Rant (but possibly a relatable experience):
I can appreciate and kinda understand the intention TGC had with operating this season, but wowza it is ROUGH finding the seasonal spirits... Like maybe I missed something but I had no idea what I was supposed to do after completing the 1st quest. There were versions of the spirit's doing there own thing and a million people every where... I didn't know I was able to find the actual spirits at that point, and even after I did, I couldn't even see the spirit while I was reliving its memory!!

I feel unhappy about the massive multiplayer function in Isle of Dawn. I want to turn off the crowd and still be able to interact with the new spirit memories. The crowd is intrusive and forces the memories to the ending animation before I can get a look at the still version.

Thank you for that validation I most definitely want to contribute to their development by providing helpful feedback because credit is still due to TGC for how much they've improved Sky over the years! I relived the spirits before I did the quest and there was no problem. The other larger serves with a lot of people only started after the quest was over, but you can go to the night time and it’s a normal server of 8 people

so ive started the new season compleated that. im still in isle of Dawn the room is full of sky kids like in the aurora concert. i can see the NPC spirits but how do i relive them for the emote

You can’t relive the npcs, the actual spirits are scattered across Isle
Use the map I sent earlier for spirit locations

the fur is the entire selling point of the ult, otherwise it's very meh. In my opinion it's a case like the little prince wingless "cape" scarf. Sky figured out a new way to design cosmetics. We'll hopefully get other stuff with the fur that looks better soon.

The game doesn't even hint that you "should have gotten the spirits before the quest". How would we even know to do that? I didn't see them until after the quest summoned them.

So I guess this means anyone who did the quest and followed the intended gameplay basically can't befriend the new spirits without crashing and experiencing frustration. That's really frustrating and sad.

To anybody having issues finding spirits:

Get up high. Whether that be by flying, getting on the giant stone, or both. The smaller the other Skykids looks, the easier it'll be to see the light ring of a spirit. The higher you are from the spirits, the bigger the light ring becomes, and thus, the easier it is to see.

1). Offer any friendship emote to your friend (tell them not to accept)
2). Take out the firework staff
3). Drag the firework staff button from the top to the bottom of the screen, just adjust it around until your skykid stand horizontally mid air
4). You can now use any emote

Theoretically it’s cool to see so many players but I can’t join any of them, can’t see their emotes, only hundreds of placeholders. So that’s what bugs me about it. With the concert you had your row who could all see each other which anchored the experience.

yes! reminder to try and do the seasonal spirits before the guide quest for anyone who hasn’t! if u have epilepsy or get overwhelmed by crowds it might be best to wait a few days before doing the quest so the server crowds calm down!! you have time friends don’t worry! focus on spirits and candles for now

The 0.21.0 update is here!
• The Season of Passage Arises
From April 17th, new pathways call you forward in Isle of Dawn. Experience the memories of four young Spirits and share in the traditions that bring them together as they learn to find community.
In return for Seasonal Candles, each Spirit offers themed items that reflect their experiences, including capes, hairstyles, outfits, plus a new instrument. For every lesson you complete-that is, for every Seasonal Quest- the Passage Guide provides the opportunity to unlock masks that mark your progress.
All Seasonal Quests can be completed independently. From the second quest onwards, players take part in the lesson with larger groups of Sky children, each held at set intervals several times per hour. You can gather in advance with others while the countdown to a lesson begins.
Season of Passage begins at 00:00 April 17th and continues until 23:59 June 25th (all times PDT, UTC -7). Content can be enjoyed by all players who have progressed to at least Hidden Forest. Players with a Season Pass will also have the opportunity to unlock all items from the Seasonal Spirits and Ultimate Gifts available through the Passage Guide.

Take Part in Days of Nature 2023
• From 00:00 April 20th until 23:59 May 7th, celebrate with a new story and friends in the Sanctuary Islands, and share ways to connect that story with real-world efforts making the waters we all share cleaner and healthier.
• Days of Nature will once again offer special IP to support charity efforts focused on real-world ocean cleanup work, and half of the list price from these designated charity items will be donated to The Ocean Cleanup.
• Keep an eye on your inbox for more information as the event approaches. You can also find out more in the patch notes and on the official Sky website!

• A new type of spell is available in the Spell Shop: the Do Not Disturb spell. Rather than creating a temporary or additional block function, this spell shows a message when a friend tries to teleport to a player through the Friendship Constellations. That message lets them know that the player has used this spell and would prefer to play alone. The friend can then choose whether to continue teleporting to the player. We hope this balances Sky's core structure as a social game with the times a player may want to play with only 1 or 2 friends, or just by themselves.
•Based on player feedback, we've updated the kind of objects that social spells like Message Boats, Shared Spaces, and Shared Memories cannot be placed close to. These include places like the daily quest statue in Home, Winged Light, Candles, social Light spots like the pool of the polluted geyser, and the broken bridges in Hidden Forest.

i just logged to check the new seasonal content, and the new moonlit isle of dawn area is truly amazing! i will check the spirits and the seasonal quest this weekend, but at least the items i checked, the fluffy cape, the new silver pendant and those weird crazy masks, look so cool so far!

i haven't even experienced the crowded scene just yet. but quoting the news post about the season of passage sneak peek:

All quests can be completed independently, but from the second quest onwards the rites are held with larger groups of Sky kids, each person’s effort contributing to the greater goal (and earning a bit of extra Light along the way, besides). These larger group quests begin at set intervals, several times per hour, to allow initiates to participate together.

Since you haven’t experienced it yet-
Be aware that trying do the spirits is kinda sucky. Apparently people are rushing them in fear the game will crash, so if you like to take them slow maybe hold off for a lil bit until it’s less busy there.
