LITERALLY I honestly only just recently got back into the game, played daily from Sanctuary to Nesting then got burnt out and played for every few months until like three weeks ago, and I've been loving it since, I see a LOT of improvement since last I've played, but the online community still feels so like jaded and inherently annoyed all the time which has been a huuuge bummer

I don't even interract with the YouTube or reddit communities anymore because they're super mad and mean all the time too 😭

(also good to know that any of the times i did it the first round was on ground level, the 2nd more mid height area and the 3rd one was always high up, but i haven't done it enough to say this as a fact so if I'm wrong i hope others will point it out and tell u a better way)

i didn’t understand what i was supposed to do. on my account, the mission was completed the moment i burned the darkness, but on my brother’s account it turned into an endless game of tag

every time i got close to the orbs, they disappeared or dodged me

the season missions are to burn all the darkness on the devices, the lantern mending is a daily activity unrelated to them -- you get warped to the area for the quest, but you don't need to mend the lantern to complete it

hopefully the skates themselves are a ticket/igc thing and not an IAP, especially if they have an effect

5 SCs is by collecting wax from 4 season candles lying around in the open. Each SC wax = one quarter or 1/4.

So that makes 1 candle. The other 4 are from daily quests.

4 + 1 (from wax) = 5.
Season pass holders get an extra bonus SC each day, totaling to 6.

Best way to get inside the orb is fall when the orb is go down, don't chase it from on top. Also, don't fly too fast or the orb wouldn't grip you
Then while you're inside the orb, stabilize your sky kid by move a bit if they went near to the edge

Last night I did that and it seems work on me, even to all orbs there
But it's still tricky

in fact, the 'button press to free manta' (which is how you trigger quest completion) didn't use to exist!
it was only added, because of a prior bug that caused the manta not to be freed automatically when the plant was burned

I remember this old bug from back when I was a moth where freeing the mantas caused them to just be stuck in place

That manta quest also only worked for the player who could actually burn the plant, the manta's movement was synced throughout the server so a merged server made the quest impossible to complete cuz the first person already freed the manta. You had to keep refreshing the server and be the first to burn down the plant.

I once suggested a sort of gentle back pat emote as a comfort gesture to a stranger via the live feedback thing.

The otherall feeling of this season is reminding of how in Splatoon 3, if two players played really well during a Fest match and won, they might fist bump each other.
