ive had it for months and i honestly havent rly used any of it. the only cosmetic i kind of like from it is link hair, but even then the grey ears look really weird most of the time

i own the asteroid cape and it was hella expensive mate. and i rarely use/wear it. i thought i would but i don't. only for rare special occasions. my only advice is, buy it if you're 100% sure you'd be using it. i wasn't sure when i got the cape, i was pressurised by the fact that it would never be returning again, and i regret it a lot. i could've bought better things with that money.

L Guys I’ve been thinking about quitting sky cus it’s just not fun for me anymore, candle running is SUCH a chore and I barely have friends that play. I literally dread opening up the game And that makes me sad because I love this game and I put so many hours into it, so it sucks. Plus the new seasons keep getting better and better and I don’t wanna miss out, but going on like this is hard. Anyway I just wanna hear some sort of opinion on this

Yeah ngl i occasionally take breaks and come back to it maybe a month or months later when its fun for me again. Id prolly do the same here. I just alternate between games I like and typically end up coming back to ones

Its specifically due to candle running that bores me, but when i come back after awhile i have a lot of motivation to do it again lol

Try just doing short CRs, i also get realy really bored of CRs quick so now i just do prairie + a geyser event. Usually gives me ~15 candles a day which is still a good amount but doesnt take too long

You know you can just not cr that’s what I do. But do the best for your mental health I didn’t play for a while between days and I feel refreshed after a while but it definitely burns you out

I sometimes get bad burnout, and will either take a small break from the game, go into looking for a group so I can guide others, or I recently started to stream which has also revitalized my interest in running around. (Though I also made a second account to be a "community" account and have taken a break from my personal one)

You can take some time off and only really do the seasons. Candle running is tedious (which tgc seems to have noticed with the mass amounts of wax from geyser/grandma/turtle/extras, as well as the apparent changes to AC with the next season) and it's mostly just promoting burnout. A thing you can do if you don't want to lose out on too many TSes is to just grab any geyser/granny/(once a day) turtle you can, as they don't take too much time to get to/finish, and give a decent amount of wax

As someone who does actually like grinding, I find candle running a pain too. Not just because you end up getting so little per candle touched when out of chevrons, but the daily hard cap along with that is just annoying

Lol I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t get burnt out on candle running. It’s relaxing to me, and almost like a daily ritual at this point. Although it did feel more tedious back when there were more traveling spirits in the pool that I’d never met. Now I feel much less pressure and only CR where I feel like going. I try to get through all 3 chevrons but don’t do so every day. Been playing BOTW lately so that’s cut into my time on Sky and is a nice change, though still a pretty grindy game in its own right.

i think the same :D and i would say, they are not supposed to be stressful by design. but if anything, game related or not, becomes stressful it is better to make a step back and see why you are feeling stressed in the first place

though 🙄 i have to admit prophecy trial release times were stressful times for the sky community, from my pov. but we managed and helped each other get through it

I was running vault with a friend of mine when their friend (who I didn’t friend) joined us. We got to lvl 2 of vault and there were already four of us in front of the door, but instead my friend’s friend chibi glitched inside

At this point we could just grab their hand and get dragged past the door, but there’s this one poor tall stranger 😔 it’s worst when it comes from your mutuals smhw, like you can’t really scold them or I’ll put my friend in an awkward position

FWIW I personally do CR on days I feel like it and don't do it on days I don't. As long as I don't try to buy stuff I know I won't use, I've never had an issue with candle budget

I have more candles than I can use these days and I consider it my "I can be lazy when I want" savings

I was a moth once too and remember when I had to grind a lot more than I do now to have enough candles to be able to afford everything a TS might offer, but I never found it all that stressful. When it got to the point where I felt like I might be playing too much, I’d dial it back and realize it’s ok not to get everything. I’m glad I did now, because I still have the return of several TSs to look forward to that I only partially completed. I’ll be kind of sad when the day comes that I have everything from every potential TS.

You can get close to 300 candles within two weeks yes, but that's only if you do so without spending any and getting close to or at least 20 candles daily, and not everyone can or wants to do that

for cape: if you cr an average of 17 candles a day, you should be able to afford it
for mask: if you cr an average of 14 candles a day, you should be able to just afford it.

I would recommend the cape, because it's a scant 11 candles more than the mask and it's (to me) more visually appealing. but again, it's up to you what you wanna get.

Pick and choose, the pants are 70 and the cape is like 65 or 75 iirc. You get like 20 or so a day (because hard cap) which is only around 80 candles

Even if you were to get 30 a day, you need like 140 for the pants, cape, spell

Honestly, I'm really thankful events return. They help put off a lot of stress as you can focus on the limited items and slowly work through to what you can save for later. I can tell vet me is already glad moth me bought the tassel, I really don't like headpieces in events because they're usually overpriced to heck in hearts. The only exception is Days of Sky, but they're extremely cheap (I think last year's was, what, 3 hearts?)
In basic, focus on what can't be gained in the future. Leave those rainbow capes to a time when I have the time for it

Personally I found it rather endearing. You just help out a troupe, and at the end of it that's still all you did. After only playing seasons during them from tlp onwards, my favorite is dreams (I just like the story, and I love all the spirits) and second is a bit of a toss between flight and performance. and the abyss ult cape is actually rlly nice i love the jewelry details on it

Don’t get me wrong, new mechanics are always welcome. But it was.. empty? I’d say the story wasn’t really that much.. nothing too tear jerking, and I didn’t have too much fun till the last quest. I also didn’t really like the cosmetics, I only really bought the AP for the ult cape. Abyss is unfortunately just not for me, and I really did not enjoy it as a season. The only plus is that it’s my first season where I bought all of the items simultaneously (you can probably find it with the right tags in the search bar)

Enchantment was very pretty, but like abyss, not for me. (The only cosmetic that isn’t an ult I can gladly push aside is the carpenter’s cape. It’s very pretty)

same, i rlly like the theme of enchantment since now we know there can be seasonal areas inside of other seasonal areas i’d love to have an expansion of enchantment or just another season that ties in with enchantment lore i’ve always imagined the enchantment crew as traveling merchants/sorcerers so i’d love to see working versions of the ark or like spirits that travel by caravan or something like that plus i’d love to see cosmetics that have the enchantment aesthetic but with more detail like some of the recent seasons

(also funnily enough boatswains cape is the one i almost never wear my skid is minimum height and it makes them look like they have no neck and it bothers me )

Personally I loved Abyss for that first area that you swim into. All the colours and underwater beauty just blew me away. I can understand the empty feel since above water is sand and grey skies. But the water scenery is always going to be a good memory.

I think what made people think Abyss was a disappointment, is that some folks were expecting a "vibrant, colorful, mermaid-esque" type of season, considering it's an underwater season. Can't blame them, tho I think Abyss looked great and a vikings theme exudes awesomeness.

And if I were to chime in my opinion, Abyss is most likely just the beginning, and we'll most likely gonna get, yet another underwater themed season. Who knows, maybe we'll get the "vibrant, colorful, mermaid-esque" typa season someday

I don't think it was a disappointment because of how it looked, it was just missing the heartfelt story and felt lacking because of it. During the season we didn't really learn anything about the crew aside from Canoneer, and all the quests were fetch quests that were done solo, without even seeing the outlines of the spirits looking for items too. If one of the others were at each point for the quests, then maybe the vibe would've been different.

The upcoming event is daunting for sure! Sometimes breaking it down by day helps a bit for me so I don't feel too overwhelmed:
If you are able to play daily and get 10 candles per day (can be done with daily realm + candle realm, and maybe a geyser/granny depending on day/realms) plus dailies, you should get just enough candles for the non-iap items for rainbow by the end of the event (around 280ish candles if you don't spend any on gift hearts or constellations).
Of course, not everyone has the time to play consistently, so just do the best you can! The event will come back

If you don't have energy/motivation for candle running, don't be afraid to go to #looking-for-group-live to see if anyone is Uber-ing. There's some great people there who understand the struggle of the candle grind

Colors are flipped, as well as postman pants being darker mainly, with yellowy/gold accents, while dancer has a little sort of skirt flaring out at the bottom of the tunic, and only has a tiny tiny bit of yellow. Postman also has little buttons on the chest, while dancer has a cloth wrapped around the waist

The only similarity they have is the fact that they're both majorly black/red really

A good estimate would be around ~4/5 seasons after the initial season. The first assembly spirit came around the first few weeks of performance, which is already lots of seasons past assembly (assembly, TLP, flight, abyss, performance)
We can only assume that more TLP spirits will return in the next season. Of course, everything is randomly picked, and after the initial season they are eligible to return. I could be proved wrong next week, but for now we can assume the next TLP spirit can return around the next season, maybe more.

PSA to anyone who follows beta chats or are in beta. Do not mention or heavily allude to beta things in any other chats than beta chat. Even saying "oh you're gonna love the new season" in response to something can be taken as a spoiler (this is directly referencing someone I saw some time ago)

Beta is something we're lucky to have, but if people keep failing to uphold the rules, remember that the rights can be revoked whenever. I can understand excitement over things in beta, I'm excited too, but that doesn't give one the right to mention it in channels where it's not allowed. Spoilers of any kind is something people like if they can decide to see or not, and taking that right from them is not ok.

Keep beta chatter to beta channels, and don't bring them to unrelated ones.
