You can actually fly entire race without using your energy. Checkpoints give enough boost and some parts where it feels like ground is getting too close actually give a bit of updraft. Just remember to steer up and you're golden.

it's based on the highest medal you earn that day- gold is 3/3 points, silver is 2/3, bronze is 1/3. you can only improve your medal too, if you earned silver and got 2 points you can still get a gold for the last point

A tip from a fellow pro I flying: you can quickly change directions/make adjustments by switching flying styles

Each checkpoint refills your flaps, so make sure to use your flap before the next checkpoint. Even if it's right before the point.

I found quickest way with the race is to jump and just deep dive plunge the mountain then to only tap the inner(right)/top edges of the markers, you want to cover short distance instead of flying on the outside or directly through the markers. Also to let the markers do their extra spin then use your wing flap immediately

The tournament isn’t fun anymore. Only people who got the team they wanted are actually participating. Others are doing it only for the event tokens, and that’s only if they want the event items or don’t have to candles to just buy the tickets themselves. This basically means since forest is the most popular team they’re always going to win, because the most people who got that team wanted it. TGC tried to balance the tournament by random assignment, but they failed because there’s no incentive to win other than liking your team and wanting to win. They should’ve given the first place team a good prize, or just let people choose. I’m not even excited to play the events anymore. I’m just doing it for the tickets because no matter what I do my team looses. It’s disheartening
