I've been thinking about the new seasons and how they've all been reworking spritis from older seasons and such, and I started wondering about potential new seasons and new storylines to tell
Because like, consider we get a season of Adventure, based around a dnd/ttrpg campaign
the season hub could be in the cafe, and kind of like the personality event we could have different spirits embody different classes/archetypes. The seasonal quests being the literal quests the party takes on in the campaign, like starting with saving a cat from a tree and ending with defeating an elder Krill (or something like it)

Golden wasteland is one of the easier wingless realms in my opinion. Not so much flying involved, and wingless are invincible against darkness. (although maybe it’s different for temporary capeless?)

not quite, I propose a game room addition to the currently existing cafe (bc I feel it's criminally underused) or a tavern in the Hidden Forest, where a gameleader presents an adventure to 5 players
5 seasonal spritis for 5 archetypes, modelled after the different realm elders

General plot would be (this is completely fictional within the dnd game of the season) that a new dark corruption is spreading through the Hidden Forest, and it has taken hold of the forest elder. The players, embodying the archetypes associated with the elders (like classes in dnd) have to enter the magical realm of the campaign and defeat this dark corruption

in terms of vibes it could range between the lightheartedness of Performance with the tension of Abyss (especially for the last quest)

• Daylight Praerie - healer (has a jar of butterflies that can restore light to closeby players)
• Valley of Triumph - bard (musical instrument)
• Golden Wasteland - fighter (gets a sword prop)
• Vault of Knowledge - mage (wand/staff that can light candles or stun enemies at a distance (snowball mechanics))

• starting off with a personality quiz thingy (yes I think that event had quite some potential) to see which archetype would suit the players / skykids
• ending with the players having to sneak into a darkness infested Forest temple, dodging krill or creatures and clear out all the darkness / free the Forest elder to restore the light

What are you talking about? Unless I'm wrong, sky seasons always have had ultimate gifts for pass and those without. At the very top of each seasonal guide tree there is a item for candle or hearts for all players to get for in game currency. Thats what I was referring to as "free"

they're not really ults per se, ults are referring to something that's obtained via pass after completing the trees and won't be available for players after the season ends

I think you're referring to an IGC guide item. Though usually those are revealed at xx.5 updates, but for this season there seems to be none

Days of bloom will be for three weeks I think, so there is still some time to get more candles. And if it's still not enough, pick a few favorites, and get the others next year.

But yeah, I always wished we would get previews of upcoming events a lot earlier, so I don't end up spending all my candles, only to be short when something arrives that I really want. Been looking at beta screenshots recently for that reason.

there was a bug where a major update would put a duplicate WL in the isle of dawn even if a player had already collected it. this also happened for the second WL added to the wind paths for season of migration

if you collected those duplicated WL and went through eden, it would resolve the duplication. that is, the number of WL to collect after being reborn would be normal again

theoretically, a player could avoid going to eden for several updates and collect those duplicated WL every time their map showed they were available.

and recently? the map bug where isle of dawn showed a WL was available but there was nothing to be found? that got resolved

perhaps the players reporting lower WL counts were ones who picked up the update duplicates. and TGC corrected their WL counts as a result of the bug fix

I never noticed cause I go to Eden so rarely, the difference is like, 30 wing buffs. So I never really notice a missing wing light or two.

You know the standard image of a castle with a large walled enclosure around it and buildings inside as well as the actual main castle keep? That walled section that often contains stables, blacksmiths and other essential trades for the actual people living in the castle and need the protection of the walls, is the bailey, sometimes there are two, and inner and outer bailey, depending on the size of the settlement and castle.

I do agree that the name does not fit the area for Sky, it is very un-Sky like. There are no castles in Sky. I do like the name of the Sacred Pool/Pond previously Forest End

So I suppose there are multiple layers to the Last City area

The name change does add a perspective to just how vast the Last City and its surrounding areas used to be

Finally last event with Lightmending Light Scholar! I won't lie raising their friendship with only hangs out can be exhausting. I know it allows to skip spells and dyes and save candles, but i was regreting my decision in the end.

But at least now i know how i'll balance it out in new season, so good for me, i guess.

I feel like for the "hangout" thing for this season (and the last one I think), they were trying to remake/build on this feature but sorta failed

In the vid, the spirit floats, flies along with the sky kid, and disappear when there's a cutscene. It looks better than the current spirit hangouts imo

Note: I dunno what the feature in video is called. But it's that time when the spirits follow you around after you relive them, before getting to the temple. It only happens for the first time reliving a spirit (a real shame ) , which is why I sent an old vid from when I still used a laggy phone

having the countdown on the loading screen was the easiest way of showing that tho, the lowest effort way I guess, now people have to go to a specific spot or spirit or somewhere in your settings which is (a tiny bit) more effort

I think its more because it was in your face, i dont interact with the spirits every day to see the days left for example
