i also from time to time on battlefield notice people to start deephonking near the darkness tree and then going home and I know exactly from what video they got it

that video says to start doing deep honks "so the game acknowledges you" and then go home and wait a bit and then use return shrine to get server merge which makes absolutely zero sense

i was really hopeful for dye trades to have more candles available. you can get solid amounts of dye passively on the run when you merge into burnt servers so it's accumulating anyway, and i have nothing to dye anymore. but there is still no way to make up for one missed day of candle running. this is worse than a second job lmao

The spirit you're looking for is likely the sentry at the back of the marketplace. You have to replay quest 1 or 2, go home then use the return shrine to enter free-roam mode.

It's not intended to work, it is just a prop for show, people only give the illusion that it works because if you time it correctly, using the prop gives you a small amount of i-frames so the krill doesn't strike you

I don't think the hammer exists in freeplay. You need it to complete one of the quests but for that you are given the coin. I was not able to get the hammer in freeplay even though I could use a coin elsewhere.
