I used to be like crazy each time I heard very loud sounds, got medical attention for it and turns out my ear canal was closing itself and it didn't adapted well enough to pressure changes so sometimes sounds would be crazy
I did used earplugs, and they did hurt A LOT, so you might as well consider headphones, like the big ones that block sound, they're pricey tho
