I would suggest putting it in an area that a lot of people visit (like home). Having lots of friends and a bit of luck also helps. Also I would highly suggest not putting the boat above interactive objects like dark plants because its kind of annoying for other passing players. Other than that, good luck!

Air trial is definitely a challenge, but luckily it's not mandatory to complete. It's the kind of thing that people who really want the challenge can revel in and people who don't want to bother with it don't have to--after all, there are plenty of other star kids in all the other levels

You have to complete the challenge to move on to the next trial with the prophet, so it is mandatory

i had to stop playing the trial

A weird thing happend just now. I was completing the trial of air for the third time, and for the first time, I made it to the Air Spirit shrine platform by way of the 3 wind boosts instead of the shortcut. Only I just touched the platform before sliding off, but instead of going back to the checkpoint just before the first wind booster, I went straight to the statue and it lit me up as if I had knelt before it. I should be stoked that a glitch actually worked in my favor, instead I feel cheated.
