If you just want to go straight to the cape, recommended around 100 candles saved up. 2 ascended candles. And a few hearts to buy the emote upgrades if they are in the main branch of the spirit tree. I suggest having at least 10 hearts.

Possibly. I'd suggest you try and farm every bit of wax in all realms everyday just to be safe.
