My questions are about the content. Do you start as a moth and have to work your way up as in live? Do you have free access to any cosmetics at all straight away? The only items that are permanently in the store until you buy them are currently the founder's cape and the beginner's pack. There's no candle packs in beta, you gotta work for those candles ♪(´▽｀)

Maybe there were less player back then, but not everyone is eager to play beta. Beta spoils most of the stuff in a buggy unfinished way. If you like beautiful new content with the least amount of bug and like surprises beta will dissapoint for sure.

In beta sometimes you will have to report like 10 different bugs at once, which means you go through the lengthy process many times sometimes in a day. When there’s a new beta update it will bring a bunch of bugs usually and it is quite a lot of work to play and find them all sometimes. Beta is not for free early content it’s for reporting bugs so the live game can run smoothly.

I remember the chaos from the last beta invite wave.
They had to shut down this chat and put a long slow mode time on the other chats. I remember people were spamming the blue cape emoji and reacting to messages in floods.
I remember so many people getting beta for the first time and being so hyped about it after. Might have just been me though, haha. I remember staying up late despite the encouragement from others to sleep just to get the invite. They ran out so fast.
I remember people going into the regular sky discussion, spamming the blue cape again. It was honestly quite annoying at the time, though I forgave the people moments after.

I'm one of those that stays and beta is HECKIN EMPTY once everyone sees all the stuff they wanted to see does force you to get creative with multiplayer doors and I found some neat OOBs because of it though (I can get that wing light above the prairie elevator solo now) but this is why they wipe access before new seasons now because there weren't enough active testers

The harsh reality is that it is literally impossible for us at TGC to accommodate every player that wishes to be a part of beta. There are tens of millions of players and, for iOS, less than 10,000 beta slots. There will always be people who miss out and don't get in and be disappointed.

That being said, at the end of the day, it's a video game, it's not worth getting angry about, losing sleep, hurting yourself, and risking your health for.

Things on beta aren't that glamorous, it's broken, frustrating and genuinely hard to maintain playing two versions of the same game. of the 10-20 thousand people that get in during an invite wave, maybe 0.03% of those players actually stick around after the first week.

I just remember my first live report took over 20 min to fill out. I am okay with that for live, but if I have to do over 3hrs of reports daily, I can't do that. However, I am fine with spending 30-45 minutes daily on reports. Some bugs are fun some bugs are painful, like eden crashes and getting stuck in the eden death loop. So people weren't able to play for days. This is just something that happens to be a part of the beta experience.

Sometimes currency gets so bugged there has to be a reset. So bye bye candles. A portion of people used their seasonal hearts too early on an ult that wasn't ready and didn't get it. They weren't entitled to it but eventually the fix came out and they got the handpan. But as beta players, we should all be ready to deal with these sorts of things and not get upset.

@MorueBarlou# 5063 as a software dev myself I will proudly like to say there is NO software in the world where there is not atleast 30% bugs which make to live, and maintaining a software requires weekly, if not every 2 day's, deployment. Sometimes some requirements which were deployed clash unexpectedly and give another bug, bringing a brand new thing in the view which we didn't know was possible earlier.
So my point is even if game maintenance was done for 100 years never expect a bug free experience..deva try but there is always something new in coding

Google always has issues during beta invite waves. It can take them at least 24h to get it solved. It can take them several days. Some people have been waiting for months since the last wave. Unfortunately we don’t have solutions outside of what’s said in the pins here, #beta-faq and #beta-signup-info

Yes, for those who are trying to camp to get invites I promise there will be one for your time zone! This invite happened at 3 AM in my time zone so I completely missed it. Same thing happened last time invites were sent out, I didn’t get in until the last wave!

Bottom line, they’ll release a wave for your time zone soon, just be patient and have invites ping on, don’t sacrifice your mental or physical wellbeing for a game

@mild panther the point of bug reporting the same thing multiple times isnt bad, it notifies devs that this is a high priority bug that majority of the playerbase experience. if very little people report it, it'll be deemed a low-priority bug, which will hurt the game instead if the bug was serious

Even if a bug is known, there are hundreds and hundreds of devices Sky is compatible on. Your bug report might make the huge difference in figuring out a bug, please report bugs even if they are known or reported already

Actually reporting the same bug on different devices is really helpful for the dev team. Some bugs are sometimes only on certain devices and if many people report a bug on a certain device then they can narrow down the problem. 🥳

This has been said before, but there are thousands of fan-based servers out there and tens of thousands of private groups if you just wanna hang out, talk, or freak out and be excited together with others waiting for beta. This channel has slowmode for a reason, most importantly to prevent spam but also to pass important information about the invites to others, even if it’s telling them to read the #beta-faq. It’s not the best channel for discussion at the moment to prevent server instability for all, and it’s perfectly fine for you to leave and talk somewhere else

Sorry my english is not really good but i have a quesion..
So I was a tester for Sanctuary, and I already clicked the invite link of the new wave, even tried to uninstall and reinstall the beta. (Already linked my google play account)
So I just assume that I'm in the beta again.
Once i get in and recovered my account, I can play again.
But I got really curious when I saw a new tester already wearing the next season pendant. But I can't find where to get that too.
Any ideas?

But since Google already thinks I'm a tester, I can't renew my beta testing licence because it thinks I'm already a tester. people up late, go to sleep. there will be invites until the say invites are completely closed. so don't worry too much about it, your health is more important than beta. and for those having Google problems, those can take a LONG time to wait. you can try downloading it from Google play store OR Google play games, and also try the instructions in #beta-faq but otherwise we can't do much. Good luck to those who are trying for beta!
