I appreciate your insight as well. I have no hard feelings towards the devs or anyone here. My stance is clear: I’ll praise the devs for something truly helpful. For instance, I still say Season of Shattering was the best meaningful addition to the game because of how it made a change to collection of shards.

I’ll also continue to call what I feel are unhelpful changes that have/haven’t made into the game yet.

I'm not sure where you got the information that the plushy from carnival was ever a mount, but in beta testing it never has been! It has been a huggable prop from when it arrived in testing for us

As for accessing game assets through illegitimate means, that's against server rules to discuss and it's best we leave that topic here. Game assets that aren't provided to players from tgc through beta or live access shouldn't be our concern because they're obviously just works in progress.

Regarding the wip beta friendship tree, I am confident that 32 and 64 "candle" cost that you see are likely placeholder numbers. Because these are default integers in coding.

That is why back during Lightmending beta test, the ult cape was wrongly priced at 32 seasonal hearts, it is a default integer.

So it is absolutely not what tgc intends for the upper level tree pricings.

That's why we've been iterating that what you see in beta are wip

Looking at the side profile of the (other) hair, I think it's supposed to loosely look like an animal? The bangs make me think of the mouth parts of a deep sea sea cucumber (say that 5 times fast lol).

Some of them may simply want to protect their content from being stolen and misused by anyone else so they choose how the watermark looks and how transparent they are etc. So it's best to respect their decisions

It's optional, but at the end of the day the watermark not only reminds folks that things are work in progress, but also that it's legitimate beta content. Testers are sharing things voluntarily because we want to, if you don't enjoy the watermark that's unfortunate, but it is what it is

One MAJOR reason tho is that there are people who repost our content like specifically cropping to the new content. When people see it who generally has no idea how beta works or what beta is. I think this is more on TGC to provide an unobtrusive, but readable watermark to players wishing to post beta screenshots and abide by the rule. I don’t think players should have to futz with the watermark or be expected to do fancy Photoshop editing and I never meant any criticism towards the players about their use of the watermark! I would say, how about keep the watermark as is, and take pictures of new items that are with dark colour palettes against bright backgrounds (such as office or Prairie, whichever you feel fit) so that the contrast will help in getting the items easier to see. The opposite would go with brightly coloured cosmetic items, against dark forest closet background

I understand that sparse watermarks would make it easier for anyone to steal and crop them and do minimal editing to remove the watermarks as these are not as conspicuous. Bubba did the watermark that way bc they probably wanted to cover the background that shows the interior of the new season area

But please don't be pressured with how you place the watermarks! It's your own content

I know that Bubbah's editing has a mildly different purpose, but I'm asking that the watermark(s) maybe don't obscure so much of the item . After all, the point of showing beta content is for people to see the items, and I think it'd be easier for more folks if they didn't overlap so heavily :-}

To me, they feel too disconnected with the bangs (particularly the shape and direction of the bangs vs the direction of the rest of the hair) and either it's too long or the angle is too high

Since I already got the Ocean foam cape in Live I don't have any issue personally, still sucks it got removed.

I JUST THOUGHT of maybe using colourful plastic layered as fish scales for a cape .. For the dress, maybe add more flare with more seafoam and seaglass jewelry built in as bracelets/necklaces, or even do a separate seaglass + bead necklace to wear on other outfits!!

Im not sure what other materials they might be using I've only seen glass/plastic so far, but there is much to do with those materials alone
