as written down in the wiki, you can press select/options for playstation, share/back/enter on pc to sit on ground
its with start/touchpad on ps and options/start/p on pc to activate screensaver which forces sitting if you're touching ground ish

It's literally like saying "the travel is the destination" (idk if that makes sense in English, in my mother tongue it does )
It's more scenic, no spirits or cosmetics to grind for, sky krills and crabs are very friendly compared to Journey's creature, no chat only communicate with how you walk and honk, no daily quests etc. Just enjoying the travel and scenery

There are gamers who play games because they don't want to deal with other people. Coping with other people makes then anxious. They have to keep thinking about the other person, trying to guess what they want, what they know how to do, what they've already done. This takes a lot of attention and means that they can't relax.
You may have met one of those people. They wanted solo gameplay without having to worry about those things. Had they wanted to meet other people, they'd have dressed up and gone outdoors.
You were just unlucky that the two of you didn't have the same thought about what you wanted to do. Try again.

Something that I loved about Journey is how they didn't take glitches out. One time some user showed me how to get into the off-screen of that second stage, and I also broke through on another one. That was so special to me that I took videos and love watching them (haven't shared on Facebook).

One of my favorite experiences in Journey, I happened to meet a player who took me on a tour of all the out of bounds areas. I had heard of these areas a couple years before that, but wanted to experience it with a companion rather than derping through alone. This person was an amazing tour guide. Seeing the sunken city (surfing/sunset area) OOB especially was just stunning, and it was even better to have another person to share that with.

Finished Journey last night for the first time, after 7 years of waiting.. incredible!
I managed to join up with my friend, we didn't progress further until we joined up at the sand dunes, we figured it out in about 15 minutes and then explored together. Our first run we managed to collect all the glyphs (the white scarf upgrades) we got our white capes on the first playthrough! 😆
If anyone needs help joining a friend, I can give you some tips we discovered.

Something my friend found online today was that if you've beat the game, you cant connect to a new player
he was having trouble connecting to me after I moved my save file, to see if I could delete my save
If anyone's trying to link with a friend and having problems, try moving the save file C:\Users"username"\Documents\Journey SAVE.bin (to make a backup) and whoever has completed the game, needs to start again. It should connect you now, just make sure its actually your friend. We used a call pattern

Anyone, I recently purchased Journey from the epic games store, but when I start it all I can hear is a high pitched ringing noise. I was/am really looking forward to playing this game, but I am unable to enjoy it in this state. Has anyone run into this issue before?
I even played the first couple minutes like walking on the first small hill and into the valley below. The ringing doesn't ever stop

@placid cosmos there are known issues with sound. one suggestion that seemed to work for some was to set sound playback in your system prefs to stereo instead of 5.1 surround

A big advantage of Parallels is not having to reboot your machine. You run it in its own window from your Mac desktop.
Just a funny sidenote, having switched recently from Mac back to Windows 10, I had to install some of the Bootcamp drivers to make Apple peripherals works with my PC.

As far as running games on Parallels, if the windows version of the game needs close to what your system offers from processor and memory, Boot Camp is much better. @tawny scroll @tawny scroll
Also, Boot Camp is free (though Windows is not), but if you use Parallels you need both Windows license and Parallels license.
I run games on my Mac in Boot Camp with great performance that run terrible in Mac OS or Windows via Parallels

@shrewd shadow I got windows 10 free (offer may have expired by now), but one reason it was free to mac bootcamp users was because there are no sound drivers 😂 i have a work around thanks to a friend’s help, and all works very well using a software program for ps4 controller and a USB headset and a software program for that, too. I am constantly amazed at the abundance of very good FREE software!

- Difficulty connecting with others 4. Still awesome to play because you have the freedom to adjust settings that can match the visual beauty of ps3

Guys, does anyone know, is this a bug only for me, or was the last update of the game a bit broken? I speak about Journey (version 1.38).
Music in many moments is not the same as it was before. Somewhere there are no certain musical instruments at certain points in the game. In the end, the music was generally the same repeated several times, until the captions. I reinstalled the game, but the problem did not disappear.. That's why I suggested that all these broken sounds was probably because of the last update of the game..
It would be great if the developers could correct this moment, because the immersion into the game disappears sometimes.

It’s a hard job to port a game, and an even harder one to satisfy fans of the original. I’m still disappointed in the way the sandfalls in the broken bridge level look, and the way the sound of the falls is almost absent. But knowing the world of software development, I hesitate to say it’s the team of developers I’m disappointed in. If they keep patching until it’s right, and taking community feedback to get it back to the game we know and love, I’ll forgive them of everything!

i wish i could have that feeling of playing/completing journey for the first time again. that was one of the most epic gaming moments ive had in my life. it reminds me of learning to ride a motorcycle for the first time and being afraid, just going around the block over and over until you slowly creep further and further out. it's those moments you have in life that you don't realize are special at that specific time, until you're able to look back on them and realize you'll never be able to have that exact feeling again.
i came to this discord specifically because of that game. frankly, i was kind of upset when i found out the game TGC has been working on was a mobile game. i have never been able to get into mobile games, it just doesn't seem like the right platform for me. but i want to give it a chance, since this developer already gave me such a memorable experience almost a decade ago. it's not a game it's an experience, and i love that. haven't watched a trailer, not paying attention to reviews, know basically nothing about it, but when it comes to android i will buy and go into this with an open mind.

The added dimensions to the visual and aural beauty and incredible open interpretation of the story are now enhanced with each and every traveling companion, the Journey Community, and the stream chat participants. PS3 is the original and while some people prefer the higher framerate on PS4, I still

A shame such a great and venerable title like Journey is knocking around on bargains and as a freebie. iOS would give it a new lease of life, and I'm sure even the thousands of people who own Journey already would spend $5-10 in a heartbeat to carry it around in their pocket. Look at Hyper Light Drifter or Stardew Valley.

I just replayed Journey since it’s been a while since I first played it all those years ago, and the parallels between that and Sky. Both amazing! Nowadays though, I don’t think too many play Journey on the PS4, so I didn’t get that magic of having someone else. But still great solo! Highly recommend if you’re thinking of getting it, whether it’s on PS or PC!

I'd be careful with PC journey
Annapurna, the company TGC asked to publish this port, really dropped the ball with it. There are so many sound and gameplay bugs they don't seem to care about fixing that could ruin your experience. Plus, the matchmaking system is broken as Hell-- you'll be very lucky if you see 1-2 people in multiple journeys. The unofficial journey discord is full of people experiencing this; some spent literal hours trying to connect with friends. I'd stick to the PS4 version if you can, because the PC port is a joke.

It’s a little different because there’s no currency and the multiplayer element is more simplistic, but that leaves more room for pure story

In essence, the story of Sky is the hero’s journey, same as Journey, but uses the other model (the one where the hero sets the world to rights, which you don’t do in journey, but you do in Sky in Eye of Eden)
