I tried to make my first challenge yesterday on the Krill islands at the Forgotten Ark, it wasn't worth it. You can explore quite a bit of those islands but as soon as you try to create a challenge it restricts you to a very small area, if you stray to far while creating it would teleport you back to the start in a blinding flash, and then there are wind walls that do not exist when you are not trying to create a shared space. Very dissapointed as it is seldom explored area and I wanted to get some foot traffic for it.

Was there a problem with yesterday's treasure hunt spirits showing up for some people? A friend said the scavenger and realm spirits didn't appear for them at treasure reef and they had to skip yesterday's tickets.

Someone did mention that there was an issue but it was because they were in the middle of an Abyss quest and it jammed up the appearance of them. But that's the only thing I saw.

Completed puzzle director and stunt actor so far, currently vibing with the puffin spirit whose name I keep forgetting

No worries, it shows up as soon as you hit some of the higher levels of friendship with them, it’s hidden initially

I had the same issue a few updates ago. Check your map for a rogue winged light. It swapped spots with one I had already collected, strangely.

yes, that's normal : this is the trust moment, you both need to honk to find an icon, which will lead to the spirit location (different from the one where you get the tree) in the carnival area

same as home spaces or at least aviary, aviary too doesn't belong to any realm in particular and is all colorful

I'm gonna actually mention what a dev actually said in a dev talk i had. They admitted it's more difficult to revisit the old spirits in the new seasons. They had to make sure to create something new for the spirits, but still keeping in mind about their personality they already had. It was more challenging than straight up creating from scratch

Every season, the theme is different than the last. Some themes do overlap like Dreams + Performance but anyone who actually played the seasons and paid attention knows they're nothing alike.

Besides... how many video games host a cinema and interactivd music artist concerct IN-GAME?

Rarely... Fortnite couldn't reach Aurora stats with that in game concert of a music artist it had some years back.

I'll have to mention what devs had explained in a dev talk: the game had been bloated with many spirits lately so they wanted to revisit some beloved old spirits and give them fresh look and new stories to know more about them in a deeper level

I personally didn't feel strong feelings for the older seasons, not even Dreams. Like the story was cheesy kind of imo

Yeah 😭 I think that’s why some cosmetics in Sky feel so special to all the people; some capes and effects just leave a really strong memory behind and that’s why I’ve uploaded that message, also I wanna help other users to make ThatGameCompany look at us, give them ideas that looks similar to for example the Blue Bird Cape with the effects of feathers falling, and you for example an unique sound that emits the Moomin Bell.

I’d honestly love to see more flying effects like the Blue Bird cape feathers again someday. Little details like that make Sky feel so magical💙✨

as a newer player, i like that tgc is bringing back older spirits in new ways (and extra kudos for the re-imagining tgc does to put a new spin on their original season concept) you get the chance to meet the spirits just as older players got to and share in that experience and imo it helps bridge some of the divide some may feel between more veteran players vs moths/butterflies

I... sometimes do. I was also one of those who thought bringing back spirits in seasons felt like "recycling" but I just let it be, since this is their game after all and they usually don't bring back anything unless its really needed. But honestly, what they have been bringing back spirits with has been a lot better recently than how it was during Radiance It finally felt somewhat unique this season and Lightmending.

I still question what is Migration's mix of spirits. I'm not quite sure how to sit with the idea of base spirits in a mix of season spirits but I mean, the spirits could use a make over tbh so I was still happy and glad Manta Whisperer finally had identifiable cosmetics

Exactly (about Manta Whisperer) We had 3 base game spirits that are nearly identical and bald. (The Spirit seen with Blushing Prospector, Manta Whisperer, and Ceremonial Worshipper)

Festival Dancer looked like they were dancing a more traditional thing (hence festival) but is now alot more athletic and can do a breakdance.

I think the meaning behind Divining Grandpa's role is that unlike the other family members who were actively chasing happiness through means like riches, being admired on stage etc. He knew that you can't just become happy upon grabbing the bird because the happiness will come from a meaningful life. So he didn't chase the bird, and he didn't look as distressed as the other Spirits.

It is like you are a cell sized creature in a Petri dish under a microscope and you swim around consuming things to get bigger, and then you move to the next layer. It is all 2D but lovely graphics and simple idea.

exactly!! I absolutely loved that they keep creating unique concepts, and manage to reinvent the same concept into something new and refreshing. The animated cape texture such as the ones on the 9cd iap cape and the Nature seafoam cape truly blew me away

I genuinely loved the bald quest scenes. It described the concept of being stuck in a loop of depression and breaking free by truly believing in yourself really well and visually

Even once you get out of the loop, you'll still face few obstacles as you gain confidence. It's perfectly portrayed

I was talking to my friend who was worried that the old TS clue wasn’t “Reassuring Ranger” but “Chill Sunbather,” and my friend was having trouble understanding the colors, so I made a little collage to show!
