Beta accounts has to be tied to the accounts used to join. Because access is tied to your respective iOS or google account, and not your device etc.

You can’t Kai, you’ll have to respectively tie them to the appropriate account. It would be two different accounts as well

I encountered more graphics glitching, two cases in Prairie and one at Home. Should I put them all in the same bug report (because I literally just entered the area and it was broken) or make them separate?

Well, the only major things I've noticed about Android 11 is that Sky is glitchy and I can't download an update for another game I play, so I wouldn't say you're missing much
I mean, maybe it isn't the update, but the timing is pretty uncanny if so

When you make a slight mistake in your bug report but it's so long, you don't want to have to redo the entire thing and you tell Skybot to send it anyways

Holla, my experience with air trial was that the game now always puts you in closed wing mode when you fall off of stuff after 1-2 seconds, which causes you to drop straight downwards -- you'll need to be prepared to toggle flight modes yourself if you want some extra lateral distance after a leap

Can confirm what spearmonkey said. You really only go into open wing mode if you hit a gust of wind. Otherwise, you're always in closed wing mode. It gives a bit of extra control when landing, but its a little surprising at first

hey all, I know this is not beta-related, but you all are probably the most experienced sky players out there. Does anyone know if it is possible to reach the sun above prairie mountain? My friend and I have been spiraling above the mountain (we accidentally broke the rocket) for about 20 minutes now and were wondering if the sun is just a mirage, or reachable, like the moon in eden? Thoughts?

i think the trick with some of the checkpoints in the air trial is to try going "back around" with the wind if you're stuck in a position where you're moving directly against the wind to try lighting it

Ive been Thinking about the new ts system.. Whats the point now that everything that was good has already come back and people have left the game ... Damage is done ...not sure how long i will be playing for as its not the same anymore .... And all the money spent is starting to feel like its for nothing .... If people choose to be honest to them self or not but it is good to be unique and it was nice to have stuff others didnt .. Life is like this and yes in all honesty i liked it like that-it dont make me a nasty person ... Soon everyone will have these type of feelings when your money spent becomes zero .. The only people kept happy in the end are the free players ...

Tbh I'm still confused exactly what the difference really is since the prices haven't actually changed in beta yet either. I think in practice nothing really changed so we're just giving feedback on an idea. I'm only missing 2 TS on live myself though so it won't affect me in the long run either way (boogie and dismiss)

aaah slowmode but Anita I really don't think the AP lock is trying to keep people from getting the TS, they really came at this from an angle of finding a solution to the endless grinding cycle. About the ts system. I do like the existence of it. it gives more goals for players who started later but already finished regular constellations. Also maybe it's just me but without ts i would feel like certain cosmetics eventually would dissapear as the player base keeps changing. Wouldn't it be such a waste? Eg. You as an older player have a lightseeker cape u never use, but someone absolutely loves it and would wear it all the time. But they couldn't if ts doesn't exist at all. So what I want to say is I'm happy cosmetics are coming back time to time.

yeah, that was my original understanding too: that the prices were made more expensive as a way of offsetting the ability to get what were originally paid items; from that perspective as a free player, the given reasoning for the proposed TS system doesn't make much sense to me at all, so i'd only have negative feedback for it under that premise

if it was a catchup mechanic for only belonging items, then TS pool could be limited to just belonging. but i suppose players would clamour for other seasons to be added to the pool anyway, so that doesnt change the outcome that much

Yeah but that was a typo they made. The travelers from gratitude need the preorder not belonging.
Considering how many times this has randomly come up already i felt the need to ask the question i did and i don’t see anything wrong with it. The new system that may or may not be implemented should’ve been thought of before releasing the first ts in the first place. That way the items that were pass exclusive would remain and nobody could complain about it since it was something new.

well it was released in beta not live we often get unfinished products here to test and give feedback on. there's a few beta only features right now that live won't see for a long time if ever like the translation and shepherd systems. so it wasn't really released without thinking. we are part of the thought process

Every player is important to tgc whether they purchase iaps or not spend anything on the game. In my honest opinion i don’t understand why someone would complain about not looking as cool considering they don’t have to spend money on this game to be able to enjoy it but then again it’s just me.
Sky is a considerably cheaper game than most and the devs are actually considerate enough to bring back old stuff so the newer players can have the opportunity when they don’t have to. Once again I do think the timing is really bad for the ap lock on ts but there’s nothing actually approved yet and we’re still in the process of testing it and giving feedback when the channel is properly working again

The original goal was to have just the single Catch Up Pack, but realized there may be people who bought one of the items last year but not the other. We don't have dynamic pricing built into our IAP system, so we'd either have to prevent players from buying the pack if they already owned one item (like the restriction on the Gratitude Fur Cape Pack, when it was available) or they'd have to pay full price for the pack to get the missing item and that's not something we want to even give players the option to do.

We want to overhaul the IAP system, it's pretty simplified and does not have a lot of robust features. We truly underestimated what player purchase habits and requests would be.

Something I think that creates a bit of cognitive dissonance for players is when we do things and questions about like, "why did you do x and not y? why is this so simple, couldn't you make it more fun or interesting?" and those are very loaded questions with a lot to unpack in relation to how we go from concept to implementation and arrive at the final result.

Part of it is that they start with the (incorrect) assumption that our intent is to have something be underwhelming or that we're ruining fun or want players to have a bad time and assume the worst from us. This is an overgeneralization of themes I see in questions fairly frequently, so please take this with a grain of salt.

Getting back to the iteration process.
As we refine ideas and start implementing them, we are met with challenges and restrictions with the game engine. Sometimes concepts that look cool as a sketch/idea make for terrible gameplay and has to be scrapped or changed to be fun. It has to make sense in the world of Sky, so a cool idea may not fit the story or lore when we go back and double check things.

For engine constraints, if we have time and it makes sense, we'll build new functionality into the game. Sometimes it's a fully polished feature, and sometimes it's hacky magic to get things working.

An example of things that sound cool but don't translate well into gameplay: We had a "sarcastic" expression at one point in time.
Turns out trying to convey sarcasm without facial expressions (hello masks!) is pretty tricky. So it was scrapped.

Most of the time, I don’t bother to light anyone at all — it takes too long to. The only reason why I bother to light anyone nowadays is if I’m trying to find a certain friend: they don’t appear properly if your constellations are full of uncollected light. Other then that, I have no reason to light anybody.

Reset was after global launch, gratitude ran for 2 weeks after reset so, it’s just that lightseekers had a very short beta run, so it’s possible for someone to have the small umbrella, but to have the ultimate one you either need to be a dev(ktjn’s pin in screenshots or have hacked )

@stark sundial I know but I’m probably not the only person asking for this feature. It’s been a long time since launch by now, and I don’t see any progress or plans for it. Good feedback always have some arguments for why it’s necessary. I know but it feels pointless if nothing is ever done.
