Crim, you can always try contacting CS in game regarding the purchase, and ask if you can opt for something of an equivalent value which is more relevant this week, but you're likely to be told that the event items carry over.

Because of that, they generally won't issue any sort of exchange or reimbursement, but it's worth asking, I think, since they did keep the event screen up as though it were active, which is misleading to players

Exactly, which is why I think it should be pushed as a report. Unfortunately, coming to this server about buying packs which aren't relevant is really only good for raising the issues among players that it's happening, and pushing a feedback about event stores being active at misleading times.

For actual purchase issues, though, they go through CS.
And as I said, because it's misleading to players, I don't see any reason not to request an exchange to a relevant pack for this week instead.

The added benefit of doing so is that Crim would have a ticket number to pass to his GM to reference, as well as the token failure of a CS response to add to the CS response room here to address situations like this.

Or reimbursement because I don't use the other word, just in case it gets flagged as a conversation we're not supposed to be having

That's a concern of mine in this situation, because depending on the reason, they may say something like "event items remain in your backpack for use in the future" and decide not to reimburse.
That's why I want to specifically highlight the misleading nature of selling packs like Crim purchased in times where the event isn't playable, and hopefully facilitate at least an equivalent valued exchange for something Crim can use now. Because that was the whole purpose of buying the pack in the first place, to use now.

Actually, you should feel something already. You never know what they mean with their dates. Sometimes the end date is inclusive, sometimes it's exclusive, sometimes you can play till the end, sometimes you're greeted by a calculating page at the last day. It's chaos in bottles.

Some event bundles are available when their event is not active. Example: Desert Survival bundle is available for purchase but the event is not playable.

Consequence:

Players will purchase the event bundles for instant use, and discover they cannot make use of their purchases. They will view the company negatively and consider it a form of theft.

Solution:

Do not market event bundles when the event is not active.

Dumb thing, the first time I had this situation was during effortless progression and tapping on a bundle by mistake cause there's no pop up protection on a lot of bundles.

They refunded that no problem just asked I waited till effortless was done then re issued it.

This time they wouldn't budge for whatever reason and refused any logical reason to why they wouldn't refund this this time even though nothing was stopping them.

Especially after countless helps then turing to discord for help when the lovely mod decided to mute and silence me cause getting refunds is a no no 😇

And some bundles are placed in a way where it is really easy to touch/click by accident

Idk about anyone else, but what I'm observing here is that Crim was successful in getting a reimbursement on a pack purchased for an event which isn't even active, but the reimbursement isn't equivalent to the diamond sum for the initial pack cost.

The consequence here is clear, when players use the CS system for help - in good faith - yet don't receive assistance relative to their uncommon problems.

A solution would be to simply ensure that, when these things happen, the equivalent cost of the pack is reimbursed to the player. If a pack is 499 diamonds - or an equivalent cost of $4.99 USD - then those diamonds should be received back to the player upon revocation of incorrectly purchased items.

Sometimes when packs are purchased in error, players who do receive a correction to their accounts don't recieve the correct reimbursement. If a pack is valued at 499 diamonds, at times those diamonds will not be returned in full but the other items purchased are still removed.

Consequence:

When players come to CS in good faith to correct issues with mistaken purchases for old events or inactive features, they have an expectation of service and care. Players who don't receive a full reimbursement in cases of mistaken purchasing - when no history of frequent refunding is clear - are let down, and feel like they're being punished for an error cause by the game's marketing or design.
They are less likely to use purchase options in the future, and may consider choosing a free play style.

Solution:

Simple, if a player reports a mistaken purchase, and there is supporting reason for reimbursement, return the full amount of diamonds used for the specific purchase (or their equivalent currency of used) upon revoking the mistakenly purchased items.

Tbh, if I were them, I would have had a redemption center for old event and skin items in every anniversary event, but obvs with a cap for it so people were limited and more incentivized to consider a spending option. This also would raise engagement because people would go "well, I'll at least just go to trade these out" and now they're faced with new shiny pretty stuff they could get in return while they're recycling.
Because it would only occur at fixed times yearly, the amount of people who would specifically save items would be ridiculous. People would probably buy packs through the year with less of a focus on "I didn't need that skin" and more of a "well, I can trade it at this time", so their purchasing would likely be more frivolous because they've rationalized it to themselves as a later reward.

I expect that sometimes, an icon might need an extra press because it didn't log the first one. I expect that new events might be a little glitched while they're seeing how it works on Live servers after collecting their Test feedback.

I don't expect to crash during Trap with 10 players, spam recall in a panic because the five seconds delay on a key press thought I meant to attack someone's mine when I was just looking at whether any were unoccupied, lose a minute and a half switching accounts in events, watch march skins move sideways, deal with years old challenge cards bugs...

Each cat has its own buff so choosing the right cat is important. You can change the cat on the left before you enter. I have the most success with red or purple .

I agree with you there. Presumably, AI assist is capable of generating near-human responses for players, right? Or at least quickly summarizing information related to an issue in a way that is both relaxed and conversational.
I do get same responses at times from other AI bots, but they're often low-grade and the pool of responses to generate a response from is relatively small compared to what this one would have.
So it's a little concerning to receive the same exact response, instead of a variation of the response.

I don't want to be negative but forgetting to claim mines is part of the game, it's like ACs that you have to be careful not to lose them, but sometimes it happens and then you get them back.

Applying reminders would result in most people not losing mines and those who failed to get good levels of mines at the beginning would hardly get them later. and that is quite unfair and can lead to fights too, The best thing is that the developers include more mines on the map or making the high level mines to fit more people in, like the lower levels where many more people fit.

You can get tokens all you want but you aren't able to upgrade your building as much if you don't spend on it.
F2P gets 2 ( maybe 3 ) buildings at the start which are maxed pretty fast and then you're stuck anyway. I have mine on lv5 and need to wait for days while I have over 1.5K coins... So it's just another scam event like usual

I have a large order being picked up today, and they have to finalize their invoice. If I wanted to wave cash at the devs, I absolutely could, but why when they haven't given the players anything to warrant it?

I mean sure, it could be just for my own gain, but what does that help? It just shows them that they can do these things with no recourse.

And if you're typing something in reply to cs on phone(android), you can't see anymore what you're typing, because the layout changed drastically (it's bad now) and the text input box scrolls up into oblivion as soon as the onscreen keyboard is shown. Stop changing the format

The first was perfect, then they made a secret menu that hardly anyone knew about then they give us this junk which makes it more distracting and impossible to find out where exactly to make a report and in what category.

Do you see how the layout is. The only place we can make a report not a bug report because it gives an automated feedback then closes instantly, is the farthest left option. For anniversary feedback then click other to make a general report. When i go to type report or anything else it gives me these options

Their are no other options for reports like the secret menu provided for all other events and such, hence devs ruined yet another perfect thing if they would fire the nitwit who thinks this actually helps us. Rather it helps them by limiting reports and feedback to call them out on their BS.

It does add onto your solo kills on your profile, you may of got confused between that and solo kills does not grant merit points anymore. This was changed swiftly from the first alliance duels.

Today our enemy who declared duel on us didn't even fight for towers that's why i got confused when the kills was growing. I decided to burn their settlements because they didn't give us merit points

Between the game having issues and my internet, I couldn't even stay in Duels long enough to help anyone. One of our players had black clouds everywhere until she reset everything, I couldn't even switch accounts without crashing or hanging on the loading screen.
It was a mess.
