vets should be frustrated that’s understandable. but I think it is pretty much the balance point tgc is at doing their best. They are not bringing the ult back meanwhile they are providing something new but somehow similar look to whom missed the original owl hair. I heard crowds of android players in cn server asking for action from tgc and that should be loads of pressure. Not to mention their request is reasonable in some way as they did not intended to miss the past season but there simply wasn’t any server allow them to play(before the enchantment)! I just wish tgc knows I see how they struggled and this thing they come up with works for me

Yeah, they wanted to be special, and wanted people to know they are veterans. This is a nice solution for the majority of players to enjoy what they cannot obtain, and veterans from Rhythm get their OG ult gift proving their uniqueness. I believe it’s a win-win situation

I'm actually glad that tgc actually found a way to get the ult items cosmetics back in newer seasons and with different style but doesnt change the major style in it from past season, so the other players could experience it in new season than having the old items from past season have a comeback (despite many players will get mad that they worked hard for it).

i really think that bringing owl hair back as a slightly modified cosmetic was probably the absolute best thing TGC could have done in a situation where players have been buying and selling owl hair accounts. No matter how you feel about exclusivity or "creativity," TGC couldn't let that go on, and they couldn't ban or hunt down everyone doing it. The best they could do is disincentivize this behavior. And honestly, the fact that vets pedestalize and flex the owl hair is the reason they had to do this in the first place! That's where the demand is coming from.

TGC’s goal with returning ultimates was to try and find a middle ground that would make the most amount of people happy, both old players with these items and newer players who don’t have them, I think this is one of the better possible ways they could have handled this.

yeah, i feel like the hair should have been a quest tree item similar to sword pants except staying permanently, that would make it more fair

I will admit, I think it was kind of silly to have the owl hair be an ult! It would solve the problem of people wanting owl hair on a permanent basis if it was a regular spirit, so it would come back as ts periodically.

I understand newer players feeling this way but it's not just them. so many people act as if sky has a hierarchy and veterans are on top, including some of the vets themselves.

Maybe, but this is more of a human by-product of this kind design.
