After collecting all the crabs you're meant to head towards the shard 'spirit' in that same area and teleport to the black room

Yeah, once the event ends completely the season guide/diamond thing is supposed to appear and prompt you to meditate to complete the quest. If that didn't happen then maybe something bugged, you can try again in the next shard event

The shard events will be a daily thing, but they don't give seasonal candles. The stronger ones (red shards) give AC and the weaker ones will give regular candles

I have to say, I absolutely love this season so far. The utter chaos of skykids scrammbling to clear the shard and help each other out when they get beaned is super fun, and the aesthetics of the memories are gorgeous.

Ok, seasons chat. Just did some candle math and thought I'd share here. If I happened to miscalculate, correct me.

Seasonal candles required to complete the season are 386 (including the 4 seasonal hearts. Without hearts, 374)
The amount of seasonal candles you can collect with the season pass throughout the season is 456 (without SP, 380)
The spare seasonal candles you will have after the season if you collected the max amount every single day the season is active is 70 with seasonal pass. (Without, 6.)

If you don't have the SP and want to complete the season, good luck. Start planning what you want ahead of time. People with the SP have about 11 days they can skip.

Extra 30 candles from SP give you 5 extra days that you can skip.

I went there to help distract crabs, but then others that were helping their friends who got knocked out also deep called, they both ended up losing wls so I ran around to catch it for them

I wanted to put out chairs to tell them not to deep call as it attracts crab. BUT THEN THE CHAIR- The chair also got knocked out by crab!

that's probably something rare you only saw with the server error: those NPC sky kids should only appear for the opening cutscene, but i'm guessing the game eventually let you move while you were in prairie after the cutscene lagged out at the end

I’m really confused. I just went to the event and found the red shards. I was all alone and started burning. I kept seeing people losing light on the other side of the ship. So, I went over there and it looked like they were all getting hit by crabs, BUT there were no crabs! It was like they were fighting an invisible battle. I just loud called a bunch and caught a couple of lights for people. Then it said I had completed the challenge and gave me two ascended candles and a heart. What the heck just happened?

SOLO'ing the Season of Shattering Quests
It's not impossible just time consuming, here's some tips:

• Memory Candles as Bait
Other players, albeit in spirit, can still help you. Deep honks can distract the Red Crystal Crabs as well as simply moving around, Leave a memory candle of you running around and then standing to distract them, you will still need to be mindful where the crabs are charging towards but at least they won't be focusing on you!

• Keep. Jumping
Jumping out of the way and also towards the shards the quests leaves at the ending phase, you will need to practice jumping out of the way since there will be times you may need to just barely make it between the Red Crystals. Jump, Skip and Skedaddle.

• Dark Plant Shields
If you're lucky, the dark plants themselves can be used to stop the crabs from charging at you, you'll need to be in a specific spot and for the crab to be unable to go over the plant, this isn't as reliable but still good to know.

• Spirits are your friends
If you get knocked around a little too harshly, there's still a chance to save yourself and continue, the spirits-- at least Enchantment Guide-- are still able to relight you when standing next to them, the quest won't reset if you stay in the area, go somewhere safe to recharge

I wanna add on this. This will be very helpful if u go there alone and do the shard with strangers. But if u wanna do it in a quicker pace, and u do have at least a friend who has piggy unlocked with u, u can do with them. Ur friend on ur back has to pull out a white candle, which helps u to recharge almost instantly after this update. Whenever u are charged by crabs, ur friend recharge u instantly and u can focus on burning the plants. However, keep in mind that ur friend on ur back will take damage too, so if they were knocked by crabs, they can lose their light. Just remember to make a call when u see their light is fading.
