How do I send a bug report? I just did the shard event in the prairie caves and did not get any ascended candles. I am on a switch and tried to do the event twice and still did not get ascended candles. I did notice that everyone else seemed to get theirs both times

You need to complete the line of quests (watch all the spirit's memories) and then attend a concert

Depends on which one.

The small light blue one you need to use seasonal hearts by buying the seasonal pass and unlocking the friendship tree of other aurora spirits. The seasonal hearts are at the very top of the tree of each spirit.

The golden ones you can purchase by going into the concert and flying to the entrance to the valley of dreams. There will be a stand with golden wings that you can click on to purchase

you shouldn't be able to purchase them at all until you finish the 5th quest because at the shop it gives you an error message to "make more progress to purchase this item". you bought something else probably.

in the Forest Brook area with the many huts and caves and glowing mushrooms, there is a constellation gate on the right side (near the campfire)
that will bring you to an area with a lot of tree trunks called the Elevated Clearing
on the rainy side of the map is a trunk with an entrance

a cave inside that trunk is blocked by a large stone plate, that needs two players with the stomp emote from the Pouty Porter to open (with any luck, if you don't have that emote yourself, there will be two other players in that area that can open the cave. might just need to wait a while and chirp a bit)

the Pouty Porter can be found in the Forest Brook area, actually

their base level emote should still be accessible after the season ends the same way every other seasonal spirits base level emote is. however their constellation at home will be gone after the season ends since that constellation is only active during the season. higher level emotes and cosmetics only are available post-season when they return as a travelling spirit so the spirits will only be in the coliseum to collect their base level emote in valley

theyll convert to normal candles and the spirits trees will be reduced to just the level 1 emote so you want to finish anything during the season. it takes a long time for the spirits to return as travelling spirits and the ultimate gifts won't come back

that one is really tricky. I assume you're losing the spirit at the part where it goes to the race? as soon as you hear the ding for the memory at the edge of the platform with stairs, hop over to the next one and stand on the veery edge and the memory will just swoop you along with it you shouldn't have to do any input until it stops flying again.
