From the chevrons to the light color change, it's all made to discourage candle running
Now I can't know if I picked up light from candles until I'm ~6 ft away from them, because of light colour deliberately chosen to make wax way less visible and candle running much less productive (again)

The Pink cape from the standard constellation is 40 hearts = 120 regular/white candles. The one from the seasonal spirit is 20 seasonal candles for that node only. Not to mention that spirit's tree seems to be cheaper, and earning seasonal candles in my opinion, is way easier than hearts

It all mostly goes down to whether you like the cosmetics or not. That one extra candle does give a teeny advantage which is to finish the season a little faster.

You can still buy some of the seasonal items from the seasonal constellation, or you can hoard them and wait for candle conversion at the end of the season

I am in love with this season after stumbling upon all the hidden lore in the cave paintings!

They seem to tell a story which (according to my interpretation) looks to be about them digging too deep (probably to get those crystals) and possibly releasing some sort of beast, which is why everything is in ruins (notice the claw marks on the tower!)

You buy season candles in the shop, you get 15 a pack.
Other way to get season candles is via daily quests, Season wax, and the extra candle given to AP havers (6 a day)

But that could also be showing beta

if you’ve seen beta footage there was a bug causing skykids to receive massive amounts of seasonal candles (in the hundreds of thousands even), but that is not something that can happen in live
