Try going through the sunny forest. Right outside the exit of it is one of the mantas stuck in a plant. Also bring people with you (I'd recommend at least 3 or 4) if necessary. This lessens the chances of a server merge

In all honesty, the "save a manta" quest is one of the more annoying ones to do because it's hard to get it done cuz either there's no manta available that need rescuing, or you don't have enough energy to do it yourself... (And the one near cry-guys cave, is in water so if you are a shorter height, it's not possible because short skykids can't swim and hold a candle. stickerUmm

Are you sure? That seems like that'd be really bad. And also really easy to prove since there's only one thing you could've spent them on ... do you have screenshots of (A) your seasonal heart balance and (B) your completed seasonal spirits? If so, definitely report this is a bug!

Today’s new spirit unlock shows a boulder but nothing happens when I go there. It’s the only one that could possibly be in the cutscene. Is it bugged?

You're supposed to light some candles located on the rock which make a map mural appear, try looking for some while candles maybe?
