fire trial or maybe even most of the trials but got help from people to do them or simply Didn't do them. Why can the same not be true for this seasons "darkness events" not only that. You do NOT need to complete seasonal quests im order to buy the adventure pas and get all of the cosmetics and the quests will always be there for players who maybe are slower a learning or cannot bare to do the quests at the time they release.

You can see Eden erupting from any of the realms, but the shards will only land in one realm (which changes daily). The Starlight Desert is a good place to view the eruption from, even if there are no shards there.

I recommend viewing from the top of the lamplighter's post (where the child is), because you can watch Eden and the moon at the same time.

Oddly enough... I like the crawl feature it made eden way more interesting.

I just did an eden run with 2 strangers, and I felt way more engaged. I was drawn to help people because they were literally helpless. We stuck together the whole time and stuck out our necks to save each other. I havent felt that much emotion towards eden or had as good of eden interactions like that in a long time because people always rush off and leave people behind
