you can only access the ios beta with an invite because its through testflight, you cant choose games to get beta for without an invite (or code, for sky its an invite) for testflight

android beta is different, as you can access it through play store immediately if its beta is open

I have Sky’s Discord server notifications set to “only @ mentions”: will I still receive any beta invites since those are sent by role mention? (I have given myself the appropriate role.) I ask because I don’t want to turn on all notifications for this giant server, yet I still worry that because it’s a role mention rather than to me directly, the “only @ mentions” setting will suppress a beta invite if I get one.

If there are more trials or a new gameplay feature in the next season they might plan to open up the next wave of beta sooner for a longer testing period, thats my guess anyway

This time it’s pointless to camp out for the invite links... the beta access wipe happened so early with 20 days left of the season in live... I bet the waves will come anytime within the next 10 or more days... just add the updates ping role and hope for the best haha

Gentle reminder not to camp for invite waves! The access wipe will take a lot of time and effort, so invites likely won't come out on the same day. Last time was chaos already, but now with the holidays everyone should be on their best behavior. Keep in mind that the devs are people too, and if you're looking for a way to spend your vacation, it's likely they are as well

please don't be camping and watching the dev's online status. it comes off as creepy. they're people too with lives outside work so just sign up for a ping role and make sure "mentions" notification option is turned on so you get pinged when the invites come out

Just be patient. The invite waves last for 2-ish days for all timezones to make it! So I'm sure you can get in eventually.

prophecy beta moths got a nice intro to "welcome to beta everything is broken" though that was kinda fun for the older beta testers who were coming up with all kinds of crazy stunts to try before crashing

floor is lava was where the season began and when the season begin cutscene played, when the questgiver walked into the portal, the game crashed. this cutscene only began if you touched the ground (and if you played up to valley) though so we called it floor is lava.

Google has become really unreliable with updates though, now I go straight to the beta tab of my apps and games and tap on Sky.
Usually I have to open the app's Play Store page more than once to make the update button appear

If you linked your account to game center, you can transfer your progress. by going to Account in the main menu to begin the recovery process. Otherwise you'll need to contact CS to recover/transfer your progress.

the "off access" is just a time where no one could update if new updates were sent. by joining again with invites, you would just get the ability to update again
the game wont move :) even if you miss a session for example and comeback in the next one months later your game data will still be there!
