(4th floor of vault) Once you find this island, the rest of the candles will be easy. Look for the isle constellation, then go a little to the left of it and fly up.
Candle 1: Should be easy to find after the previous screenshot. It’s like a metre away
Candle 2: Once you get candle 1, go forward, fly upwards, then turn right.
Candle 3: From candle 2, do a 180° turn and fly forward. (In all of these, I will have the previous candle in the background of the photo for reference)
Candle 4: From candle 3 just keep flying up until you get to the top!

I think they would only give candles for compensation. I think with this recent bug with one of the spirits, it won’t warrant a compensation bc players only miss out on one candle. In the prior season the quest giver was completely gone so no one did quests for that day. That was big enough where people lost out on a days worth and so they compensated
Unless the quest giver goes MIA again we probs won’t get compensation for anything

for anyone doing the recharge a players light quest, an easy way to do it is to stand on the home constellation stone and wait for a friend to spawn in!
or have a friend fly straight up till their wings are depleted and then have them land next to you!

Quest 1: Pines said it all, basically. They just have to be not fully recharged. Done by long calling or standing near them until their light is completely filled
Quest 2: Light is in the butterfly fields or prairie
Quest 3: Darkness means the dark plants, easiest done is the bell towers or something like forest
Quest 4: Relive is in the butterfly fields, in the dome

Someone just showed me what seems to be a fool-proof way to get the recharge quest:
Take someone’s hand and let them lead as you fly together straight up. As they descend, you automatically recharge their cape and then get the quest completed. To do the same for them, you offer them your hand and fly straight up together

I'm thinking maybe the forest campfire will stay because it's really nice, though the ovals of cover will probably go after the season ends
The seasonal vault quest platforms are honestly really cool but without the spirit or the seasonal candles, the climb is uncomfortably barren
The platform at the end would make for a nice permanent addition to vault but it's so high up and doesn't provide enough light to really be worth the climb
If the structure would stay but the final platform instead had as much candle light as The valley elder temple, then it can live on as a nice challenge with good reward

The easiest way is just sit at the Home constellation stone, and players who spawn there will need to be recharged. I did that, walked away to do some other stuff, and came back and the quest was done.

observe the light for a while and see when it is closer to the ground or in a spot that is easier to reach, so you don't end up chasing it around
in both Prairie and Wasteland it flies through structures, so you basically just have to stand and wait there

All of them that have the event symbol are pass locked. If you have the pass, once you purchase the main nodes, the branches should be automatically unlocked for you to receive. If I’m not mistaken, it should work that way for all the seasonal emotes, not just most of them

Quest 1: Usually you don’t even need to open the door for it to work for some reason. Two player doors are found in the ice rink of valley, and there are two others in prairie.
Quest 2: The light is found in the ice rink, just fly close to it
Quest 3: Forging a candle means filling up the candle with wax and collecting it. Can be done with seasonal candles too.
Quest 4: Relive is on the cliff to the right of the ice rink, on a cliff. (Warning, it might be bugged so you may have to restart the game if you don’t see it)

Ok so the spirit just appeared and then disappeared for a split second as I was standing up from the bench, I tried to do it again but it won't come back
I think for some people it will show up but for others it won't; the only thing we can do is try various ways of making it show up by either resetting the servers or just waiting until later

so what might work is you have to press the quest specifically for reliving the spirit. I pressed it was I was walking into the portal, spawned in the middle of the ice rink, and it was just there.

Finally!! I tried to beep as many players as possible to wave to the spirit before it disappeared again. I went to where the spirit is supposed to be, closed the app with that status, re-launched, went through Valley gate, flew up to the hill and the spirit was there. Could have been a coincidence, but may work for others, too. Good luck everyone! In my opinion if a quest is bugged like this, it should be auto-completed for everyone. It's now the second time the same issue appeared.

It should lead you to a shallow hole near the wall where there’s a two player door (one of today’s seasonal candle is there too)

Personal my workaround for the ancestor bug simply proceed to the next area (the flying route [require to unlock the constellation first] then make a u-turn. Make a few attempts if the ancestor didn’t turn out. Good luck to all the Sky kid)

instance refreshing kinda goes like this:
Teleport home (or simply going to another area)
Disregard anyone who is already in the area when you arrive, your instance hasn't yet changed even though you're in a new place
Also disregard people spawning individually at the expected spawn points, as they are just that, people from the same instance just entering the area
Once you see one or more players pop in suddenly, outside of the spawn points, your instance has merged with one at Home, and you can make a run for the zone gates knowing the instance of valley (or whatever place) you're entering is as fresh as if no one has entered it before

Yeah, there is a server instance bug going on. You can try going to another area (or home), waiting ~30 seconds and returning to the ice rink
Make sure to wait long enough until you get put in another server instance before returning
And go straight to the spirit when you do

What worked for me was going into the skiing race and starting the sequence/cut scene. Once the doors opened to race I went back to the rink and the spirit was waiting there for me to get.

There isnt any specific way to trigger the bug to be fixed. You just have to get lucky. My theory is that the spirit is only available on ONE SERVER at the moment
Thats why we have to keep cycling to get it. Some people got it in 2 tries some people done 20 and didnt get it. I truly believe its just present on a single server and we have to keep changing servers till we’re lucky enough to be put in that one
Or that its available on a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of servers and same thing, we have to keep cycling

This spirit thing is a definite problem. I wonder why, if TGC knew about the issues with this particular spirit the last time, why did they put the same one into today’s quest without fixing it first.

Im not sure if they deliberately 'put' it into todays quest, it could be pre-programmed on an automated system
they are working on it though!
@rain garden you definitely want to rush to the spirit! if you get there fast enough, you might be able to get it before it disappears
