Put a marker with a time, for example. At 18 UTC, put attack marker and write 18 UTC... , and in that players mailbox, there will be a mail saying 18 UTC, if they look at the time under that mail it will be accurate (excluding dst, If observed)

Agency being removed helps fart+. No free choice means they can plan everything out.

It started with formations being a strict 60-20-20. Now it percolates down to fart+ deciding when you win via matchmaking. What you can win via placements in events like SR or seeding in koth, and how much you spend to get anything via gacha.

Players hop in, swipe and are fed the illusion of playing a game.

Grind the best, doesn't matter. Skills might as well not exist. Time played? A Waste.

You're gently nudged to spend, not to win, but merely to progress. Till it's the norm.

You can make it be correct, but your phone won't observe dst automatically.
If your time zone is - 6.
Then make it - 5 and turn off dst.
It should give you the same local time and make it correct when you do the utc to local time switch in game.

They made anniversary beautifully, so many ingenious ideas to get people to spend more.

First and second stages of event were made to hook people up- look, I is not THAT expensive to get enough traffic bundles for all rewards. Then comes third, fourth, fifth... And amount of bundles needed is raising massively...

Cant they ever make one good real event? Or at least one that cost normal amounts of money? By that I mean around 20-30$? This is what one event should cost, we are so far away from any sort of "normal" here, I am too lazy to do exact calculations but anniversary will easily need thousands of $$, and not low end thousands like one or two. Just take a look how many points minimum are needed for ranking rewards 🤣

Buying 2 extra building slots along with having 3 purple greeter pets should be enough for all basic point threahold rewards

I'm 41 years old, and if I write my senator and my local congressman and talk about some video game, they're gonna roll their eyes right out of socket. Because they still think kids play games, therefore problems like ours aren't serious until they're made serious.

And most players don't understand, these companies have conventions and meetings and different little retreats and stuff where they compare notes, win awards, showcase what they're working on, and even just hang out. So these guys all know each other.
It's no coincidence there's so much overlap in a lot of these games, or that there's an equally competitive set of markets among different IPs.

These companies have market strategists, and hire psychologists and research analysts to know exactly what to target and how. And they actively discuss this stuff
There's reports businesses can purchase which actively discuss these things, in some cases for pretty cheap.

Even here on server, we've had people showing up talking about the other title that's basically this but isn't this.

Some of us understand that it is intended to get that community ready to join the larger one here, to get them hooked in and invested so they don't sink themselves. Because we've seen it before. That's a reality of the mobile gaming industry.

The game is a social game but has limitations and discord is used to bridge the gap. There are some TA in trade that may help others within our alliance that you may not need but have spotted. Currently we use discord to discuss/ highlight them. Then the player then needs to manually search auction / notice items to find it. It would be more useful if we could share the TA directly to the chat, where others can then open the TA and either directly like the item so it appears in there favourite list or place a bid. This would save so much time.

Sharing TA is already available from own collection so it wouldn’t be too much effort from the dev’s team to extend it

So if Island and I are in the same alliance, and Island knows I'm looking for a better TA of a specific type, Island might say "hey Lia, I found this in the Auction. Check it out" and share the auction listing in AC
From there, I can access the direct listing, and decide if it suits my needs.

And vice versa. Maybe I list a piece I know someone can benefit from, but since I can't directly give it in trade to an alliance player, I can instead share the Auction listing to them.

• Consistent, very detailed levels of feedback that have been ignored and voted highly
• Hidden 'shadow' conversations with the senior moderating team and others alike

• Attempts to improve the processes for the betterment of the community (and have been met with defensive stances and disdain)
• Specific targeted, closed loop discord channels with 'experienced' community members

Cerb, as well as Chek, and others here are exceptionally insightful, and can offer perspectives from various viewpoints. Some moderators find more outspoken players intimidating or have a difficult time relating to them. Sometimes there is an issue where "tone" is mistaken, and context or nuance of what is said can be ignored.
Some of this is a language barrier issue, some is simply due to the mod being maybe a newer player or not being as informed of the history of the game and the issues players have had.

At the end of the day, I have found that, should a moderator take the time to really dig at the root of players frustrations, there can be better understanding all around. But also, sometimes moddies might default back to their statements they're shown in training on the mod server, or have used in their scenarios, and because many of us longer term players already know those, we might be a little more reactionary to the use of those.

Things like "I understand your frustration", "mods are players, like you", and "I am sorry this has ruined your good mood" tend to make players feel very much like we have been Customer Serviced, rather than actually heard.
It helps for newer mods who might default on those because of comfort (especially when English isn't a first language) to change phrasing or state - as Mirror did - that they are not aware of an event or feature but are interested in learning more to better advocate.

But the time you get the special rewards is based on the full clock hour.
So if you collect smth at 11.59, you will still get a new special rewards (biocaps, bombs etcpp) at 12.00.01.
it is not based on the event timers 1 hr to get the special rewards anymore.

I log on for things with my family, and I might fiddle around for a couple minutes here and there, but what's the point when I get two clicks of an event before I hit a paywall or specifically tooled mechanics to incentivize spending.

Everything ends in spending. There's no f2p or low/mid paths, without the end goal being "make them spend (more)". We have families, living expenses, jobs, school, and whole lives outside of the game.

A smart and able development company sees that and uses those to aid in developing both an interesting and lucrative model. FunPlus (and some other similar companies) see that and go "they don't need lives, they need us"

Mind, I used to be on for hours at a time, even with the lag and crashing. It was nothing to close the game tab, restart, and get right back to what I was doing.
In some cases I was happy doing it. But why bother anymore?
Almost five years in this game and the entire time, the customer experience has steadily declined. And they don't care, as long as they have the next batch hooked and ready to come in when they shut down their spoof.

I wish that they didn't do anything that made you materially stronger. March speed to infected, to mines. Gathering speed. Impact to alliance resources. Maybe a buff to your gain of alliance currency. None of the morale or rally cap stuff... no attack or defence buffs.

So, they actually appear to have made each stage a sliding scale against the low spender/F2P

I'm not even going to bother chasing this event anymore. I've been catching the advertiser, visiting the other parks to get the 20% boost, and what do I get? Not even a change of an extra 1000 coins in my stage revenue. What's the point?

They want to keep chasing us little fellas out of the game, it's whatever. They'll get their paychecks at the end of the day and run when it's finally not profitable, only to move onto another cash cow

Its just fancier words around their prior system. No AI, just preprogrammed responses that look like it. If you word the same query in a different manner AI would give a different response. This thing just gives you a premade paragraph

They know what they did at the time they did it, and they don't care. It doesn't take a math genius to realize that a player that diligently followsd the event will get exactly nothing from it. I was looking forward to it when I saw all the statues, and how it was being tied into the other events...and they just...well, disappointment would be the best term for it.
