if it is stuck almost indefinitely I would recommend restarting your device. some apps like photos consume a ton of RAM and regular restarts will do your phone good - could also be a memory issue overall. if you have less then 3GB free it will be a pain

This should work. The invite gives you access to be able to download the app, meaning you've taken up a spot. Just make sure you're on the right google account

beta updates come a lot more often than live updates, so it might just be that sky overall is taxing on your device to update but it is less noticeable for live. I would think it is due to just either needing to download a lot of content, or your phone already being busy with other actions. RAM is highly correlated to its capabilities, which is why closing background apps and restarting it regularly is a good way to make sure it runs smoothly. it’s a mini-computer after all

to use the qr codes, paste link in your browser and scroll up a bit - there should be a button that says “open in sky beta”. it doesn’t show up if you just paste the link, and clicking qr will usually bring you to live. but there is no need to scan the qr as an image most times

there’s no crossover between live and beta at all. switch beta is nonexistent due to nintendo’s own regulations, so you will have to play beta exclusively on mobile. there’s no issue with using the same nintendo account as a way to link your progress, since the two apps are never affected by each other

nintendo is there as just another way to ensure your progress isn’t lost. beta and live can never affect each other, and you will have no iap merge issues at all either since there is no payment method for beta. the only linking method that is defunct in beta is facebook. otherwise use the linking methods the same as u would in live

#beta-feedback is where you write specific feedback about things we are testing. Example, you don't like the ult gifts, you can send some constructive criticism there. Bugs go into the bug report channels

It’s not really about whether or not it’s worth it.. it’s a way of testing pre-live content so that TGC can make it as good as they can. It’s about bug hunting, bug reporting and feedback. Progress wipes are random and usually only happen if beta testers exploit a bug etc, but it could happen at any moment for any reason. Don’t get too attached to your items in beta - as far as we know they’re quite rare but that’s subject to change

If you see the 🚫 icon, do not buy it. It's a null item and you'll lose your currency

if an item is marked as a “null item” (icon is the same as the “no pendant” in the closet, for a visual) then it may not be safe to buy using seasonal hearts for instance - since owning those nodes doesn’t mean u get the item later (and seasonal hearts are limited). ults also get shuffled a loooooot

I learned this the hard way back during Assembly testing, it was the first time the ult tree had been changed since I started testing in Sanctuary. So I would have not been able to get the Assembly ult cape and I was really sad about it, but TGC luckily compensated us just that once, since they understood it was the first time they’d done that during testing.

You can use “the same account” in the sense Beta and Live and completely different apps. For example, I have my Game Center (iOS) linked in both Live and Beta but they’re completely different accounts and don’t affect each other- so you will be starting a new account either way basically! Remember to link it so you don’t lose your Beta progress on accident

Just like Live, while you can have multiple accounts that’s not encouraged as it may lead to issues (and it goes without saying that using multiple accounts for exploits etc. is a against the TOS in either version)

Beta is generally the same as live, with the exception seasonal candles have a higher collection rate so you can stock them up for end-of-season conversion. We also are graced with a few currency bugs, every now and then

Just remember that currency (as well as items, progress, etc) may be reset in beta when needed! Staff warned testers a candle wipe would happen at some point, for example

in my experience the isle spirits will not appear until you approach the spirit gate in front of the temple ramp - it will put you into a cutscene and pointing candlemaker will spawn. just did isle on a capeless account ans this is how it went

“Every tester” has the founder’s cape because you can get it without a cost, just like any other IAP. The actual beta cape isn’t available for anyone since global launch, Beta or Live

graphics are constantly tweaked and changed - I know atm anti-aliasing for android is disabled since it puts too much strain on older devices. they make efforts to enable it and improve graphics overall and performance even on a battery level will usually be different for beta/live

You can get like 25 seasonal candles per day on beta, because there's 8 seasonal candles on all of the realms and those give you more wax than live

Well, Abyss is a season. Events happen alongside seasons! You can find the general schedule for both in #news- most events are reoccurring, but who knows if we might get a new one eventually. In beta we just test what we’re given
