Mhm after mediating at the shrine u need to collect the crabby spirits. After that there is an animation and u are supposed to receive ac after all these processes. If u have done all these and u still didn’t get any ac, then u should report the bug.

Are you having trouble with the waiting game? Now that you're at the place, you can come home and collect the wax from squids while you wait. After a while, you'll see shard fragments at the wasteland portal door. That's when you can teleport to the area for the quest.!

Random tip I suggest a group of 4-7 people to come with you or just 2 like I had. Depends on how much winged light you have but tbh mark the server that you are in for the next time you come to the server most likely there will be less red rocks. And another tip is to distract then fly so then the crabs will try chase after you but miss most of the time!

It stays for 50 minutes from the time it lands, so yeah you can go at any point during those 50 minutes to complete it (although it can take you a while if you're by yourself, so you want to give yourself enough time to do it)

But they happen multiple times a day, so if you miss one you can try to catch the next one

One thing I’m left wondering is how much access players who miss the season will have to its content. But yes I feel the pain. My first first event was bugged too and no darkness was being burnt and I thought that was part of the event(oh silly me). I spent 30mins trying to burn glitched darkness before figuring it out lmao. I love this season because it has high rewards and high risks compared to the past seasons. Plus I'm not going to waste this opportunity to farm those sweet sweet ascended candles 😄

A couple questions about the timing of the eruptions. I know they start at xx:28 starting 1h28min after reset, but how long before that does the color of the sky change? And once you’ve helped clear the shard and relive the memory, can you help others clear another shard that day?

Yes, even though I already did the quest, I did manage to help other people later in clearing the shard again.
As for the color change, not sure, but I remember going around 2-3 mins before the shard fell and the sky was already red. So a few minutes before the shards fall the color change happens, but I dont know exactly how long

The events are much easier if you do them in groups of 4-5 since the crabs will get distracted by multiple players.

And make sure to recharge anyone in need and set up a few batteries at a safe distance and you're all set. Nothing to worry about.

How do you complete the quest?

What I've found is that if one person lures the crabs away from the plants the other person can burn them

Once you burn enough plants then a meditation spot will show up

I burned all the darkness around the shards and got AC from the golden egg thing but I went home and it didn’t complete the first node

That's risky though, of the decoy gets hit by multiple crabs he'll lose a lot of light. You can use memory candles as decoys instead. :)

If you tap the node it teleports you to the special area with buncha non-colored jelly fish

It's okay, usually after the event ends there's a blue shard at the centre which will teleport you to a spirit memory.

I have a theory about recharge props and shattering...the props seem not to work when placed close to dark plants /butterflies that come from dark plants. Like sort of near red shards, like entrance to the building where the first krill is, the front wall of battlefield, etc. What do you think?

With the pass, you can miss 17 days. Without the pass, you can miss 2 days if you want everything or 8 days if you don't mind skipping the two spell nodes at the tops of two of the trees

Preferrably, play with friends or other players. But if there’s no one in the map, you can use the candle memories that screams. I haven’t tested it much, but they seem to aggro crabs too

To actually complete the season and get the ultimate rewards. You need to buy the adventure pass.

The free things are in the vertical column while the branches of those columns marked by icon are Pass Locked. So you need a pass to complete the season 100%

You should have enough! Because in total you’ll need 386 candles and you can get 5 candles a day, which is 77.5 days, but there is likely going to be a week of double candles, so you should be fine!

They're not really hiding, use the warp function at the home quest giver. Those yellow and blue ghost spirits are the "spirits"

Exactly. As helpful as they can be, they’re more often than not a nuisance. Especially in wasteland when you’re trying to avoid being seen.
