Fixing bugs is usually a matter of triage. Just because something hasn't been immediately fixed doesn't mean we won't ever fix it. Bugs need to be reliably reproduced in order to begin developing a solution.
For example, the crashing issues in forest, wasteland, and eden on certain android devices is a graphics rendering issue, but we can't reliably reproduce the issue using the same devices it's been reported to occur on so we're still working on it nearly 2 months later.
It's also important to verify fixing an issue doesn't cause more or worse issues. The optimizations we did for low end devices in one of the recent patches ended up causing problems for high end devices. The latest patch fixed some of the problem, but not entirely and still needs more work in a future patch.
Sometimes fixed bugs make a return, such as the pixellation in screenshots and the activation of seasonal spirit quests despite being disabled in the code.

Ok I get that and I remember you said similar things before, but another example, the won't-give-light red candles in Forest river area (the one with crabs caves) were not fixed until recently.
Maybe this was not marked as high priority. Just sometimes I'll concern that devs probably won't consider a bug is affecting daily game experience as I do. I mean not just me, many others would also bring the bug up and say it's annoying. Not suggesting this or that bug ought to be fixed asap, but wondering what TGC would focus on most.

Lower priority things usually get fixed when we have time or get fixed while fixing/working on other things.
Small thought experiment:
Let's say there's 10,000 bugs in the game (there's actually more than that, but for simplicity's sake, I'll use round numbers) and it takes an hour for the team to fix each one (ignore the very real possibility that it may take dozens or hundreds of hours to fix a single bug)
So we have 10,000 hours worth of bugs.
break it down into an 8 hour day: 1250 days
5 day work week: 250 weeks
52 weeks in a year: 4.8 years
so that's 4.8 years worth of bugs. Throw in the need to continue to create regular updates on top of that, plus however many NEW bugs may be introduced with said new content and you can see how easily things spiral out of control. And that's operating under a perfect circumstance where a bug can, in fact, be fixed.

If you're interested in game dev, I highly recommend reading things put out by actual developers and not game critics. GDC talks on youtube, askagamedev blog, follow developers on social media that talk about their work.
I say this as someone who was on the player side of things until very recently, but I love games and the industry and the process of bringing games to life and I did years of studying so I could better understand why things were the way they were until I eventually made the transition.

With the addition of the market in the forgotten ark, is it more profitable to buy spells from the seasonal spirits or should I just let my seasonal candles convert to regular candles..because I don't really want all of the cosmetics.

resize potion is 10 hearts, which would amount to 30 candles people need to spend to gift hearts to you. the higher price is justified as we can specifically buy spells we want. if you buy a spell from one of the enchantment spirits, it is cheaper but the spell is random. I guess it would depend on whether you’re ok with randomness or if you’re willing to wait longer.

You got beta cape by playing the beta (not limited live) before iOS global release in July 2019. You had to finish Valley to be eligible to receive one and have your beta account connected to the same [at that time] Apple ID/Game Center as your live would be tied to.

The reason they had to be connected to the same account was so the cape could be received in both apps by the correct person.
It would have been difficult for TGC to double check Live players’ eligibility otherwise.

Lots of optimization happened in the game during development that were detrimental to graphics/looks for better performance, as well as design changes to areas compared to back then. If you mean the prairie hub, remember that it’s also huge now- it’s the same area all the way past the clouds, with no loading zones

While images of crashes, error messages, the recent bugged UI icons aren't really fitting for the channel, for example

Tables and other chat tools like campfires and swings were modified so you only collide with them when you choose to sit if the owner of said chat tool is a shadow (unlit). I've not done a lot of testing with them since the update, but when the owner of it is lit you can collide with the chat tool (I think lol). IIRC, this change was made in response to reports about players getting trolled/griefed with these items. (Such as blocking a portal, the constellation plate, or closet. Or using them to push other players around.) ehehe, that's my understanding of it anyways

I left feedback too. really really not liking this change. In live I run and deepcall to charge strangers at key points like where those dark plants are in forest cavern. Everyone’s wedges are depleted when they reach there and quite often people return the favour. It’s one of my favourite things about forest runs.
Later I need to thoroughly test deepcall while being dragged by someone. In live the ‘let go’ icon was so close to sky kids heads/bodies that my friends were letting go by accident while attempting to charge me

@low crow, there was a bug in sky beta where the heart icon was replaced with a hair icon. we don't know what the hair icon is for. the bug was fixed in the most recent beta update.

This is how I’m seeing it...
People are going to Eden and amassing ascended candles when they don’t need them. They’re actively doing that knowing there’s no purpose.
Hearts are passive. I can’t stop people from sending me hearts. I can’t stop people from lighting my stars unless I want a permanent blinking red light.
Once you finish everything, the hearts come in even if you never leave Home. How can they add a shop and offer nothing for hearts?

I don’t even care about resize potions. I’ve never used one. I just don’t see the sense in making multiple potions cost ascended candles (that require a lot of time to amass) and offer nothing for hearts

the main thing the game wants of us is to just spend quality time with friends. you can do that even ignoring all the currencies.

If that were the case, they wouldn’t keep adding endless ways to spend currency that you can’t earn without investing hours of your time
Once you have everything, there’s nothing left to spend hearts on. But they’re the only currency you can earn without even leaving the home constellation

I still really hope for endgame cosmetics from the elders in eden (not just hairs) that can be a heart sink in the long run (some 1000-2000 hearts, to unlock over YEARS)

App, there's no reason to force yourself to buy potions if you don't enjoy it. if you still enjoy playing for the sake of spending time with friends in-game, then i hope you keep doing that. otherwise, then like you said it might be best to take a break, for as long as you need.

It takes 2~2.5 hours for me, without any holdups to farm all the light for the day
I do agree that’s a lot of time..
If it could be made so that it takes 1 hour to get the majority of light daily.. that would be better

the difference is whether you force yourself to rack up the candles as fast as possible (not fun for me), or just play at your own pace, and when you eventually end up with enough candles, unlock the item and enjoy it
