I've actually taken to reliving LPP spirits for those unspecified dailies and it's been quite delightful to see them again. I never cared much for that season, though.

I like to change up my candle run routes. I usually do the entire realm that the dailies are in, and the realm with the candle cakes and then improvise after that. Today, once that was done, I headed to the wind paths and hit up all the seasonal areas that can be accessed from there, finishing up by doing the Trials.

When I was a moth and hadn't completed Eden I sort of knew what seasons were. Since it said that there were such-and-such days left, and after completing Valley the guide popped up by the door. (Dreams moth)

I joined right around Belonging. I picked up on seasons really quickly. I knew a fair amount about seasons before Eden

I will say that when they implemented the past season spirits that of I relived one and the others would disappear and I'd have to go home and teleport back to the area. Until I finished Eden again (had completed it at least 7 times by then, 1st time after update) till I could see them stabily.

Also I ran into Sanctuary with 3 wedges (got to 4 soon after thanks to all the WL) and completed all those missions, flying up to where the Wind tunnel is currently early because I misread the hint so there was no giant manta to ride.

I sometimes feel TGC forgets that friendships form voluntarily and after many sincere interactions, they're not decided upon out of necessity.

Personally I’m hyped. I loved Prophecy both for the new and challenging gameplay and the way in which it created natural opportunities for players to collaborate and bond without forcing them to, like with assembly. I’m hopeful that the new opportunities the next season offers are more along the lines of adversity that can be overcome individually but which becomes easier with collaboration than tasks that can only be completed in groups. I plan on avoiding beta channels and going into the season fresh.

I’ve missed a few days of seasonal candles due to being sick and am currently working on the Frantic Stagehand (it’ll take me two more days to buy the blessing before the mask & outfit) and have yet to start on the Storyteller Tree.

I’m seriously hoping they avoid the type of forced cooperation that was central to assembly. They hinted that the season will be leaning towards prophecy, and I hope that means, in part, that it will offer natural opportunities for cooperation without forcing them. I made more bonds with other players doing the trials than I did doing the scavenger hunts. In fact I don’t think I made one friendship as a result of doing an assembly quest, and I wasn’t motivated to repeat them just to help other people complete them.

Between the Performance Guide’s hair and the upcoming Trimph Handpan, it would appear that TGCs approach to bringing back past ults is to create slightly different versions of them and release them in a variety of ways. Gotta say it seems like a pretty fair compromise between players who want ults they missed and players who have old ults and want them to remain special.

They also added two new Ults this season and will presumably keep adding new Ults every subsequent season which are kinda by definition limited time and AP locked items. I can’t imagine they plan to bring back some version of every Ult eventually, but it looks like they are creating some new opportunities to get versions of popular ults, which is better than nothing for players who have their hearts set on those items. Personally I’d be fully content if they were just like sorry, no, if you miss an ult you miss it because I’m fine with others having things that I can’t have, though I’m also excited to get the owl hair so I can cosplay as the thoughtful director.

I don’t see this as anything that is intentional considering people paid for their in-app-purchase items legitimately. rather, I think it is a byproduct of how they’ve chosen to link iaps with payment method instead of the account they were bought on (which has a long history of causing issues with iap merging for parents who buy their children iaps for instance)

Don't know if you're an old enough player for it but we used to get dailies from the spirit in front of the portal gates instead of the home statue.
Actually it wasn't even that long ago... the change was just made a few seasons ago 🤔
But yes it was better when the spirit gave the quests and not the statue

For older players it was indeed more personal. The distance needed to be able to activate daily quests was confusing for many players during seasons when if you stood close you opened the guide tree when you stood far you opened the daily quest menu. I had no problem with that but TGC needed to change it based on new (and even not that new) players' data and feedbacks to make daily quests more in-your-face

which spirit does it mean on the quests and how do you even know which it is? i took a break from sky so i’m not wholly familiar with what the quests mean

The one for today is the Saluting Protector spirit in Wasteland, it's in the first krill area underneath some of the platforms on the left side

You can tell which spirit it is by the picture next to the text, although today it's a bit difficult to tell for some because the icon is similar to the other saluting spirit in Wasteland crab fields (shipwreck)
