Shouldn't the argument be that the TGC USES umbrella logic to make some of the lantern-intended functions fail, and finally castrate the functions in order to save trouble.

I recently notice the cape wind animation for the red and dark greenish cape from seasonal of belonging have lost there wind animations like when you fly around they are just stiff no wind animation the white cape does have the animation though from same seasonal
@exotic gorge As far as I know that is the actual design of the cape. Much like it has its own material that's why it doesn't flap a lot when you glide and it tends to be harder to make folds compared to other capes.

I was somewhat disappointed by the lantern at first due to the pricing and features, but I still saw potential in it. After the removal of candle lighting, I can not see the price being justified (and I have spent my fair share on Sky as it is). I agree with the majority of users who find it to be on the high end of pricing, especially if you split the funds evenly. An item that had use, but no longer holds its original use is now merely a cosmetic for $10. To those who may argue that it is helpful for seeing in the dark I say this: Sky has only a few areas that are difficult to see in. However, after a few focused runs through those areas, you are able to memorize the layout and navigate without any additional light sources. The functionality of the lantern is reduced to a minimal level, and we are left with but a single question: why would anyone pay for this?

They definitely take community feedback into account and care for us. I’ve seen it. They have a much bigger picture though to worry about. Yes it would be nice if the lantern could have more features but they need to balance it with game speed, game bug reduction, power imbalance and much more.

Swingset used to be an IAP too and then was turned into spells. At the end of the day, people who do have the financial capability can buy the lantern if they wish.

It's more money to keeping Sky f2p, paying TGC staff and keeping the servers up.

To be honest the logic of a flame not recharging you/burning things bugs me more than anything else it just doesn't make sense in the game, while I do understand it makes sense for technical reasons

I'm pretty disappointed it no longer lights candles. But if it's causing a lot of techncial trouble, then I can understand why it was taken out. Sighh me and a friend were having a lot of fun flying with the lantern out and dive bombing candles/cakes
