Well, they maybe are trying to bait crabs towards them, so that other people can burn the Darkness Plants safely, because Shard Crabs, Normal Crabs and Swirling Shards are in different spots for everyone

unfortunately the deep call doesn't bait my crabs it only baits their crabs so it's not particularly helping anyone but themselves memory candles work to bait crabs in my instance because i triggered the candle but I've never had any of the crabs in my instance follow any other players besides myself.

they will bonk my props though so i sometimes place props to distract them

I've been testing Yeti race :

The Yeti Race doesn't work like Valley races (slide and flight) : The amount of Wax earned at increases based on the amount of Light collected throughout the run!

So you can win between 150 to 300 wax
(one Light collected = 150 wax / all Light collected = 300 wax)

❔ How to collect max of Light :
You must be at least 2 players (friends or not) to start the race.
▫️In the first part of the race (from the Yeti area to the top of the Village area), there is no time limit: take the opportunity to collect as much light as possible and fill the gauge to the maximum.
💨 Wind walls can prevent you from going back in certain places : You can go back to the start by taking the wide central corridor. It's easier to collect the maximum by being several players, and by dividing the task.
▫️The second part of the race (in the village area) is timed, so do your best to collect as many as possible before the timer runs out ⏱️, and again, it will be much easier and more efficient with several people, by picking up each one on their side

❕All participating players share the same gauge, so all win the same amount of wax.

🥇The first to arrive is simply highlighted during the arrival cutscene: it is the one who advances (as with the other races in the Valley).

You can win wax through this race once a day.

Take the opportunity to take the 🎂 in the Yeti area and the 2 🎂 in the village: 150 more wax by the way.

▫️ This race is available since Days of Feast 2022.

You have about 10ish seconds or something around that time before the krill goes back down. But actually once the krill has its red eyes locked to the manta you can just fly straight through (just don't fly in between the eye path of the krill and manta)
