Unpopular opinion: I’m stoked that they eliminated menu glitches that allow us to avoid damage from Krills. There’s very little that’s dangerous in Sky, and menu glitches kinda allow us to avoid playing the game the way it was meant to be played. It’s a good thing that we’ll be forced to get crafty to avoid the Dark Dragons and besides, losing WL isn’t the worst thing in the world. It’s kinda fun looking for them while candle running. That being said, you’re not gonna see me burning the tree in graveyard without a huge crew of Skykids any time soon.

Yes, at the very least they shouldn’t be able to see you when you fly over their heads. Personally I haven’t had any trouble hiding from them behind walls or under the cover of pipes and bones. Hopefully the patch actually does prevent them from coming out of the ground as promised.

Oh man, I’m so bummed that the candle cake from the summit of the main Sanctuary Island moved to the floating island on the way in. I usually save that one for last and fly up in a spiral around the mountain to get to the summit and it was one of my favorite parts of candle running sanc.

This happened to me in the GW Graveyard, the Krill that passes by the ledge with the wl. It somehow noticed me and turned its head around to lock on, I wasn't flying over its head, I barely got off the ground.

I glide over the rock that's by the catapult thinking, "hey this should be safe".
...It still charged at me and clipped through the rock to hit me. I was behind the rock...

Yesterday, the same Krill scrunch in on itself (like some do when they get confused) and it flew off course! On its own! It got back on course after a second, but yeah, kinda scary.

Still as in I’ll still fly to Sanctuary Summit every time I CR in Sanc despite there being no longer being any candles up there.

I used to start with the summit and work my way down. Now my preferred route is to start at the floating island, fly down into the cave with the big tree, get all the wax in the connected caves and the polluted beach, then start working my way up to the waterfalls, down the the jellyfish caves, and then up towards the bell tower and finally the summit.

I hear you, and while I wasn’t here back when you could take damage from bonks, personally I’m glad they made that change. It’s very difficult to play the game without bonking into things, and I’m totally fine with Sky not being very difficult most of the time, and I’m not worried about realism in a game where we spend our days flying around with magic capes powered by fallen stars . But since the krills are really the only serious enemy in the game, IMO it should follow that they should actually pose some danger to our Skykids.

I was a moth back then and while it was very tricky, I preferred that over the krills. I always found it kinda fun to try to "avoiding impacts in fear of losing a little recharge" instead of the whole avoiding "impact with krills to avoid an entire winglight" XD

Try walking while keeping the screen at aerial view (look at the ground don't look forward). It kinda decreases the lag for me.
Avoid sanc tho it has too much that it crashes

Don't run immediately while in vault. Wait for the game to load or use the return shrine (if your checkpoint in vault). See if it works
(I usually crash once or twice and then all is good)

I have noticed, when the flickering screen is bad, crash/es will follow.
I tried entering Vault more than 5 times with "normal" view and keep crashing. So I tried going in in "Bird's Eye" View and I managed to collect 3SC Nodes on Vault 1st Floor.
I'm not sure if there's any correlation for that but it's worth a shot.
