Sometimes it can take too long to change something. Things like lanterns in ark cave and fire by the prophesy entrance cilff are added as the result of feedback. Designs might change too. But afterall beta feedback its a very luxurious features for regular gamers. I am grateful for this feature. And try to play with what I can get. Again you can try to thing of capes like that

The new capes are inspired by the pre-global launch capes, but are intentionally simplified for performance reasons. The team doesn't want them to be fanciful. They are a symbol of being kind to others and building long term friendships.

Feedback is definitely checked and listened to. Sometimes things take a long time in coming (it can be surprising how something that may sound simple is actually pretty intensive to implement or make). But feedback is always appreciated, as long as people are polite and constructive

@ Mickey- Sometimes it can really depend on how intensive the changes would be! And also how much of a workload the team has at the time. Butterfly cape, manta jumpsuit, and shell cape got changed in sanctuary because they both happened to hit that sweet spot of not work-intensive changes and having the time available to work on them

I think a lot of it for me (and maybe others, I can't say) is that we have really beautiful and uniquely shaped/designed capes like manta, butterfly, the enchantment layered capes, bat, fluffy gratitude, and spider from IAP and seasons, and when it comes to basegame, a cape that would require so much hard work and dedication to friendship is so simple

I ofc understand the intent is to be a celebration of friendship, but I can see why there'd be some disappointment when we have other beautiful capes like the aforementioned

Honestly it's perfectly OK to not like the new capes.If most of the players don't like it and doesn't say anything, it's likely that we are just gonna be stuck with capes that we don't really like. It's completely valid. Just make sure you are polite about it in feed back, because no one wants to read rude crits, and being nice always gets you a better chance of being heard. Also let's not speculate about development process or the devs themselves and focus on the content.

And the yellow shiny deluxe cape looks good in vault in my opinion. The edges has a brown reflection instead of the silver there.

I don’t really go on beta to try to collect capes because I’m perfectly fine with having a few
But above the few I got from season of sanctuary, are 3 capes. What are those 3? I haven’t unlocked them, nor can I preview them because every time I attempt to do so, the game crashes. Like I kept testing it to make sure it was the cape that made the game crash and I’m certain it is.

There is pressure. If you want the seasonal ultimates you have no choice but to do the same quests every day that you’ve been doing forever. Unless you want to spend $100 or so to get it. Then the traveling spirits come every two weeks and force you to keep a stock of ascended candles for them. Eden + wing runs together takes several hours. This isn’t just stuff you’d earn naturally by just chilling out and hanging with friends. You need to devote serious time to the game. I’m over it.

Although I collected all cosmetics in sky, I’ve never thought to quit it. I put my money and time in it and it won’t be easy for me to just click the delete button. Plus I knew friends there who I want to keep in touch with them.

I know many people say "don't buy it if you don't like it" and i bet, when they have Nothing to do, they'll themselves buy everything.
And if they want to introduce new stuff, at least price it so that it's accessible. It takes me around a month or more to get 50 hearts for black cape. You can only imagine how many months or years It'll take to buy 730 hearts worth of stuff. It's like a never ending loop/trap

Oh, this definitely. I would say it usually takes me 10 mins to do the quests each day and I am often only half paying attention. It is a recurring feedback, so I don't know why they haven't changed the quests. They are asking for new prompts to the med spots, but I would love it if they also brought back some of the old quests from beta. (Check Tara's videos for some ideas.)

you can choose whether or not you want them.

I play Sky since day one of its global release (18th of July of 2019) and I completed all constellations this year in may. After that I only enter the game to record videos and do livestreams (I have the biggest Brazilian YT channel dedicated to Sky content). I barely enter the game I love the most. I only enter 20 min a day to complete daily quests. This new items in beta made me farm again but it’s boring you know. We need weekly quests like: complete 20 daily quests; collect 110 winged lights, do Éden, hug 30 friends, farm 80 candles 🕯, and so on....

Also, i kind of feel like i wish ts was never introduced. Like for sure people complained previously, but they surely wouldve stopped after some months. Cause now, for new poeple, even if they finish Constellations, they will still feel pressure of ts and still farm. I have a YT channel dedicated to Sky (I’m Brazilian) with 13k subscribers. I started making Sky videos last year during Lightseekers season and when Sky was released to Android this year I had barely 1k subscribers. So I can say that my channel grew 12k subscribers because of the release of Sky to Android. repeating seasons can be interesting though, take halloween for example. people didnt exactly badger TGC about the return of past year halloween cape because we were guaranteed to get it every halloween.

They’re trying to separate themselves from typical F2P games but then use the same predatory practices like time pressure.

Well, acc to me the Season repeat idea is a hit and miss.
It's very good for new players since they can get Cosmetics without worrying. but not so good for veterans, Seasons go for almost 2.5 to 3 months. Veterans will have nothing to do in that time, so most of them will just quit.

it would be awesome if there was great endgame content and if players who had finished seasons would get regular candles instead of seasonals. seasons for new players and more candles for veterans

But that minimizes the work and time people put into earning them. Now you just sell them for a price. Bring seasons back, let everyone earn the items the same way. And since you can gift seasonal passes to friends, there’s no classist issues with it.

The point here is that tgc cannot satisfy everyone's needs and how boring it gets depends on every individual. Sky could be the most interesting game in the world and still some people might think it's boring so a long term solution that satisfies everyone is to find

Yeah , i kind of agree that sky is a bit like other games.
I would also say, half of the playebase plays for Cosmetics.
As all of us saw when the ts system changed , many people said that they'll quit since they can't get Cosmetics and that really saddens me. Like Cosmetics matter but friends matter 19399399 times more than that.
But that day, i saw and realised that the game runs on the idea of getting Cosmetics, and Cosmetics are what keep half of the people stuck with the game.
