This is my interpretation of a 'child' of darkness! They use the children of light's winged light to repair their cape! The krill don't harm them. Creatures of Light break down their cape very slowly. They can be befriended and made into a child of light. Perhaps they're just corrupted by something. Maybe the ||red thing in eden that shoots off that red rain|| makes them corrupted so it's rare that they can leave ||eden|| to get help. They can't become children of light again while in ||eden||

It'd be a little hard to get but fun to relive, imo.

Finished Ancestor Spirit reference for Omoni! He's a Hidden Forest Ancestor Spirit that would actually reside inside the temple, oddly enough, where his memories would consist of him doing his day job constructing power diamonds with the press in the center of the now-dilapidated area. He'd give an "exhausted" emote that lingers (the skykid stays in that little animation, like the spooked/hide emote for example) as well as his mask and his hair. He was Amai's husband before the calamity

Kōkai! An Ancestor Spirit in the Golden Wasteland, except... Without the "spirit" bit. He never died with the rest of them, but why not? Approaching him you might get mutterings of "abandoned" and "cowardly," but he seems to be pretty hard on himself so who really knows. He used to guard the gates to the Vault, hence his fitting blue colors, yet they're muted to match his Wasteland origins.

Kōkai's got an infatuation with the Vault Elder and wishes he could see her face again since the calamity, but Creatures of Light don't seem to like him very much and leave him sore and bruised at the bottom of the Vault every time he tries to scale it. That combined with Skychildren trying to burn him thinking he's a Spirit - ouch!

Eeeeeee reference for Ancestor Osore!

Once a Vault scholar that used to be fascinated with dreams and what effect they had on motivation and the psyche, her work was then perverted and turned on its head by the war to instead study nightmares and figure out ways to make one's worst fears come to life within memory cubes in a dark, locked "Panic Room." She locked herself in there shortly before the calamity and refused to come out, surviving it as a result, but instead the darkness crept under the door and began to infect her - using all her guilt and regrets over her work as a sort of fertilizer to grow over the years that followed.

I woke at the crack of dawn, awoken by the chirp of a bird. I stared out into the vast snow and mountains. I got off of my bed, and made my way to the well near my cottage. I carried back a bucket full of water, and used it to wash my face and hands. Once I was done, I left the bucket under one of my shelves and walked over to change my clothing. Soon I leapt out of my small house and skipped over the frosty sidewalk. I said good morning to people that passed by, and made my way to the Cocoa Cafe.
“I’ll have one cup of hot chocolate, please.” I said.
“Okay sir. That will be five coins.” The skykid replied.
I looked into my bag and pulled out the coins to give to the skykid.
“Thank you, I’ll call you when your order is ready.” The skykid went to the back of his hut to get my item ready.
I sat down at one of the wooden tables, and one of my friends, Milkis, came by.
“Have you heard?! The AVIRO (Annual Valley Ice Racing Olympics) is starting today!” Milkis exclaimed to me.
“You sure are up early. And yes, that is why I’m up at this time.” I replied.
“Me too. I was gonna go to the stadium, but I didn’t want to go alone. Wanna come with me?”
“Sure.”
A couple of hours later, Milkis and I made our way to the stadium. We had seats in the back, but I didn’t really mind. Soon, everyone else gathered here, and it was nearly time for the race to start. As always, the two Valley Elders came to make the usual announcement.
“Welcome dear citizens of Valley of Triumph!” Said one of the Twins.
“Another year of the AVIRO, huh. Well, as always, new year, new racing landscape!” Said the other, rather enthusiastically.
“We hope you enjoy the race!” They shouted in unison.
I laid back in my seat, and watched as the race began.

Chapter one: Mystery and an unknown origin

    I awoke with no memory. Nothing. I didn’t know where I was from, who I was, or what I was doing. But one thought burned in my skull like a forest fire; ascend. I inspected my appearance. I had dark skin, bright tan clothing. I carried a candle and I felt the smooth touch of a mask against my head. I looked around. I was standing atop a stone pedestal, grass surrounded me. I saw what appeared to be dressing rooms far to my left, and a large building towards my right, and a portal with swirling purple in the middle in front of me. And all around that, open sea. I walked over to the large building on the right. It had a strangely familiar symbol etched onto its door that covered most of the building. I became suddenly dizzy, and I staggered back. What did it all mean... where was I? Who was I?

Heheeee Hitoride! He's Kōkai's door-guarding compatriot (when it comes to guarding a door, it usually takes two to tango), but since he wasn't treated with as much favoritism as Kōkai, Hitoride had to fend for himself and suffered a worse fate He's partially corrupt, but not mentally like Osore - only physically - and darkness needs to be periodically burned off him so it doesn't fester in his scars. He misses having a purpose as he can rarely help skykids like Kōkai can due to his deteriorated state; he's incredibly sweet but comes across as hopeless

||Fanfic: My heckin time as a moth.

So, me exploded from this giant crystal thing, then I reawaken as a fricken moth. I know, weird right? But not your typical brown cape default, I mean a literal fricken moth! I tried getting people to listen, they only raise their hand up and I just feel the compulsion to rest on their hovering hand. I think it’s kinda strange to know how such things can happen to non light creatures, like a literal heckin moth. I then just flew around and then landed in eden, which then caused me to pop like a balloon, and then I woke up...on the island. With a moth wing under my back, I crushed a moth on accident....and I thought to me self, “kinda hecked up!” An then I made sure there were no moths next to me in eden after that.||

One Land, Two Elders
Chapter 2

“On your marks, get ready, GO!” They [the Elder twins] announced the beginning of the race in unison again.
I watched as the racers sped off, some taking to the skies, while others slid across the snow and ice.
“Should we go and watch them race from the viewing point?” Milkis asked, eagerly.
“Alright.” I agreed.
Milkis and I made our way to the “viewing point.” In reality, it was an elevated walkway extending on, beside most of the race map. We watched as the racers sped by us. But there was one particular racer who caught my eye. She was a scrawny thing, no bigger than a young child. I watched as she ran beside us, half-limping. Then our gazes met and she went through the dark tunnel, following the other racers from behind. At that moment, I heard a loud rumbling sound, and the next thing I knew, the tunnel had collapsed. With the skykid underneath. My heart skipped a beat, but I saw her come out alive on the other side of the tunnel. Then, I heard an announcement from the female elder twin.
“And it seems one of our racers is down!” She announced.
I watched as the medics took the chibi away to safety.
“Do you know that girl?” Milkis whispered to me.
I shook my head. “I’ve never seen her in my life.” I whispered back.

Hypothetical Elder and creatures of a hypothetical location - Elder of the Shining Tundra

(Using my same "lettersmashing" to condense his name as I do other Elders) Shinuda's location would be off the coast of Golden Wasteland - if the ships weren't all crashed and broken, you'd be able to take one from Wasteland's shores to Tundra's ones! It's all winter and ice and aurora themed, and Shinuda himself is based on figure skaters and, to an extent, dragon riders! I imagine the "darkness problem" there is actually polluted air, though I'm not sure yet how that'd work game mechanic-wise

I imagine his "light accepting from a Skykid" animation would be first him trying to dance on the ice, then collapsing and coughing from the polluted atmosphere -then encouraging the Skykid to join him on the ice and give him the light in their hands, and he'd get back up to do a long and fast pihrouette - the kid throws the light up and he ends the pihrouette in a fancy pose as he catches the light and then does a thankful bow to the kid that gave him the light.

Flying fish would act like butterflies in this region, and aurora dragons would act like mantas!

Chapter 2: intriguing isle

My head split in pain. I lay on what felt like cool sand. I didn’t want to get up. I didn’t want to face this reality, this strangeness. But I stood. I scanned the horizon. The sea stretched out behind me, violet sand and deep purple rocks ahead of me, a broken archway, and beyond that, a looming entrance to a cave. I saw no other way forward. So, I forged ahead. The sand and stone felt cool on my bare feet. The sea breeze blew softly, but still enough to make me shiver. I entered the cave.
As I trudged along, paintings on the wall flickered to life and glowed, as if expecting my arrival. The murals made no sense to me, although I tried my best to understand them. I jumped down a ledge, cold water splashing against my ankles as I land. I saw the light at the end of the cave, my hopes rising. I sprinted out the cave exit, the light nearly blinding me, i shielded my eyes. When I opened them, I saw pillars of purple stone jutting skyward, butterflies of pure light fluttering around them. Enormous clouds way in the distance encircled a temple atop a giant mountain. The scene was breathtaking. Literally. I had to stop for air. The one detail I had neglected was perhaps the most noticeable one, a strange person like being stood in front of me, they were made of light, just as the butterflies were. It’s head pointed towards the temple as it stood, eerily unmoving. I moved up to it. Then suddenly, something unexpected happened, and trust me, it’s more shocking than ending up here in the first place.

Maybe it could have another spirit there, with a new tree or even a small shop to get spells, guarding the entrance to a cloud temple or whatever you see fit. It is totally inaccessible to newbies, so I think it could be a nice gathering place for veterans.
Maybe add a minigame there or some rainbow creature frog or jumping fishes to play with.

I posted this earlier in suggestions but thought I'd share it here too. So, here you go: the Sky Origami Messenger system - a fun way to utilise the Inbox in Sky and make your friend's day a little brighter. My original idea was just simple paper planes, but my real-life sky friend and Reddit user u/goodthankyou suggested I include origami animals as well. From there, things just exploded and my drawing hand couldn't stop drawing. Enjoy!
