Pacific Rim fortune wheel was also odd. I got roughly the same amount of skin frags per 50 tickets (or was it vouchers?) invested. When I reached 90 frags, that suddenly changed drastically. And I don't believe in coincidence here anymore.

It sure was. There was some kind of lucky streak for me, to keep me hooked I guess. At the end it got unlucky, and of course I spent more to get the last 10 frags needed to get the skin.
As always it's impossible to prove it, but the bitter taste remains. Was my last spending on a crossover for sure.

Just saw someone last week who got the 2 skins from gacha on his marches. Based on my experience with fortune wheel, he must've spent several thousands if not even more into the 10k realm just for those. It's a joke really.

Theres not luck for those things. The wheel is set up in a way to get you close enough to think the extra spend will get you the last thing. But the chance for the last thing is now 0.001% rather than 1%

It’s a tad unfair that each event stage is limited to use things by. I missed out on checking into game before reset to use azure scale and now it has been converted but I wanted to redeem them. What a waste of money on that fishing event!

2 = A lively state with 5 active alliances. Medium spending state.

While I completely agree with your sentiment over the excessive number of events, this was always the case as an R5 when running an alliance (in the context of it becoming a job - which should never really be the case, but it is what it is); additionally a good R5 devolves responsibility to their R4s for some of that work. If you have an issue with your members not reading or responding, well, then that's a different issue altogether and I guess more stringent actions are needed. Its part and parcel of that responsibility, its not event specific albeit managing and participating in the number of events is.

I would say if your members are relying on r5 and r4s to feed them everything about every event you can ignore them. That bit isn't really your responsibility unless you're taking the game very seriously.

Just call out with what the alliance does as a group. Rr. Koth. Throwdown. Cc/svs. Maybe annihilation and if you're friends, team pow. The rest is solo garbage

I think it speaks more to the personal affect on people rather than how an alliance is or isn't run, or if you are, or are not in a leadership position. My interpretation of the above is really that the problem is more so that his/her alliance members login, do their events, dont' read messages or chat in AC and log off again.

But Cyan is right, some people also want to be spoon fed everything, even things they can read perfectly well for themselves that doesn't need R5/R4 involvement

im playing sos now 5 years. and since there is so much going on i miss the interaction when members are online. and for this i blame all the events going on and takeing to much time cut off from the rest of the actual gameplay. sorry english is not my first language so some things getting lost in translation. maybe.
members reading. not all of them. but that will always be an issue. they dont know the translate button, are to shy, to lazy, … what ever. i just dont like where sos gameplay is leading to. but now i go in my corner and rethink about our alliance style. 😉

and if you play in a newer state.. people need to be spoonfed cause maybe they dont know all the stuff going on? and to have a good working alliance for the future you will do it cause it will take less time later when your members know what they doing

I have more than 15 years of managing guild in one mmorpg, and I can tell that members who require babysitting are most annoying and useless ones. There difference between asking for some tips and being 100% reliant on leader to explain everything.
Gullible puppets who will jump off the cliff - yes, but absolutely useless when it comes to adapting, learning and being creative. I recommend avoiding such infantiles, they make horrible team which wont develop in long run.

I think that's what I said, in a round about way. Generally though, there are also still people that still have the complete wrong idea of what running an alliance means. But I agree, some people lack the comprehension of even the simplest of things after all this time, which always amazes me. I've played with some for longer than I care to mention and they still struggle with even basics like influencer trap or what a peace flare is used for and it gets very tiring repeating the same things over and over to the same audience. Sometimes a different audience, but the same issues/messages and unwillingness.

Ultimately, you can never account for the personal factor in games like this, and the weirdly odd beliefs some people have over how to play/manage/act/listen and a variety of other attributes that bemuse me daily even after almost 5 years of playing.

I doubt that fishing event was random, at least on later days. On day 1 I was getting variety of stuff, some blue lures, few purple, some biocaps. On day 3 it was always full of biocaps and nothing more. And of course we had random small patches that they never explaoned what they do. I believe they realised midway that fiahing event was more generous than they expected and cut it short

I believe the fishing event each tier (lv 1-10, 11-20 and 20+) all had caps on the non bio rewards, because my account I leveled slowly got way more lures/buffs

Weekly store has already lots of items and generation of weekly store coins are way less, it will again hit the f2ps ,
The main question is ! Why it's even came to consideration that flash duels might be removed?
What's the logic behind this survey? It's the only way players f2ps can get some previous gen heroes capsules and hero appointment items for free,
Devs should have improved flash duels it should have been enhanced with more free rewards for f2ps.
They should have included more items like flawless pearls or other items and flash duels should have been a weekly alliance event, rather improving existing features which are f2p friendly are considered burden?? Devs should think carefully that what should be their actual way if planning!

I really do think more and more often that they're trying to kill off this title and just can't... Do it. it reminds me of one manager I had who, instead of firing someone, just scheduled them less and less so they quit instead, and when they were on shift, gave them a ton of work to do they couldn't logically complete. In that time, they had an employee review, and the manager wrote "has trouble completing tasks, and delegating work with team."

I always remember back to when I was doing a large project delivery, we had 200+ offshore developers, now despite the fact that they had this idiotic view that why should they use COTS products that have been tried and tested, work and integrate well when they can write everything custom (point in question about using API integration for chat, censoring, translation etc rather than FP's current half baked trash approach), I got into a debate and argument with several of them over proper code release, and using error checking in their code. What's funny about that situation was that because they used lots of custom java code the data storage was expanding exponentially, and it was very simply down to the fact that the lead developer thought it acceptable not to clean up parsed/verified and transactional data.

I noticed yesterday my SoS install is now over 20Gb, which by comparison of other apps and games on my phone is nearly 3x the size.

I do want to clarify that I don't blame people at the time for having reacted first without really thinking it through, nor do I think CatZilla was wrong at all for pushing feedback he felt strongly about.
It was just a very knee jerk reaction, and unfortunately, sometimes when people are in positions of recognition or visibility, those who know of them may just agree without really considering what is being stated.

Its not a question of personal responsibility or liability. It just is one of those things where, sometimes players just don't think, and they saw someone they know and recognize expressing a similar concern.
We have successes and fails here with the things we send in, more often fails, and that was just one of them. But I don't think anyone is a bad person or intentionally meant to mislead or anything.
It was just feedback in response to an event variant which had appeared with no context.
There was a lot of feedback about it, not just one blurb.

Some events I believe do not use statue skills and set skills like showdown. I set up march in there, unpacked whole new set of statues, so 4 new skills, went i to showdown again, updated march setting yet nothing changed about displayed power

This can't nor should ever be used as a measure for people. It might be useful for some minor tweaks but its in no way attributable to how it plays out in events such as RR or OpenWorld PvP. It this was the case attacking trucks would be another use case, but I know categorically that the metrics and attack patterns in Apex don't stack up when you compare against everything outside of that event. Additionally,, the fluctuations I witnessed in the first round of Apex made no sense to me and to many others in how in one attack you could win, but in the next lose or indeed lose against people that have clear and definable stats much lower than yours.

Its an ego massaging exercise for all the top spenders. Thats all it is. And its not even worth it either for the rewards.

The majority of the players (if they weren't feeling forced to play at these times) would not be playing at the alloted times given. Behemoth no longer means you are the strongest unless it is maxed, troops do most of the work so yes you need higher plasma lvl and your stats to compensate, and you using blue heroes which have a disadvantage to yellow team makes no difference, you better off using duncan and 2 red heroes

Also morale give 12 percent added bonus so that also kills you, because it applies to heroes, behemoth and aircraft.

Testing would imply there is scope for delay or change and none of that happens before its fully released. Just gotta hope none of the heroes is utterly overpowered

The results from some battles do not appear to be fair.

Some players use the ranking system for ill will. They lower their battle power to lose. Move up, then trade places so the so another player is demoted. It causes anger.

Battle power is pointless in sos apex arena. It doesn’t mean anything if a player has more battle power- because another player might have a boost on their stats (due to arbitrary chance from a tempest arm etc).

The easy solution to apex is don't play it. The prizes are awful, the likelihood you get the top ones is low. So if less people play the metrics on it look worse and maybe they give up

They probably don't set value by what the items offer. They set value by willingness to pay and demand for it within each spending tier.

As demand within highest tier decreases, it's devalued to be achievable for the next tier, and if no one is fool enough to buy it, you get something like the terrain

Not sure if this is the same thing that happened to you, but I had about 5-10 minutes left on the timer and I couldn't click a damned thing, wouldn't collect anything at all and I had to just sit and watch the timer count down. I was just shy of the next 1500 tier ticket reward too.

It was closed 20 minutes before reset like all other stages to use any buffs or so, then a timer was running down for 20 minutes to claim your coins
