I've completed the game a few months back but still am not even close to 999 hearts. Do they ever change prices in Beta often before live launch? Thanks all. The gratitude cape wasn’t bought via candles. It’s been a while so idk what was pass exclusive anymore but pretty sure this was one. It might have costed a few hearts? But the currency will be different as xynth said bc it’s open for free.

I had an idea for a season that could be tested in Beta. the cosmetics would be the coolest things to exist (in my humble opinion) so like an Egyptian season? and masks could be like the animal gods and hairs would be like the big things they wore and then the capes would all be cool and the season pendant could be like an ankh or something

The Whale Call Spirit Shop is sometimes used as a placeholder location where we test items on beta that may or may not be related to Seasonal content. It will not have any impact on completing a zone's Constellation nor impede your ability to achieve the Hidden Forest Ultimate Gift in the Live version of the game.
The invisible cape has been moved to a new location and is no longer on the Hidden Forest constellation. The price is not a placeholder. It's not meant to be something every player gets. It's not an Ultimate Ultimate gift for completing every constellation. It is meant to be a deliberately difficult item for those that really want to be capeless.
** The price is not a placeholder. ** It's meant to be a silly item and prohibitively expensive, which is why it costs 999 Hearts. For the time being, it exists only in Beta as we develop long term goal features, but may eventually go to Live.

The spirit shop location for the invisible cape is a placeholder, it will not impact your ability to complete the Hidden Forest constellation or receive its Ultimate Gift. The price is not a placeholder. It's not meant to be something every player gets. It's not an Ultimate Ultimate gift for completing every constellation. It is meant to be a deliberately difficult item for those that really want to be capeless.

For example, during Lightseekers we had the umbrellas in more easily obtainable locations so that we could get the umbrellas in players' hands sooner so that we could make sure the umbrella was working correctly (spoilers, it wasn't). Hopefully that helps explain why/how these things happen?

You don't have to complete the whole game but you do have to play up to a certain point to see AP content, it's kind of a precautionary measure so that people don't buy a pass before they understand the game mechanics or had enough exposure to ensure that it's something they want to spend money on.

once you see the constellation, there should be the seasonal icon in the bottom left corner, tap on that and it should open up the seasonal guide which will show the pass prices and if you tap that it'll take you to the IAP store.

- Make sure you're on a stable internet connection.
- Turn your device completely on and off (not just a restart).
if that doesn't solve it:
4a. make sure your account is linked to google or Game Center.
4b.You may need to do a full uninstall/reinstall and power off/on cycle. - If it persists, let me know and I'll flag it up to QA to investigate.
Download issues is something we're trying to fix and while some fixes are working for many players, some aren't.

There was a mix of issues. players who already received the expression were starting the spirit quest and abandoning them once they realized they didn't want to re-do the quest. People activating them thinking the little light gathered counted toward their candle count (it didn't) and intentionally abandoning them. Players repeating them and complaining about not getting anything from it other than wasted time or reporting it as a bug.
that's why it was turned off is so we can work on better communication/clarification.
We made the change due to player feedback, but it created more problems than it solved and that is why we're working on making it a better experience for everyone.

It genuinely hurts when players assume we do something or revert a change out of malice or trying to ruin players' fun. We have a standard for the player experience, new and veteran, that we try to adhere to and if something doesn't meet that standard, we aim to fix it. However, it may take some time to reach the desired effect.

well, since you're here i assume you're ok with spoilers
a new system of Traveller spirits was introduced (that appear on weekends), these are spirits of past seasons, for example the Isle Gratitude spirit returned and offered their items for regular candles but like, a lot of candles. For example the mask itself is 50 candles (2 ascended candles to unlock that part of the tree) Though, we don't know if they'll change till then

We have no way to figure out order of spirits either this time around which is kind of nice in a way. I might try and do the hoarding thing and not actually get anything until I can get it all in one massive splurge. 😂

Was juggle the same in Winter? Was no one bothered by all 4 levels being the same?

I love the juggle so much I’m not fussed that it’s not a massive difference between upgrades. The balls gain sparkles and then they get bigger. I doubt that will change now.

Yes. Juggle is the same in live as in beta
I don’t think they will fiddle too much with the emotes because they already revamped the cosmetics imo
