Just saw other players in Journey gliding through the sand and sitting on the snow bridge while in credits cutscene.

It is true:
The light that flies in the sky are other players that have completed a run.
And during the cutscene, you can see other players running around in some camera angles.

Not sure how it works on iOS but it’s controls on ps4 can only be done on ps4 I believe

Uses the tilt axis thing. So you tilt the remote in the direction you wanna go. Very unique experience

The iOS version probably won’t have that control scheme since tilting your phone around wouldn’t be good to look at

No need to cry about flower. Flower was a PS game and you can imagine how the iOS version will be like. Believe me tilting the device to go around is not the type of smooth experience that Flower was supposed to provide. Try out the PC or PS version of Flower instead it works much smoother and bigger screen =better experience 🌻

Especially with the Krills

In Journey, War Machines patrol the underground area (which is somewhat green just like the Golden Wasteland) and use a blue light to look around. Once you're in the light, it turns red and that's it. Unlike in Sky, you can't hide from it and it catches you immediately.

But in Sky, the Krills are definitely more brutal than War Machines, but at least you have time to hide from them when you're spotted.

Also with War Machines, they just tear off a few pieces of your scarf, while with Krills, they take ALL OF YOUR STARS.

Another parallel is that the Valley of Triumph is similar to the Sunken City in Journey, with the sliding and racing, and fast-paced music

About the krill and war machines I think war machines are more brutal... they literally tear off half of your scarf while krill only yeets 1-6 wings, you can’t hide from the war machines so you’re screwed once it spots you. But then krills can ‘kill’ you while you can go through journey scarfless just fine

Technically you can play with a specific person, cause i just did with one of my sky friend who played Journey for a long time. It took several attempts tho to sync on ios, and wenever one of us dissapeared it was a pain to merge again, but it’s possible. It helps a ton if you can chat somewhere so you can share your locations.

Yup. Journey is intended to be played with random anonymous players, but if you know how the game decides to pair two players up, you can use it to trick it into pairing you with your friend.
The game connects two players that are on the same level at the same time and have the same world changing events activated (like having same parts of the bridge rebuilt on the broken bridge level, for example). You also need to be close, but not too close (the game tries to connect you with someone when they are far enough for you not to notice when they materialize in the world, but also when the aren't too far away that you wouldn't notice their existence at all).
It often takes a couple of tries to connect to a specific person, and as the person above me said, you should talk to your friend so you can sync up nicely. Oftentimes it connects you to someone else, so you need to know what your friend looks like (robe colour, cloak tier), and setting up a "password" (example, three small and one big chirps) will help you recognize each other.

It IS a multiplayer game but finding someone u know in the real world or off of journey is really hard. The call symbols are different to each player so coming up with a “beep code” would probably help to identify one of ur friends :3

The game saves when you load the next level. Since you never finished the Underground and never reached the level afterwards, it loaded the last save file it had, which was at the beginning of Underground level.

In any case, if you ever want to quit the game after you finish a level, definitely go into the next level and then quit. Otherwise you'll have to redo the previous level.

But it's a big portion, so if your scarf was shorter you may even lose all of it.

It's technically not that big of a deal if you lose parts of it, but the next level may be significantly harder to complete if you have a very short scarf.

If you start a new game you might see that your cloak looks a bit different, that's the progress that carries over multiple playthroughs. (you'll gain more embroidery layers depending on how many glyph walls you found and a white cloak once you find every glowing symbol).

I think there should be a season devoted to the other tgc games have two journeys spirts a flower spirt and a flow spirit. journey capes a flower cape that is clear with different colored petals there numbers increasing as you go down and a long flowing hairstyle with flower petals sticking out or a flower crown that you can wear with any hair stile like the headphones or the birthday hat the two journey charters will have journey cloaks and have a the journey mask the flow spirit would have a semi transparent cape that would be a bright radiant blue and become a midnight blue with small stars some times appearing and there is a flow creature that comes on your back that will defend you against crabs and distract krill. I think Journey is worth it if you have the required hardware/software. Journey is more emotional than Sky because I may never meet the person who joined me in my journey and stayed till the end but in Sky I know that I will met my friends again. The soundtrack of Journey makes me even more emotional,with headphones on the soundtrack makes me just sit and stare at the screen listening to the music

My Android does have a processing power equal to iPhone 8,but software limitations cannot be overcome just like that. A lot of hardware and software limitations come in such cases. It's a limitation which can only be overcome by buying new hardware/software. If you wish to play Journey try out the pc or the ps version instead.

Journey does save progress, but in a different way than sky. Ex if I exit at the chapter select, I'll have to go through the tutorial bit again. You'll have to enter/be in a level for it to save iirc

@vocal elk flower is yet another classic. It uses the PlayStation 4’s x axis controls though so it’s controls are very odd and takes getting used too

X axis requires no button pressing. Just tilting the remote around in your hand. Is really fun and stunningly beautiful

I recorded a little video of Flower on iOS to show the controls! I think it’s very useful information.

You can also use the tilting controls where you tilt your device to steer (actually that’s the default controls) and press anywhere on the screen to move forward.

I think the game can be a little nauseating, especially if you move like me, but still Flower is so, so beautiful

Longtime Journey player, as in, played and known it for SEVEN YEARS, aka SINCE ITS FIRST RELEASE ON PS3,

It is a FANTASTIC GAME and is basically Sky before Sky. I 100% recommend it if you have the pocket change to spare for it. Beautiful music, more emotions to be thrown around, absolutely fantastic, and I LOVE some of the creature designs (monster designer speaking, haha).

If you’re considering getting it, I rate it a total 5/5 (one of the like, four games I give that rating lmao) because even if I’ve played it countless times I still come back to it every few months for nostalgia and every single time it’s fantastic and just as wonderful as I remember it. Last time I played it was last year on Christmas Eve!

Amazing visuals, wonderful lore to delve into, and for players familiar with Sky, it’s very similar and easier to pick up.

Best part is when I first played Sky, it was the most INCREDIBLE experience ever because I felt like I was playing Journey again for the very first time, I still had that feeling of wonder and amazement, a childish joy inside me from nostalgia mixed with fresh, new sensations. I’m fairly sure Sky vets or players familiar with Sky (but not Journey) could get the same feelings I got when playing Sky for the first time!

To a limited degree. If you 100% all symbols (basically Journey’s WL), you can unlock a white and gold cloak that not only has additional wing boosts, but ALSO automatically recharges the instant you touch the ground!!
I often view the white cloak not as a fancy skin, but a mentor badge or the mark of someone who’s experienced and able to help newer players.

I have decided to play journey after not playing it for many years. I never got past the guardians lol.
I love flow and I beat the entire game multiple times with my brother. Me and my brother realized depending on what the food looks like it would do different things so we called the squiggle line food fancies because it would make your creature look "fancier".
I got motion sickness while playing flower and it was kinda hard for me to do and my aunt got all the way to last level but we still havent beat it
