I personally haven't noticed any increase or decrease in game loading time on pc or mobile when the motd was added and readded and if that's the same case for anyone else I wish they'd just bring the old ui one

I noticed the difference in load times right away myself, even on Switch 2 Tbf it's easier to notice if your internet is particularly slow, since before it'd have to connect to the servers twice (once to load the MOTD and again to load the game itself). Now it just needs to connect once

As far as I remember, there's a time when the game loading first until we can see our sky kid, then MOTD appear along with play button. But now (before it removed), the play button and MOTD appear first, then loading.

Lunar New Year uses lunar calendar system, so the dates change on the Gregorian Calendar. It can fluctuate between late Jan and middle of February. For example last year's LNY fell on 29th January. But because the year of the Snake (2025) has 13 months due to leap month, so the LNY date gets pushed to 17th February this year.

Next year's LNY will fall on Feb 7 so very likely Fortune will start on late January again.

Fragment finder is more effective when you need to pin point the exact location, best use when there only a few left (the last and 2nd to last one are always so hard to find)

Is buying the season pass worth it?

Depends on you and how much you like the items that come with the pass. Keep in mind there will always be more seasons with cool items in the future even if you don't get a season pass for this season.
But I can tell you it's NOT worth it if you're not able to commit to completing the daily quests everyday, or joined the season late and won't be able to buy the ultimate gifts in time. I also don't usually recommend buying a pass if it's your first season, since new players are still figuring out how the game works. Hope this helps!

Yep! Each day you spend time with the spirit for 30 minutes. You can go on daily runs at the same time, the spirit will just follow you. You also can mix buying and spending time in order to speed things up

Yes if you want to purchase only ult cape then I believe you should have enough time to obtain that way. I recommend you use the season calculator to be sure. You can also skip the ult mask after all as long as you've completed the 3 seasonal quests in the guide tree

Also I had a funny moment:

My cr group of friends wanted to cr the gw cakes, and I asked who would lead this time (I had been leading for dailies already), the other 3 said "MEEE" all at the same time and then they got confused lol

I suggested them to do the rock paper and scissor. I did the Migrating Manta Whisperer flag emote lvl 2 for the countdown for them to send a word / emote denoting any of the 3 hand forms

2 of them said scissors, and one of them said rock so that one won and lead for the cr

Now I need the actual scissor paper and rock game as an emote or something 😭

I wanted to share my feedback about Sky: Children of Light. It feels like there are now too many seasonal events, which reduces the time available to fully enjoy the game. Additionally, frequent bugs and splits impact the experience. Would it be possible to consider a break so players can enjoy the game without stress? Lastly, I’d also like to point out that cosmetics are often too expensive for the majority of players.

welcome basically, there is a separate Sky game in china, often called "Sky Netease" due to the company operating it

while the two games are built from the same engine, there are some differences in-between the two, like different traveling spirits, different schedules and different events, even some different features between the games

Ngl I don't understand what's the point of increasing daily candle limit. It'll only cause players to play for much longer than a healthy gameplay time, if there's no limit then I fear players will farm 24/7 which would be crazy unhealthy just to get top of things. The limit exists to ensure a healthy gameplay habit. Plus don't people realise that the chevron system helped us make more MORE candles than before? Before it was implemented everyone would have to Candle Run every single realm just to get 20, now we have it much easier bc we have lots of wax sources, and even 1000 wax events that come up every 2 hours. I don't understand all the begging to increase wax limit even if it means everyone will play for much longer.

Also this is just a game, not getting something won't affect your life at all. You should worry about whether you've eaten or not

I'm just bothered by this kind of attitude towards digital products

They're practically asking for no limit for the sake of "freedom"
Like...it would feel unfair if someone has all the time to farm candles for hours compared to someone who only has the time to farm for maybe 1 hour

That would be unhealthy to keep grinding for hours and you get more candles than everyone else who play for casual duration. It's like a messed up reward when you risk getting sick just so u can get 100 candles a day.

Increasing chevron rate might be good, but I'd want the cap to exist. Plus we have too many wax sources so we can hit the limit faster even if the limit remains the same

Cap removal means it's possible to farm any number of candles. Even if it still has the same rate as chevron, a "soft cap" will still exist

that's true, however these stuff do not offer any gameplay advantages, just cosmetics and you're not needed to get everything. Games like HSR is justified bc you have to use the resources for the gameplay level ups (not to mention the resources are for characters you've gambled your money out as well)

well, that's all sky's got to offer, their roles in either game don't matter much, just like HSR only offering you characters you grind for, and in skys case cosmetics, but Yeah there's a heavier obligation to increase that cap in gacha games to keep the meta safe and healthy

Exactly, gacha games basically have you to grind for all sort of things such as level ups, character pulls etc. Sky's only offers are the cosmetics. Again tje true gameplay sky has is the seasonal content and the basegame realms where everyone can play without spending a candle

I 100% agree that not having a cap would do more harm than good, and as said many times in this chat, you don't have to get absolutely everything If you can't get everything from an event/TS, don't stress about it. Just get what you want. All it is is simply cosmetics

That's simply bc hsr is a gacha game. Essentially a pay to win game so of course the feedbacks would be positive bc it's your money you've spent just to get a character and you need to level the heck up of them

it's really more about dopamine, in hsr you can rock the same characters for years before they start to get stale meta wise, so it doesn't really matter because by the time they do get stale you'd have made another team. I think hsr is a really bad example here now

HSR is definitely a bad example, that game is nothing like Sky Sky is nowhere close to being a gacha game

Not to mention the power creep problem in gacha games. More characters are released with better stats and such and you're obliged to gamble again to get on top of things. Sky is a completely different game from this
