You can buy items in the trees as normal with season candles, you can also invite the spirits along on an adventure with you by calling them down in the constellation and hitting the little button that looks like the follow me emote. You can only take one spirit per day, but if you wanted to you could invite the same spirit every single day for a week

When you progress far enough with a spirit friendship they'll offer you a chance to hang out in a more specific location, the button will be a heart with an exclamation in it!

Iirc once a day you get to choose a spirit to bring with you for around 30 mins

you can stay afk and itll count

You can skip stuff you don't want. Buying stuff increases your friendship with the spirit which unlocks higher tiers. If you don't want to buy something you need to make up for that by spending time with the spirit via taking them on an adventure

The update caused the old wl to respawn. So I think they got swapped somehow. Instead of seeing the new wl you might see the one in the tunnel back on. If you've already gotten that one afte the update then you might not see the new wl until you go through eden again.

I had to go else where to get information on how it works rather than the game itself. the thing i hate the most is the unintuitiveness. the old tree was easy to understand, with this one i have no idea what to press and if pressing anything is even possible. the red dot is still showing up and i have no idea how to get rid of it. you can't access the tree on the left whatsoever

It was to have so people didn’t have to spend all their candles on a node before getting to the next thing, but we still have to wait and buy everything from the tier and or spending time with a spirit so in the end it’s still a lot of work to circumvent and spend candles on what you solely want. I appreciate trying to give players choices and avoid useless spells but I think the UI wasn’t the most effective, I’m glad it’s only with seasonal spirits so people can try it out and give feedback

Take a look at those lines. I have so there is a pivot point, then allowing you to select from any of three rewards, then back to a pivot point. There are already things like pivot points in the basic constellation where you unlock something like a dye or a random spell instead of some reward.

From what I could pick up after playing today, you can skip from buying items you don't want/need

For that, you can spend time with any spirit from the season by inviting them and they stay alongside you for about 30 minutes before a prompt asking you if want them to leave or not. While this is one way to increase the tier level, you may also buy items to increase levels and access the next level

Edit: Point to be noted, as of the first tier, spending 30 minutes with the spirit so far only fills up 1/4th of the tier level, and I sadly can't know yet if this filling speed will decrease as the tiers increase

I spent the 30 minutes with the creepy thing following me and showing up staring at me(don’t like this thing following me btw) but nothing changed in the tree. Nothing opened up. The only way to get to the next level was by paying the 17 candles and buying a music sheet I’ll never use. So how does spending time work? What is it supposed to do if spending time doesnt open the next level in the tree. So far I do not like this new tree

The spirit wil tell you that they spent enough time with you and they'll ask to leave. If you say yes the friendship will increase a little (it was about 1/4 of a level)

You have to spend multiple days of time I’m pretty sure! The little bar on the branch should have advanced when it was time to “say goodbye” to the spirit after 30 minutes. Also, the whole season is doable without the inviting spirits so if you don’t like it you don’t have to do it

The trust/exp gained from spending time with the spirit is a fixed amount, that does not guarantee the trust bar to shoot right up to the next tier. It's an additional method on top of the regular way of spending seasonal candles.

When light creatures get old enough, they go to the summit to die. Their light returns to the cycle and they are reborn again.

When the game update happened last week it caused collected WL to reappear in the isle of dawn and also wind paths, if you then collected those extra WL it effected the placement of these two new ones. So if you collected the extra Wind paths one again last week then this new one appears in its place in the tunnel.

When you do eden all WL should appear in their proper places

It was like these two new WL entered the game early and had no place to go so they went to spots that were already vacant.

It's too close to reset. You can only activate 1 spirit per day for 30 minutes, meaning if you activate the spirits less than 30 minutes before reset, it won't work to prevent the spirit rule and time overlap

Hi all. If this question has already been answered, my apologies. But I logged in today on switch and I cannot have any of the new spirits follow me. I did yesterday and thought it was a daily thing that I could have one follow me.

Secondly, I've seen reports of new winged light in isle of dawn and the wind paths but they are not showing up for me. Am I missing something?

not sure about the first one. I did see one bug report where even though the player hadn't had a spirit follow them all day, the game was acting as if they had.

as for the second one, it seems like the new winged light will not show up in their intended positions until you go through Eden and are reborn. if you're looking for them before that, you can find the wind paths Wing light where the pre-existing one is and the new isle one in the same spot as one of the other five. for me, that isle WL was on top of the cave with the light murals inside. I did an Eden run yesterday, and found the new winged light where they are supposed to be

and believe me, i will be reporting that bug.

so i saw (via youtube) that there are supposed to be two new WL with this season. i've checked both spots ||behind the guide's camp|| and ||near the summit of the big central floaty island in wind paths|| and i can't find either. i did find one in a tunnel in the wind paths, but i'm not sure if that's just one i had missed that was already from the season when wind paths was introduced. i have found all 4 spirits in wind path from this season. what am i doing wrong?

I noticed yesterday that unlocking the call filled up half of bar for level 1. And it looks like 2 days of hangout filled up the rest. So in total it might have been 4 days worth for the whole bar. I unlocked migrating Manta whisperer lvl2 and then spent time with them and it looks like it only filled up 1/6 of the progress. So I think it'll take 6 days for lvl 2. I'm assuming it'll get a little longer for each level.
