exactly what you said! the name being remembrance makes me think it'll be about reflecting on the memories with the loved ones (placing the chimes in the shared space which the spirit remembers their friend) and eventually growing and healing from the sorrow and grief, and learning to live on. there's a lot of quests for this season, i think we're in for a good season of healing and comfort

Hello, I’m a new beta tester
Today I finished fourth aurora seasonal quest in beta. Idk how to do quest 5. I want to get aurora wings but it said make more progress. Can anyone help me ?

Also, the concert updates to increasing the number of people in a single server could be used for a lot of things! Maybe they made it easier now for server merges to happen? Or maybe I’m the future we could have mini games that require more than 8 people in a server? Idk

My current stand on the season is
I don't hate it but i don't entirely enjoy it either. the emotes are funny, stories are sad (good thing), the cosmetics are nice, but the location and activities are pretty meh.
I think the location of the season needs the most work because so far nothing about it is really, enticing or has me enjoying the place, in any kind of sense.
The activities with decorating an area for the spirits is nice, but it really only requires the one specific item relevant to them and you're done. I Think it should add more requirements or bring some more enjoyment out of doing it.

Also I think those bigger people who were antagonistic in the spirits memories were either corrupt soldiers when no elders we around anymore or bandits who decided to be the new governs of whatever settlements there were. Bereft Veteran seemed to have been in a time where being a soldier was a great honour and seems to have elders present still

i am glad that tgc is broadening their horizons with storytelling and revealing more lore within the universe. i know their approach to telling sky's story is more subtle and vague so players can form their own thoughts, usually through murals and memories, but these last few seasons have solidified some lore previously unmentioned.

specifically, i'm talking about the war that wracked the kingdom. the evidence has always been there of course, wasteland is literally a battlefield, but season of aurora and season of remembrance are touching upon it in less of a vague way. there was a war and people died and the kingdom suffered a huge loss. aurora showed us the battle, and remembrance is showing us the wounds, still there and still prominent, but healing over time. not to mention, peace doesn't seem to be totally unanimous what with those two spirits with the weapons in the remembrance memories.

If you have been reading lores for the game, there has been a great war between the Creatures of Light and The Ancestors. Their conflict is not a reflection of real life events. It's only a fiction and a product of creative storytelling.

It features soldiers fighting and a woman sneaking around OTHER SPIRITS, not dark creatures.
They're hiding spirits in the WALLS.

EVERYTHING about this is a direct reference to ww2. We've seen spirits fight wars before. In season of aurora too. But they have their own symbolism and imagery. They have dark dragons as their enemy.

This is very obviously, a stark tonal shift.

Tbh I like the design of the parasol, only the big minus is the reskined ver of pioneer's parasol.

I dislike it at the 1st place for the concept of reskin and become IAP bcz later in the future, the ts that carries free prop like that will get a lower chance to come. Like pleaful parent for example, it has been 2 years and there is still no rerun. Additionally with the reskinned guitar ver makes the chance to come lower more bcz I do think TGC fears ppl will go choose for the IGC one instead of IAP.

I don’t think they are intentionally peddling specific references to real life historical events, outside the ones inside the game’s own universe of course. of course, leaving everything to interpretation makes any viewpoint viable - but the very point of that is that all viewpoints should then be considered since we don’t have a “true” meaning etc.

I think not supporting doesn't mean they hate it. Just like if someone decide they don't support certain lifestyle, such as being vegetarian, doesn't mean they hate it.

To be fair, tgc was probably working really hard on season of aroura so their hands were pretty tied... plus they have been looking for ways to bring back the owl hair from rhythm for ages now, performance was a great way to do so imo, esp since only ios users could get it (and they had android and switch in the mix too). Shattering, despite having story issues, has great cosmetics as well to bring back the manta cape. Ngl I hope we see a regular manta cape reskinned as a celestial one! It's nice having tgc find ways to start implementing this

I know a lot of players have wanted and preferred more cozy seasons as well, ans we did have a lot, but I know a lot of people also wanted lore seasons too so it is also nice to see some lore for us lore heathens as well. I do hope they alternate seasons between cozy and lore in the future though. That way we have soft, lore, soft, etc

I agree. The refugee concept is really nice but it lacks a lot depth to it, especially the seasonal quests. Maybe that's because this is just the first round of testing, and more storylines will be given as we progress but for now its just so plain

if they really wanted to keep the happy home decorator... have us use the items to set up instances for these spirits to meet eachother and cope with one another over their experiences and heal. The tea brewer and Pleading child would be perfect as they could bond over tea

I feel like the whiplash between the spirit relieve memories and seasonal quests is kind of big, like you can easily do all spirits and learn their emotional stories the first day and then you get one interior design quest every two weeks

I think the value of the abyss quests was in teaching us how to use the swimming mechanic, and the experience of doing them - while for these quests they clearly want to emphasise healing the spirits and listening to their stories, but the execution isn't there yet. imo a season doesn't really need a story if it's fun enough to perform the tasks and the environment offered has its own tidbits to investigate and relate to the rest of the kingdom. but you can't have neither story nor a set of engaging tasks hoping for some more beefy cutscene segments in the future builds

I really do hope we get to see some cut scene improvements later on. I'll admit I am being a bit too harsh with my own dissapointments from things that made it all the way to live from beta testing in the past... but they still have a lot of time to make adjustments as well. I am very eager to see what changes do come personally, and I think a great quest later on would be making the season area space look more homey and make it a place for the spirits to genuinely relax and feel safe/comfy. Tgc has been making their spirits move around their season areas and bring them to live more in things like performance... maybe they can reimplement this again

Guys since the very first time i got in beta i havent been able to test some iaps (like bat cape or the fortune pack) during its testing time, when i open the shop or talk to the spirits it says ive already collected everything when in reality i havent, is this fixable?is anyone else getting this too?

As someone who isnt in beta, i really like the concept of this season, im relatively new to sky, and im sad i missed the other seasons where the quests were just collecting things for the spirits, like in assembly. I like the cozy straightforward-ness of sky, but i also like the lore behind the new season of seeing the spirits sort of take refuge in vault during the war. Just my feelings about it, i hope the ultimates will be good for this season tho :)
