I play a lot with my daughter and often our session starts out fine with both of us seeing the other.

When, during the ~~ fun ~~ run, one of us is merged into another server in the middle of the run, often one of us won't see the other one as online anymore and can't warp to them while it works fine the other way around.

im getting server splits with friend even while holding hands/piggy (not transitioning to different map in that moment) but we still can see each other online but usually cant teleport because of full server, the one who (not only me) cant see online when she literally is is just this one friend, atleast who i am aware of

yeah, the "offline but not offline" friend can also see other people online just fine but we cant see her being online (and thus teleport) half of the time

And her account still shows all full animations for boats when we switch zones while mine doesn't. We both finished the zone quests / guide stuff and we both have skip all cut scenes on and we both once watched the full transition animation without skipping

When multiple devices play on the same network, the bandwidth and ping latency can be significantly reduced. For example, if the connection has 50 Mbps download speed and 30 ms ping latency, this could lead to reduced speeds - below 25 mbps- and increased latency, often exceeding 60 ms or much higher spikes. That's far from ideal for generic online gaming, especially for Sky which is highly sensitive to connection quality. The server split also suggested that such a spike happened. To mitigate this, it's recommended that one player use mobile data while the other remains on WiFi so you use separate network resources. Let me know if it helps her being seen in the constellation.

You open the door, go trough the cracks and go to the clouds, flying towards the top of eden and closest to the cloud as possible (the second cutscene trigger is very big)

At first i thought doing this would take the fun out of it but being forced to honk at plants at the middle of the storm quite isnt fun already

Most of the slow burning, resets, and not burning are caused by latency and server merges. Without fixing the server architecture, or linking the plants to Skykid status instead of server status, they likely can't fully fix that issue, and some problems will persist. They can make it better, but not eliminate the problem.

Them not burning had to do with other players devices and render distances

Wich is why if people were too far they wouldnt burn, i had many cases where i would be alone with someone else, they could burn their plant far from me and i couldnt far from them (i play on ps5 so i figure the render distance is max possible)

What i noticed now using the candle on vines is that they dont have the particle effects anymore, its like if you are honking but they are still burning fast

Things are pretty messed up, internally, if somebody else's render distance directly affects you (formal you, not you directly) like that... But, it makes sense. It's not the first render bug that I've seen. Also explains the stop-start issue with burning, as new players come and go, as well, and why playing with cross-play off stops it. Only your own render distance matters, for the most part.

Makes me wonder if the same problem exists for regular darkness plants, because I frequently have the same issue with them.

Yeah, latency still affected (and assume affects) because when the candle works it would stop working for a second and continue

I dont mind the merges causing them to regrow if they just burn quick, the frustrating part about the regrow was to slowly honk at everything again

on small vines you basically just have to touch the end and it shrinks into the core, medium vines are 2-3 taps

Same, about merges. The biggest issue I had with that was getting all the way down to the last vine, being halfway through slowly burning it, and boom. All 5 other vines regrew and I'd have to do it all over. If they burn quick now, it won't be as mind nunbingly tedious.

When clicking on a player in constellation, the viewer can only play the messages this player received, not the ones this player sent. So, people you blocked/unfriended are potentially able to view messages you sent to mutual friends and any friend of friend can view messages you received from anyone.
Also, only the Sender has a delete button, the Receiver only has a report button.

• Sender (B) blocked Viewer (A): Viewer can still see messages Sender sent to mutual friend
• Sender (B) blocked Receiver (D): Receiver can still see the message
• Receiver (D) blocked Sender (B): Receiver can't access the menu to play the message, Viewer can still see the message
• Receiver (D) blocked Viewer (A): Viewer can still see messages sent to Receiver
• Viewer (B) blocked Sender (D): Viewer can still see messages sent by Sender
