There are a lot of things this company does inherently "wrong", not just in actual development, but in other aspects which surround gaming such as marketing and press, customer care, etc.
Where the companies they're so desperately trying to mimic are mostly successful as they've figured out the link being customer interaction and title success, this company has decided we're just decorations.

I'm jaded about it now but originally i was astonished that a company charging so much and pretending to be so global and successful was so ----ing awful at being a deceloper

Even when I downloaded the game four years ago, I was confused by how they were insisting they're so global and successful when the only thing I had heard about Kingsgroup was that they made these types of games and they were "mid".

No game dev should be okay with being called mid.

Just to put that out there.

But also, I've always felt their insistence at being known as a global successful developer was a bit of "fake it till you make it". Meaning if they said it enough, and said it convincingly and confidently enough, others would believe it.

They just sort of missed that, in the game industry, you do actually need to have a product which reflects what you're saying, at least somewhat.

They've also neglected, whether purposefully or by proxy of the fact that they aren't actually paying attention to us, that it's so easy to make games at this point using tools found for a reasonable fee or even open source, that many of their players are "junior devs" and we do know some of the technical aspects of what makes gaming a satisfying experience.

Its funny how this event devolved. When it appeared first time there were wars and fights when someone stole your rewards crate. With each next appearance less and less people were porting over. Last time it was around chests with rewards were often picked up from hive because people did not deem it good enough to port for them 🤣

I’d say the matching is about 85% fair and if you are getting bad matchup, check your members.

1. Instead of having one sound for RSS collection, we now have individual sounds. These files may not be properly optimized but I have no way to confirm this or the individual size of each.

2. Tempest Arms now has new materials and functionality and UI.

3. Is the new Behemoth already in this update and simply just turned off for the majority of states and users? Not sure but we can see UI changes are present.

4. What other materials or items are loaded in the background, even though they're not being utilized immediately?

This is what comes to mind/stands out to me, but no way should it equal a 1.75 GB increase. Then again, we are talking about FunPlus, which seems to struggle with game optimization

We're on the same page regarding a lot of this.

It's a good thing you didn't actually load it and had the patches in a queue so to speak, as you most likely missed the inability to click "missions" or click and dismiss the icon over the Events Billboard, though there are other bugs. One of the patches took care of this.

I think a troubling trend/pattern was developing when "some" Mods and later players were discussing new phones, phablets and tablets...just to play SOS (hopefully they were getting them for other reasons).

I would see comments in our AC such as "I just got a new phone so loading it up now and things should work better". Say what Willis?

The obvious pushback here should have been "no, how about FunPlus properly optimize their game, and stop adding bloat and new items every other week?"

I always wait to load it specifically so I can avoid many of the early issues with the updates, while still taking full advantage of the comp they sometimes send out to all and sundry.

I was complaining about this game and all its issues to my husband and he is looking at a phone with 8GB RAM. I just stared at him because my phone is absolutely fine. It works amazingly with everything else, has more than enough storage to spare, and does everything I want and need it to. It's the game that's the issue.

I have games on my iPad that are as old as SOS and while admittedly I don't play them nearly as often as SOS, some have not crashed a single time in nearly 3 years.

Even my desktop apps for work and other purposes do not crash at anywhere near the frequency of SOS and in the odd instance they do, a patch is quickly released and the developers of those apps will admit it was them, not us, but the problem has been resolved.

Meanwhile, some mods, GMs and players are still stuck on "it's you, not us", "have you considered buying a new device?", "have you deleted and reinstalled the app?"

I did, thankfully. What I'm noticing, and was going to ask others if they are seeing the same, is that FP is ending events earlier than reset.

e.g. Points Event IIRC ends at reset, but with 10 minutes to go before reset today I could not find the tab. It was gone. Then I received my ranking rewards shortly after reset.

Will confirm and share with folks here and ask a mod if they know why this is happening

Hmmm...I think Points Events always ends around 1hr before reset, then it uses the 1 hour after it ends until reset to I guess do "calculating", so after reset you get your ranking rewards via Rewards Stash.

The Story Mission rewards are split into 2 parts.

1. You get certain hero frags for completing boss levels.
2. You get the chips so that you can upgrade the heroes the turtles will resonate with.

I usually don't spend a lot but I've spent twice on the tycoon and one hour after putting 10 bucks in this s ... they removed 1K green money like this without a warning, nothing in the log, it just vanished. And when I call support they say "You have been delivered your green money no refund" lol.

I'm even taking a chance with potions right now because they could gen skip us even earlier than they've done some states, and then close to 1K potions would be absolutely worthless.

I agree with you 100%… but we know they want money… if you save them, you can buy more things the next time the event is released and that’s not good for them
