I was so worried with one person i was helping in eden. My game crashed and I couldn’t rejoin them. I thought they were going to think I abandoned them there and they were going to block me

Maybe they just want to remove inactive friends from their list and since we cant do that without blocking, thats what happens

What is the consequence to both players if blocking is used. I won’t use it even though I would like a way to remove inactive friends from my over-crowded constellations. It’s just that blocking seems so drastic and something I would only choose to do if a player was being awful for some reason.

Yes, if the gift isn’t claimed you can’t sent another. So it’s not necessary due to being blocked that you can’t send a gift.

I think beta rewards are at TGC disgretion only, there’s no point demanding or expecting items for participating in beta. We are here to help them out by reporting as many bugs as possible before it launches to live. Just because we’re helping them doesn’t mean we should gain something in return. I agree with above, just being able to participate in beta is reward enough

Another benefit to us is that we see seasonal content earlier than we might have to help decide what to put effort toward in live.

So idk if this was ever figured out, but 1-2 days ago i saw some discussion about the mysterious ranking of how friendly you are. I have two beta accounts, so i can test multiple devices, and i noticed that my main account (which has given away a LOT of candles and hearts over the last 1.5 years) has an odd icon above their head.

So I went to that account and checked the ranking, and it shows a full bar in yellow, with the word "Shepherd" on it, and below it says "Guide new players through the world of Sky"

#

So apparently when you have maxed out your friendliness ranking, you appear as a Guide to other players, with an icon to show them that you can probably help them through stuff

The beta has felt more empty than when it started. I think some people just joined to see the new content and not actually beta test by looking for bugs, which is a shame because there are still bugs to find.

I know it’s probably low priority but I hope they can address the flute volume before launch. I didn’t feel like I should report it before I got it myself but after getting it today it is unusable due to how quiet it is

The panpipes doesn’t sound as good as I thought but it sounds good for songs that are played by air instruments ,like the song of storms (ocarina)

I do think that some number of people though didn’t join the beta to test at all and just wanted to play the new content early. Not calling anyone out in particular (I have no idea about anyone’s motivations anyway) but I do think that if we are in the beta that we should act like beta testers and the work is not done yet because there are still issues to find.

When I went to the Wasteland today none of the darkness plants were burnable, the spirit to relive wasn’t there and no players were in the zone. Random stuff like that is harder to find since it doesn’t happen to everyone so I think it’s still useful for those who want to test to look for issues

the more that can confirm the same issues happen, the more likely it is a bug

So this was cool.
Last night, I should have been in bed but decided I wanted to go for those candles at the top of the vault. There was only one other person there. We worked together to get the elevator going on each floor. But I didn’t know what would happen at the spirit’s area. I got there and used up all my light climbing/flying up. Got stuck halfway and just waited there and honked a bit. She came and we got up the rest of the way. 🙂

A strange thing happened this morning in the vault. I went into the first level to begin the quest and lit the candles outside the main room. Then I went to enter the main room and began to fly up and to the left where the group of candles are high up on the shelf. But before I could even begin this action my character just started flying high into the sky and didn’t stop until she reached the level where the spirit that needs to be freed for the quest is located. I think that was the 3rd level if my memory is correct. So I skipped a couple of levels, was not controlling my character in any way and never used up any wing power getting there. Not sure what that was all about but I thought I would mention that here in case someone else experiences it.

@long moon Mentioning in the non-beta channels that there’s a poster that says this and that it’s in TGC land would be a spoiler. But there have been a number of articles and etc. where different TGC people have given that interpretation of life stages, so that basic info wouldn’t be a spoiler. Still, always good practice to keep beta stuff in the beta channels ^^

@ancient wing The build number is the specific "edition" of a version. You can have multiple builds in each version. For example, in 0.6.0 there have been six different builds so far; this one is 140626, and the previous one was 140562, and the one before that 140508, etc. Content and features can change between builds, which is why it's important to make clear, especially right after a new build has been pushed.

Great question! That's the new "mysterious friendliness rating" that was described in recent patch notes.

You can see your own by going to a friend constellation screen, and tapping in the upper right. You'll see a badge icon there.

||seasonal spirit for forest is in that stage with the crab caves (not in those caves tho), go to the end of that whole area and up the right (where the chibi mask spirit ends) follow that path up and back a little past the tree with a big portion missing from it||
